I guess I was expecting something with more of an edge to it, you know with the whole sex, drugs, and rock-and-roll attitude since the story deals with up and coming rockstars with the added fuel of young adults, however I was pleasantly surprised to find that some of the characters had adorable personalities or quirks about them that made me wish they were real.

Love among step-siblings, surrogacy, faithfulness, honesty, redemption, forgiveness, are all tested between Devon and Mila. While they didn’t grow up together, they certainly carried a secret attraction and chemistry that was increasingly harder to hide. In this situation, Devon is married and therefore unavailable, however, he’s feeling incapable in his marriage and finds failure in that not to be an option, which I totally admired him for. Dev doesn’t run at the first sign of trouble in paradise, but this wasn’t the first time and increasingly weighs heavily on him. It’s at one of the lowest points in his marriage that Mila makes her presence more pronounced in his life than ever before and soon the lines are blurred. Does he cave to temptation and happiness? Or fight for the loyalty he vowed to another? As the reader, I have to say the answer comes rather quickly what he should do, but alas the story must go on with a few twists and turns before coming to that same resolve.
The wife, Monique, has without a doubt a very sharp tongue and it was hard to comprehend that person to be Dev’s wife and for him to so willingly take whatever filth she decided to spew out. He took a lot from her all for the sake of saving their crumbling marriage and remain true to the vows he takes seriously. Even still though, it was hard to witness him handing over his man-card to a woman who obviously didn’t deserve him. I was glad Mila was able to give it back to him although the cost of too much wasted time, among other things, was truly frustrating and left me a little unsatisfied with the ending. Was there a HEA? Yes! However, what irked me a little was how quickly everything was wrapped up. It felt like the issues that were so prevalent for the majority of the story and then a bonus unexpected development for Dev and Mila should’ve been paid its due, but was (to me) a little glossed over.
Regardless of which character was more right than wrong, they both hesitated, miscommunicated, and made mistakes that should’ve been further developed before almost immediately going for the HEA. Several questions for the couple still linger in my mind, but then again I can’t complain too badly since this story made me open my mind to a new possibility or idea of what love can do to a person and what someone is willing to do for someone they love. Not at all what I expected, but so glad I read it. As a side note: a few editing errors can be found, but nothing I couldn’t recover from quickly....more

Page one and already I knew something was coming in a big way for Marley. Things progress rapidly from there and I really appreciated that instead of a long drawn out thing of misery. Could it have added to its appeal with more backstory? Maybe, but I didn't really mind.
Enjoyable story and characters even if I did wish that Marley had more of an independent streak in her. That could be my own inherit indy streak talking, but still when the shit hit the fan and things eventually crumbled around her, I wish she would've hit back even a little so that those Chrysander could understand even a little of what she felt in the beginning. I know it's a petty thing to do to someone you love, but even a little more groveling on his part wouldn't have killed him, so I don't feel too bad for wanting that for Marley. The eventual coming to Jesus conversation that changes everything and the truth blurts out for the world or in this case Chrysander to hear, came in at about 80% so there's a lot of miscommunication and half-truth's to contend with in mounting frustration until then. Not too bad and it is broken up with a few sexy times that gives insight into how things used to be between Marley and Chrysander like his playfulness, alphaness, and protectiveness made even more so by Marley's advancing pregnancy. It was nice to see those moments between them, but the constant ice-bucketing of something or someone coming between them kept me on edge with increasing frustration. Couldn't wait for Marley to finally get her memory back and take back her truth and dignity and shame those for shaming her without proof. And I could've stood to learn more about Marley's captivity and possibly had that play into the story more, but then again if wasn't going to add to the story then I guess it would've been pointless, so I'll just have to leave it at that.
Epilogue time before I knew it and though again here's where I would've liked a little more meat to the story to make me really feel like that first 80% was worth it, but all's well that ends well, so again I don't mind too terribly....more

This is one oA word of caution to those readers with sensitivities towards dubious consent where the body might be willing, but the mind not so much. This is one of Emmaline's biggest struggles where her mind and body are at war with each other. She knows she should hate the Lykae and be especially suspicious with the one who has managed to both take her captive and completely captivate her at the same time and it's a struggle that many times tows the line of not only dubious consent, but also that love/hate relationship that tends to be starting basis of so many epic fictional relationships, so I wasn't too terribly concerned about the rest.

Sounds confusing, but really this is one of those series that I fell in love with from the beginning, but as time went on, the storyline doesn't necessarily get better and became quite repetitive.
I liked that we finally got to meet the babies and surprises abound where they're concerned right from the beginning, however, I felt like there wasn't enough time spent with them either. Merry spent more time focused on the 'she loves me, she loves me not' complaining of the other men than focused on any of her usual business of kicking ass and taking names of her enemies. I miss that Merry and there are several reasons now for her to be that Merry, but nothing happened. I'm afraid to say that I skimmed through some of the pages, especially when details overtook the story and the repetitiveness of those details got to be too much. I was glad for some of the reminders in the beginning, but enough was enough when by the end they were still repeating themselves. And I get it, Merry is hormonal because of the pregnancy and the babies should take center stage and yet here it comes again – the but – this felt more like a filler book for the several years long wait between releases than actual storyline progression book.
Things moved rapidly toward the end and yet as strange as this may sound, I didn't get the satisfaction of bloodshed and violence and vengeance that I was hoping for for Merry and her family. There was a glimmer of it in the end and Merry's need to be ruthless should be driven into overdrive thanks to the primal need to protect what's hers, but I'm sorry to say overall Merry fell short big time for me in this one. Better luck next time I suppose....more

Not really, but oddly enough I was ok with that since this wasn't a retelling of the Disney classic. It was short and to the point, which if that's what you're in the mood for then this should suit you just fine.
You have Annabella (Bella) who is a mail-order, virgin bride and Griffin, the beastly man in both attitude and by the scarring on his body. A premeditated mix-up brings these two together and from there there is lots of sex and growling. Sounds fun, right? Well in this story evil does pay a short visit, but don't worry, the inevitable HEA still sits on the horizon with a look into their future. That was the part that I wished were a bit longer, but otherwise this short romp delivers a nice erotic punch for an afternoon of not-to-serious reading....more

Cassie and Shane are absolutely an opposites attract, insta-lust situation. When they meet it's instant physical chemistry, but after satisfaction comes the unwanted truth that they're about to become step-siblings. What was supposed to be just be a one-night stand, turns into a possible future with awkward family holidays. They make a somewhat tentative truce and begin a journey on the back of a Harley towards this awkward future in the hopes that on the way there they'll be able to work out of their systems the attraction that only seems to be growing.
You can probably already tell what happens next from there and while I enjoyed some parts of their banter and the no holds barred sex they were having, the connection to the characters individually was lost. I really liked Cassie at first and how down-to-earth she was, but I didn't like so much the aspect of her personality that lets Shane walk all over her. I wanted her to stick to her guns and prove her independence by not letting him instantly win every argument by using her attraction to him as a distraction. As time went on, it made her seem needy and eventually she wasn't the strong female I thought she was. Shane was a jerk from the start. At least he didn't bother hiding this fact or what exactly he wanted from her, but I thought she gave it to him way too easily. Blackmail, violence, and even a natural disaster doesn't deter them from seeking each other out sexually, but I was more put off than turned on. I'll say at least Cassie makes a full circle with her independent nature making a reappearance by the end, but it was too little too late for me to fully engage her character. Shane shares a side of himself I'd not seen, so that was nice, but again too little too late for me to believe him. I think I was looking for more badass Shane and instead got more asshole Shane.
This may sound weird, but maybe a little more angst would've helped in the last third to show that the characters have reformed themselves and matured into a new level of intimacy. Wanted to believe them, but I just couldn't. Could've been a crazy good plot, but the characters fell flat for me, so I thought the story was just ok....more

Loved Violet's personality and Alex's shy, yet sexy Alphaness!!! Watch out when he let's it out and I don't just mean Super MC either, lol!!! You'll have to read the story to get the meaning behind that one, but seriously if you enjoy a laugh while reading a smutty story with witty characters then this story is a must-read for you!
I admittedly went into this figuring I would be in the majority of reviewers who raved about the story and I'm hear to report that I was so right. I can honestly say that the only time I was disappointed was when it ended. I could read about these characters forever and never get enough of especially Violet's antic's and hilarious banter with herself and the other characters. She's just the type of female that I wish I were brave enough to be with her wicked sense of humor and cool attitude. I love how Alex couldn't stay away from her in spite of all her quirks and her inappropriate verbal vomit. These two definitely had fun between the sheets and Alex's dominance makes it's appearance in the most delicious ways. Yet he's still courteous and conscious of Violet's wants and needs with his thoughtfulness both in the and out of the bedroom. To me that's a real Alpha-man and that's why he's going straight to the top of my Alpha-man pile:)
Aside from all of that goodness, you get an amazing story of two people figuring out if a relationship is in the cards for them despite their individual hesitance and a few outside forces who've not accepted the idea. There's some drama here and there, but nothing really major, which was just find by me. Even though I was certain how this thing was going to end, I still really enjoyed the ride and wouldn't mind going for another. Despite the somewhat ominous looking cover, this story is very much on the bright side of hilariousness and raunchy sexy times with an Alpha who just won't quit. What more could you ask for?

The whole mafia vs. MC bit had me really feeling like this story was going somewhere - maybe even with a Romeo and Juliet undertone, but I couldn't have been more wrong.
I really wanted to like Maya, but she just came across as too dim-witted and a complete doormat much of the time to her abusive father and her cocky (not in a good way) 1-night stand turned future baby-daddy. Both of these guys have major control issues and piggish tendencies towards the opposite sex. Who would want someone like that? Well I kept reading despite my reservations to see if at least Johnny would turn this around. Whether he did or didn't is subject to each reader's opinion naturally, but this reader couldn't find the silver lining to a guy who is insulting, creepy, controlling, and laugh's at you not with you. At times, the sex felt demeaning and there was no real intimacy between Maya and Johnny to create a connection. To me, all Maya accomplished was to jump from one abusive relationship with her father with very little freedom to one with Johnny with the same restrictions and an on command/demand sex life.
Also when the central conflict came to a boiling point, it fell flat with a very rushed aftermath and botched recovery. While this is the second story in the series, it can be read as a standalone.
Nothing about this story helped to answer any questions from the first and it seems it's true purpose was to give me more. NCuriouser and curiouser...
Nothing about this story helped to answer any questions from the first and it seems it's true purpose was to give me more. Not that I'm complaining - I'm totally having fun with it and absolutely loving the off-the-charts HOT sex that Dair and Iris are having. They explored a couple of kinks that they each wanted to try, so the spice is not at all lacking in that department. Not to worry if you're not a fan of BDSM or any other hardcore sexual acts. They're simply enjoying going to the edge and trying something new without any extra fuss (if that makes any sense). I like that Iris is breaking Dair out of his shell and making him feel and act younger. He's not old and shouldn't be acting like his life has ended because of one bad marriage, but Iris is definitely the elixir to that problem.
I will say that the story doesn't move a whole lot and before you know it ends with a letter that should've explained alot, but only served to frustrate. Which is why it's handy to have the next story downloaded and ready to go.
Now I'm off to figure out what secrets is Iris protecting......more

I just couldn't figure Iris out and that was obviously the point, but unlike most other stories where the plotline is known almost from the beginning, this one is different. And I really enjoyed that it was from a male POV. Instead of the male lead being the enigmatic one who not only pursues, but also leaves without a trace after a great night of sex, the female is instead in charge and takes what she wants. Really enjoyed how one uptight, routine driven, Dair loses his inhibitions little by little and steps away from the norm for the unknown with Iris. I for one went right along with him and couldn't wait to find out what happened next.

I thought the first 2 were heart-breaking, but this one opens up all of the old wounds from the first 2 books and shows the baddest of the scars in a way that's supposed to be healing, but hard to read at first. Don't get me wrong, I really took the time to savor this one knowing that it would come to an eventual, bittersweet end, but I wasn't prepared for how much time would've passed from where the last book left things. I found the time passing more realistic that way though, but it does prove that not all wounds can be healed with just the passage of time alone. Sometimes it takes facing the person who put them there.
Danika is back and stronger than ever. She's used the tragedies in life to fuel her and made some real progress on her goals. However, in her personal life, both socially and in relationships, she struggles. Normal just isn't going to cut it no matter how much she wishes it would. She might've been hiding from some real painful emotions and memories, but I can't say that I would've been any different if it were me.
Tristan is heard alot more in this story with his POV showing the extent of his thoughts and frustrations alot more than in the first 2 books. He's been dealing with his lot in life and turned the pain into something kind of expected, but no less successful and just where he should be. I LOVED that he gave chase to Dankia when the opportunity presented itself. Several times. He's not the type to give up and he's no different and probably more aggressive in his pursuit in this story. Definitely one of my top book-boyfriend's of all time, but wow does he know how to press buttons (and I don't just mean the good kind)! He's definitely a pusher and much like he did in the beginning of this series, but pushing his way into Danika's life and heart, he tries again in this one with intense results.
More than once this is a frustrating read since the details to what's transpired since Tristan and Danika last saw each other come out somewhat slowly and each dealt with jealousy, denial, anger, regret, and always a longing for a do-over, but not knowing if they're too far gone to come back. I will say Tristan's not the only one who frustrated me. Danika's sassy mouth makes her say things she shouldn't, which is how she copes, but the word-vomit can turn any tender moment into one of apology really quickly. And Tristan can be the king of tender moments without even really trying!
I was a bit disappointed by the ending, which I can't really explain without spoilers, so I'll just say that it left me with mixed feelings on one hand and blissfully happy on the other. One of the main points of the conflict to healing their relationship didn't come out until further towards the end and it just seemed to me like that that part wasn't given it's due like some of the other revelations. I didn't like Tristan's reaction no matter how painful it was for him, my mind was constantly on how Danika should've been treated more like a queen for having dealt with a great many painful things on her own, but this one truly affected her future self. Aside from that, this trilogy was more of an experience than just reading. Very unique in showing how self-destructive addiction and love can be and what it takes to turn things around. Tristan and Danika were fast in their destruction, but the rebuild was nothing short of admirable in many ways. This trilogy is definitely one for the books - literally!

As much as I missed Tristan and Danika as a somewhat carefree couple in the first story, this book is where the heart of the truth is - where the breakpoint lives and breathes until there is nothing left but raw emotion and damage to repair.
Danika is a survivor to the truest sense of the word and this is full circle moment where she must decide when enough is enough. I couldn't help but feel for her and with her throughout the entire story. Not knowing when that moment will come, but knowing it was on the horizon, when she'd have to decide when she needed to stop fighting for them and start fighting for herself. When that moment came it nearly broke me from finishing the story, but I knew there was no way I was going to stop.
There were sweet, bittersweet, and torturous moments throughout that just completely swept me into their story and had me wanting to throw my ereader. By the end, I was wrung-out and left with nothing but the need to dive into the next story. Rock Bottom is a fitting title to this part of their love story for sure. ...more

I had that sense from the beginning that this was going to be one of those stories that would stick with me for a long time and now I can officially say that that is most definitely the case and I'm not even done with Tristan and Danika's story yet, which is exciting and scary at the same time since that can only mean more sweetness and tragedy await them.
My only true complaint is that I really would've like to read more from Tristan's POV - there are a few chapters of him at some very poignant moments, but not nearly enough to feed my addiction of him. Mad respect for Danika and all she'd gone through to become the person that she is. Tristan pulled the story of her past out of her, but I couldn't help but feel he was a bit of hypocrite for not doing the same sharing with her. Still he made her slightly better person than she already was by making her open up and release some of those skeletons she'd been hiding in her closet for too long. Now if only Tristan would let her help him face his own demons...
Just a warning to readers who may take exception to reading stories that include rape and substance abuse. Although neither is very graphic in detail, the backstory and mention of both (past and present) is still there....more
