In this story we now focus on Gabriel's twin brother Nicholas St. John who we met briefly in the first story 9 Rules To Break When Romancing A Rake, now in his own story he defiantly holds his own bringing all that quite intensity, intrigue and drama to the forefront. Drawing in Isabel Townsend, his love interest, who has secrets of her own and little do she know all the drama and action that comes to her and her house inhabitants with her newest house guest. She surely didn't expect for Nicolas St. John to show up at her door and Nicholas didn't expect to fall for the woman behind it. Isabel's quite world in the country and Nicholas quite solitary life soon becomes the center of action that will change Nicolas and Isabel's lives forever.
Sarah MacLean took me on an entertaining wild ride with two such strong captivating characters both carrying secrets and fighting for a love that they couldn't fathom happening to them. I really enjoyed how independent and strong both characters were, especially Isabel who had the courage to take life in both hands when things were at there worst and make things better for her and her little brother. During the time period it was refreshing to see a lady not afraid to do what needed to be done, not trying to find a man to fix things for her. I enjoyed Nicholas a.k.a Nick's heart and how caring and genuine he was. How he came to understand and care for Isabel and the others and in overcoming his needs to try and be the hero realized the value in having a partner who was willing to love him as much as he did. The chemistry and courting between Nicholas and Isabel had me on edge flipping page after page to see what would happen next and who would find out the others secret first and whether their growing love could stand after all the truths came out. I liked how MacLean integrated all the rules into the story which added another level of humor to the story. As I said before Sarah MacLean did another amazing job telling a story filled with humor, action, suspense, drama and romance and I can't wait for her next book....more

Gwen Hayes has a clear talent at creating a rich dark world filled with unforgettable characters and an unforgettable story.
As we follow Theia Anderson we see her trying to navigate her mundane life at hiding her reckless spirit and who she really is trying to please her father. Who tries his hardest to keep her sensible and quiet by monitoring everything about Theia from where she goes to what she wears. Throughout the story I was bordering on feeling sorry for her father and disliking him immensely.
Though some may see Theia allowing her father to control of her life as weakness but I see strength in Theia that she doesn’t go crazy with everything she’s battling inside. Even though Theia tries to stay quiet and do as she is told there is a spark inside her that she can’t hide. Haden, the dark mysterious stranger who comes into the picture see’s the spark that Theia tries to contain and makes it his mission to kindle that spark whether in dreams or reality.
The romance between Theia and Haden was as intense as the storyline which had me turning the pages to find out what would happen next. With the diverse supernatural YA tales on the market now, Falling Under was refreshingly unique with a world that is filled with so much potential.
Readers looking for an intensely unique paranormal romance with an engaging storyline should read Falling Under. I can’t wait to read more of Theia and Haden’s story.

In the third book to her Love by Numbers series the focus is on Juliana, the younger sister of twin brothers Gabriel and Nicolas St. John, who finds her love in the most unlikely person. The prim and proper Simon Pearson, Duke of Leighton. Now Simon has a great aversion to gossip and scandal which Juliana was cloaked in ever since she stepped into England and Gabriel and Nicolas’s lives, so I was curious and excited to figure out how her and Simon relationship would go. MacLean is known for bringing adventure and sizzling hot excitement to the historical London society and she defiantly brought it and more with this story. The romantic tension between Juliana and Simon was off the charts and I loved how Juliana’s strong personality slowly striped away at Simon’s cold proper shell, showing him to be the hot blooded male filled with passion that he kept tightly contained. From the start I was drawn into the story and was taken on a wild ride filled with scandals that I didn’t want to end. Though this is a romance with the predictable ending of happily ever after, MacLean made the journey sizzling hot and adventurous. With so much intrigue that ultimately me questioning all the way up until the end. Overall I really enjoyed everything about Eleven Scandals to Start To Win a Duke’s Heart and recommend this book to romance readers.

The chemistry between Dae and Roxy was intense and steamy, just the way I like it. There was a clear and infectious connection between them from the very beginning that felt so genuine. Just because this is a love story Silver succeeded in creating moments for Dae and Roxy to naturally grow into their attraction for each other, not the 'I loved you with all my heart the moment I saw you' stuff. She made them work for it and it didn't fell rushed or forced be real in how the stumbled upon each other and grew to love through the initial connection and circumstances that brought them together. The plot was very engaging and had me flipping the pages to find out what would happen next. As Roxy and Dae's world got closer and closer to intersecting so did the suspense and intrigue. Silver created a vast entertaining world built on the various myths and tales of the underworld but had new twists that made it fresh and new. With the main characters on different sides of a brewing war, their growing attraction made things so much more complicated. Roxy was a strong character who though came from a shady background, forced herself to be different and made something of her life. Even though it meant going against the orders of a big bad soul reaper. I enjoyed her guts to say what she felt no matter who she was facing though it put her more in danger most of the time but it was enjoyable all the same. That she was of ethic background really added another element to the story as a whole. Being quick and able to fight for the protection of humanity added depth making her a great character overall. Dae was also a strong and entertaining character and was a perfect match for the feisty Roxy. With a past as crazy and complicated made the story that much more interesting. I enjoyed his quick wit and vices that added to the layers of his character and made him stand out. That he was able to laugh and make jokes and not be the typical brooding male was really refreshing. Eve Silver created a great start to what can be a great series filled with action, romance and mystery. I can't wait to read what will happen next in the story because the brewing war between the powers of the underworld is far from over....more

The tale of vampires have been used so much though out history with so many distinctions and variations that I thought I'd seen and read it all. But instead of following Lenah through her life being changed into a vampire, we experience Lenah changed back into a human after five hundred years of being a vampire. And not just any vampire, one of the meanest, baddest vampire out there, a vampire queen. After her first love Rhode, the vampire who changed her, under went the fatal act to turn her back into a human. Lenah is left in her 16 year old body with her all of her memories to go through living life as normal human girl at one of the most prestigious boarding schools on the east coast, Wickham Academy. Maizel had me from the very first chapter with Lenah waking up in her human body all the way through to the end. There was so much intensity with Lenah adjusting to her new life experiencing old and new things. While surviving high school and all the drama that comes with it and trying to escape her evil past and her vampire coven out to bring her back. On top of all that Lenah has to deal with the intense feelings she feels for the popular human Justin. Maizel also captured me with her well written story and characters both main and secondary, each character, from Lenah's friend Tony to her other vampire love Vicken to the antagonizing Tracy and her posse. I loved how I was able to really understand Lenah, through flashbacks of her past as a evil deadly vampire, which made her transformation and regaining her humanity so mesmerizing. I really enjoyed the friendship with Tony and all of her romances each being intense and important to Lenah's life and adding so much to the story. The maturity of the writing and seeing what Lenah was internally going through was great. This was an amazing read filled with drama, intrigue, action and romance. I would definably recommend this story to readers ready for a fresh new twist in the vampire tale....more

I was gratefully happy that it was met after reading this book. The story had it all, engaging three dimensional characters, detailed scenery and plot. I don't want to get into too much detail because I fear it would totally ruin the story for those few who haven't read this amazing series. And to all of you I say go out and start this series you will not be disappointed!!!! It's filled with so much action, so much drama while the main character Rose and her friends are so down to earth and believable despite all the supernatural elements. I feel in this installment there was a lot of growth within Rose in finding out who she was against all of the odd stacked against her. There was so much drama with love and the ultimate price one pays in the face of doing what's in ones heart and whets right. Majority of the time those things are not the same. I felt that Rose made the right choice in the end though it was a very hard one. All in All this story had everything romance, intrigue, drama leaving me wanting the next book to hurry up and come out!!! I strongly recommend this series!!!...more

This was unAcross the Universe was an intense thought provoking sci-fi novel that had me in its grip from the opening paragraph and didn’t let me go. This was uniquely different story is set in the future following two teen aged kids, Amy and Elder, as they navigate the crazy society on board the space ship Godspeed which is filled with so much secrets and danger that if found out would drastically change Amy and Elder, plus all the passengers on board lives.
I really enjoyed reading Beth Revis’s intensely detailed world. Even though the story was set on the confining space ship it felt like a vast world filled with interesting sights and activities. Revis had a great writing style that made the story an easy, clear read with a pace that didn’t leave me bored or confused but satisfied.
Amy and Elder aren’t exactly your regular teenaged characters with the story set in the future their mindsets and goals are vastly different, making them as interesting as the plot itself. The split point of views between Elder and Amy gave great insight into both the characters lives and showcased their differences as well as their connection which tied in perfectly with the plot. Even though their mindsets were different from teens today, Amy and Elder were still relatable characters, going through relatable situations like finding who they were as individuals and being able to go with their convictions.
There were a lot of deep important themes that were raised within the story that left me thinking long after the story was over. Like the power of the individual, the importance of one’s voice and having the guts to stand up for what is right even if it means going against the norm and all that you know. Across the Universe was an amazing read filled with action, suspense, romance and danger. It re-opened my eyes to how great sci-fi genre can be and I feel that readers will greatly enjoy it. ...more

This book was indeedAfter seeing so many positive reviews about this book I have to say that after reading The Edge of Never they were totally right. This book was indeed amazing. I love a good life discovering road trip!
The Edge of Never took the idea of road trip to a whole other level and I loved every moment of it. The story was filled with so much adventure and intrigue that I was totally immersed in the story.
Camryn and Andrew really brought the story to life for me. Camryn and Andrew were compelling, well-developed characters with intriguing individual personalizes that I enjoyed getting to know. Things got much more interesting when they interacted and the development of their relationship from casual strangers, to friends to lovers. Not only did I enjoy watching their relationship grow into something more, I enjoyed how they addressed and helped tackle each other’s skeletons, ultimately growing as characters.
The dual point of view was a great way to tell the story, allowing me to get a deeper understanding and connection with the characters.
Now the romance was really steamy. From the first time that Camryn and Andrew met there was a clear connection. I enjoyed the slow build up of their relationship and how it blazed with they finally got together.
Overall The Edge of Never turned out to be a very entertaining story with interesting complex characters, steamy romance all set with an awesome road trip filled with drama and character growth that had me interested at what would happen next. J. A. Redmerski is now on my radar and I look forward to reading more from her.

I devoured this story with it’s amazing characters and the crazy lives they lived. Larissa Ione trapped me into her amazing world filled with uniquely dangerous creatures and the even more dangerous situations they find themselves in. In this final story of the demonica series we follow Sin, the only female Seminus demon in existence. Sin’s life got extremely complicated when she unleashed a global plague that started eliminating werewolves left and right with no cure in sight. When she was paired with Conall half vampire-half werewolf, who she has a history with and who hates her because he thinks she intentionally unleashed the plaque which is killing his people, things got interesting fast.
From the first demonica series Pleasure Unbound I was entranced by Ione's characters and they’re crazy adventures and I feel that Sin and Conall was craziest of all. Both very strong characters with strong personalities, convictions, and pasts that continued to haunt them while shaping who they are. This made it a pleasure to read how they came together to form of romantic bond tight enough to get through all the baggage they carried and the crazy situation being thrown at them.
The romance between Conall and Sin was sexy as it was exciting and dangerous. There’s so much sexual tension as well as the tension between their personalities that it left my heart racing. When together I didn’t know if they were going to jump each others bones or fight. As usual Ione did a great job creating this amazing world with such attention to detail that not for one moment did I feel any disconnection. There was so much action and adventure layered with danger and romance that I couldn’t read fast enough.
Readers old and new will instantly fall in love with Ione's characters and world. Ione has the ability to take creatures that are normally painted as evil and demented, giving them hope, dreams and feelings that I couldn’t help but feel attracted and I thank her for that. I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for her next series Lords of Deliverance that I know I will love just as much. ...more

They are filled with action, adventure and super hot romance with characters that I can’t help but connect with. I was hooked from the beginning and I’m glad to say that I’m still hooked. What worked for me in Navarro’s Promise was that even though this is first a love story between two people, Ms. Leigh has this ability of creating these complicated characters with vastly different lives and emotional baggage and places them in these crazy action packed situations that I can’t help but feel for them. These interesting compelling characters is what drives the story for me. Ms. Leigh takes the predictable romance; boy falls for girl and turns it on its head. Because adventure is not that they get together but how to they come together. I never know how it will happen. How will they overcome their differences to be ultimately be together? Are they really meant to be together besides what mother nature forces upon them? These are the questions that have me filliping the pages to find out Navarro and Mica’s answers. I enjoyed the new development happening within the breeds which is keeping things new and interesting. The romance between Mica and Navarro is hot, and steamy and believable. It was good that there was a long history between them and not love at first sight. It gave the story substance as well as added to the intensity of the story. I can’t wait to read about the developments of the breeds as they continue to fight for peace and equality in the world. Things didn’t come easy for Navarro and Mica, true the passion and desire for each other was there since the beginning, that wasn’t what it was all about. It was about trusting each other and whether or not they would work as a couple being two head strong individuals. If they were really ready to lay everything on the line for the other. Overall I really enjoyed Navarro’s Promise . Adult readers interested in a hot, intense paranormal romance should give Navarro’s Promise a read. ...more

In The Arms of Stone Angels had me from the beginning of the story till the end. What worked for me within the story was the deep intensity and the serious issues brought up from the beginning. Besides the engaging story were the characters that had to navigate the crazy world they live in. Brenna was an interesting character to get to know and explore with the adventures she had to go through. She was very strong in dealing with the things that happened to her. If it were me I know it would have driven me crazy. I understood the choices she had to make even though they were hard ones. The story took unpredictable turns that lead me on a crazy journey with Brenna and White Bird. There wasn’t much romance between the two but the adventure and drama made up for it. The writing was smooth and lyrical and didn’t leave me confused with what was happening. The use of Native American myths was well done, flowing well with adventure and drama. I really enjoyed this book and feel that readers will too. ...more

Not only that his ex-wife wants to get him back so she poisoned him against you making him think that they were working on their marriage. Oh and while all of that’s happening you had to fight this crazy super villain set out to destroy you and create world destruction. Yea, that’s what Belle Jamison had to go through and more in this second book Twice as Hot. This book was a great read leaving me totally satisfied and wanting more (if that’s possible). I was on a crazy ride from beginning to end with all the things happening in this book. Being emotionally connected to Belle and Rome's relationship, wondering and hoping that Rome got his memory back. Showalter is an amazing writer and she delivered with this story. I loveed all the characters and how real she made them. The plot was wild and engaging and the romance scenes were Hot. Belle's voice is really strong and I liked how she grew as a person and an agent through out all the mess that was being thrown at her. Of course I can't forget about all the hot guys in this story that just made it sizzle (keep them coming Gena!!!). All around this book has everything romance, action, suspense and humor. Its one you defiantly want to read.

This is the second book in the Morganville Vampires series and it picks up right where the first left off with Clare, the main character getting into way more trouble. So this is a vampire book but not your typical romanticized vampires whose forever tormented but the monsters we've come to know in horror movies who think of humans as cattle. What's refreshing about the story is the power the vampires openly showcase and showing the ownership of the whole town while the humans living there are tip-toeing around trying to survive in the vampire run town and not the other way around. The story centers around it's characters who are very well developed and carries all the intrigue that the plots hold. In this installment Clare, who's going to the local university at the young age of sixteen, is fighting to save the lives of her friends, Michael, Eve and Shane when Shane's dad, a vampire hunter, comes to town with intentions of killing off as much vampires as he and his biker friends can. Leaving Clare to find a way to save them all from getting killed, a tall order to put on her shoulders but she has to find a way. What had me most intrigued was how many times Clare came close to dying, like every chapter, but managed to find a way to survive every time. Though author Rachel Caine does not spare her from getting banged up a lot which brought a realness to the story showing that bad things can happen and not every time somebody is there to save you from getting hurt. I think Rachel has drama down to a science and among it all managed to throw in romance between which is amazing!!

I'm totally in love with her Immortals After Dark Series!!! The suspense, the adventure, the romance...wow the romance! This story is a total pager turner, from start to finish. The characters are interesting and so believable and the plot and details made me feel like I was there going through everything. The pace was spot on, not too fast for me not to know what was going on but not too slow for me to get bored. We are introduced to Lucia the Archer who's on a quest to destroy a god when she meets Garreth, the werewolf who knew the instant he saw her that she was his mate, forever.
So begins the hunt to claim her as his own. There was so much spark between these two characters I was surprised the pages (and me) didn't catch fire!! I love how their both strong independent characters and they can still come together and make an awesome team. I love all the trials Lucia and Garret had to go through to be together, it made the story more believable. Though they struggled a lot to be together when they were they burned up the pages...Hot!! I loved how Cole woven an amazing adventure into the story as well, giving it so much depth and intrigue and bringing past characters into the story. All in all Kresely Cole is a wonderful writer and I totally recommend picking up all of her books because you will not be disappointed!!!!...more
