We watched Kellen & Kiera go through so god awful, painful times in Thoughtless and Effortless and come out the other side and find happiness together. Reckless picks right up as the band is edging into the big time and getting ready to tour. Now that Kiera has finished school she is planning to stand by her man and tour with the band. They of course have some issues but the thing I loved most about this one was I didn't feel like I was gonna lose my shit reading it!! Sometimes during the first two books I would find myself bawling so hard I had to put it down and walk away for a bit.
Reckless is not quite as heavy! That said there are of course tests and trials of Kellan and Kiera's love for each other, which couldn't be stronger btw, but there are also a ton of sweet and amazing moments!! My favorite being the rose petals as a sort of post it notes - every damn time I felt myself melt a little! Oh and the tattoo! They are just the sweetest effing couple I can't stand it!
“He needed more and more of me. He would always want me near him. I would always be first in his eyes. We were a good match. A perfect match. Soul mates.”
Kiera is no longer wishy washy which was one of my biggest issues with her early on in the series. She has really seemed to grow up emotionally. I also have to mention how much I loved the where the relationship between Kellen, Kiera and Denny has gone and how far they have all come! This is truly a story of true love, forgiveness, friendship and family!
“Our lives are crazy. When moments to remember happen, you have to pause a second to appreciate them. Otherwise none of this is worth it. And getting married to you is definitely a moment to remember." ~Kellan
I will end this by saying that if you loved the first two parts of this story I can guarantee you will absolutely love the way it ends. We are even blessed with a wonderfully beautiful epilogue so you can breath a beautiful sigh contentment when you finally read their last page! (less)

I am so glad I didn't put off reading this installment of the Consequences Series, as I originally intended. I wasn't sure I could take any more after the fucked up crazy state the first book left me in! I am not going to review this book because I tend to get diarrhea of the mouth when discussing my love for these books and there is too great a risk of me giving something away and you all should be left to ride the emotional roller coaster that is this series without any interference from me!!!
I will leave you with one thing -IF YOU HAVEN'T EXPERIENCED CONSEQUENCES AND TRUTH STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING AND GET THEM NOW!! LIKE I SAID BEFORE, IF YOU CAN HANDLE, AND EVEN ENJOY, A GREAT MIND FUCK THEN ONE IS WAITING FOR YOU RIGHT HERE!!(less)

I was SO WRONG! This book was so many things I don’t know where to start. One thing it is NOT is a love story. There is nothing fluffy or sweet about it, although at times you want to think maybe…but NO! I am going to review and I am going to try really hard not to give any spoilers, but I have to explain~
I LOVED THIS STORY! I HATED TONY – YES, LOVE AND HATE!! This story will evoke so many incredibly strong emotions in you that you will have no idea whether to be horrified, cry, scream or throw the book(I actually did this at one point) Seriously, I am not sure the last time my emotions were dragged all over by a book. I honestly hurt for Claire but understood most(definitely not all)of her actions.
There are times you will want to stop reading but I do believe that it virtually impossible! This story is so engaging and compelling; you can’t help it, even when you are horrified you have to soldier on.
The first thing I need to do is thank Ms Romig for writing a book I absolutely could not put down and was up until 1am finishing because I JUST HAD TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED NEXT!!
I have to start by saying I don’t think I have ever read a story where there was no hero, even an anti-hero will do but Anthony is NO hero of any kind! He is handsome and cruel, sadistic, manipulative and controlling. The beginning of the book finds Claire Nichols waking up in a strange bedroom, she is sore and scared from being beaten and kidnapped and she doesn’t remember much. But she does remember going to dinner with handsome Anthony Rawlings.
When Anthony returns to her he explains that they entered into a contract were he paid off all of her debt and he now owns her for as long as he sees fit to pay off her debt to him. Claire is terrified and soon learns that *actions have consequences* so she does her level best to follow Anthony's rules:
Do as your told, do not divulge personal information, actions have consequences, appearances are of vital importance and public failure is not an option
Claire is a prisoner and her capture is cruel and sadistic, but following the rules buys her freedoms and as the weeks and months go by they fall into a rhythm of sorts. Crazy right?! Oh, it gets crazier – think Stockholm Syndrome. Claire has compartmentalized enough that she has convinced herself that she can find happiness here, until one major misunderstanding causes Anthony to beat Claire almost to death!!
Oh yeah, you heard right! For days she is unconscious, broken and being fed through a tube while Tony sat at her bedside. When she woke and remembered what happened, she STILL followed his rules(Do not divulge personal information) and claimed an accident while in the woods where Anthony said he found her. So for the rest of the book the beating is referred to as “The Accident”!! – Wait, it gets better, once she has healed and Tony promises not to hurt her again, if she doesn’t give him cause to, they actually begin to fall for each other and eventually she marries him!! You heard me MARRIES HIM!!! HOLY CRAP, RIGHT?!!
Now, you may think you have this story figured out and it is just a sad story of a woman kidnapped who falls for her capture and they live a sick life filled with wealth and riches and domestic abuse!! But…you could not be farther from the truth of where this story is going to take you!!
I could seriously go on and on and on about this book but I will just finish by saying, if you can handle a some darkness in your stories you will love this crazy mind fuck of a ride! I promise!! (less)

Now really, James is the ultimate book boyfriend, in that I mean a bit too good to be true! We are talkin’ 6’5 hot, sexy, porn star who has given up the porn life for the love of his life Lola. He is an amazing lover, super in tune to what Lola needs and wants and is all about her pleasure before his own!! Oh, and did I forget to mention INCREDIBLY WELL endowed?? I know, I told ya right, total fantasy!! It does hurt that this is how I see him in my head, and he is even described as closely resembling my actual fantasy lover, Jason Momoa!!
This is how I picture the beautiful James Laird – giving Lola the ‘James Laird Sex Laser Beam’ [image error]
Ok, now the down and dirty, no pun intended, on this yummy book! Man of the Year is actually book 5 in this series and if you have not read the first 4, you absolutely have to before you read this one. This is not as daunting a task as you might think since the first three are fairly short novella’s. They simply introduce us to James and Lola and being us into their wonderful relationship. James and Lola have been best friends since they were children but NEVER more than friends. Though James is crazy protective and Lola measures every guy up to James. Of course nobody measures up for either of them. It is not until the 4th, and finally full length book that they finally realize they belong together.
Prior to this though, James has worked his way sexually through the female population sexually and now finds himself in the porn industry as the newest up and coming star. Don’t get me wrong, James could not be a sweeter guy, he is kind, sensitive and never cruel, - he simply loves women!! All the while Lola has remained a virgin and could never quite understand why she couldn’t find a man she loved as much as James!!
Well duh?? They belong together, that’s why!!
Now that you are up to speed, let’s talk about Man of the Year!! In this story we find James and Lola together and enjoying their new found relationship, having LOTS of sex of course! We find them on their way to the Adult Entertainment Awards where James is up for the Man of the Year award, this is the big one, along with many other awards. The reason this is such a big deal is that James is getting out of the biz and his porn family is sad to see him go. That is all right with James though because he wants nothing more than Lola, PERIOD!
She teases me sometimes for how cautious I and careful I am with her, but I can’t help it. How else are you supposed to make love to an angel?
In this book we find James thrilled about giving up this life to start his life with Lola, he can’t imagine having sex with anyone but Lola but Lola being new on a whole to sex can’t imagine why or how James would want to give up all of the crazy, kinky things to simply have ‘regular sex’ with her!
Maybe it’s vanilla sex, but I’ve found that vanilla sex can be more fun than crazy sex if the person you’re doing it with is someone you love. You make me love vanilla, baby. It’s my favorite flavor now
James loves Lola with all of his heart and soul and he has to make her understand and believe that she is everything to him!! In this girl’s opinion, he does a MAGNIFICENT job!!! (less)

I think I loved Jace as much as Brian and I didn't think anyone would measure up to Master Sinclair but sweet ass, adorable, broken Jace grabbed my heart and didn't let go!! This is all to say nothing of Aggie, who I loved just as much. Very rarely do I love Heroine as much as the Hero but this is one of those rare times!!
I have been a hard core Sinners fan girl since we first met them and I can guarantee I will continue to be one long after I have every one of the books gracing my keeper shelf(waiting for re-reads)!!

Just kidding, tho...moreI LOVE KRISTEN ASHLEY!!! I LOVE HER, I LOVE HER, I LOVE HER!!!
Callum is the King of Werewolves, Big, Bad, HOT, Sexy ALPHA!! The End!!
Just kidding, though it could be and that would be enough for you to pick this book up! :) - Seriously though, this is the second book in The Three series and it was oh so good!
Again, Callum is the King of Werewolves and has known about his mate since she was a child. The kicker is she is HUMAN! When she is just a little girl, she protects Cal from some hunters the night her parents are killed. Sonia, sorry, forgot to mention her name, now Sonia has a few abilities of her own but has always been told to hide them carefully. She knows nothing of Cal or the wolves or any of this business and simpley goes on about her life, albeit her somewhat lonely life.
The night Cal comes to her and takes her away to claim her did not go as planned. Her life was threatened and he was forced to proceed. He has never been crazy about having a human mate and let me tell you their long road to learning how to deal with each other had so many bumps even I was really starting to feel for them. As I said Cal is soooo Alpha that he even got on my nerves on occasion by not taking into account how much Sonia DID NOT know about his people, his culture or anything! But he is, like all KA's Alphas so sweet and amazing under all that rough that you just melt like a puddle of goo and all is forgiven! You know what I mean girls!!
“I loved you before you took your first breath on this earth because that was my fate but you made me love you because you’re just… fucking… you.”
Seriously...like you could resist that??!
Of course, as KA always does, she runs our emotions through the ringer(have I mentioned I love her)and when I finish one of her books I for one am thoroughly satisfied!!
This series is a three book series, for anyone who doesn't know, so please don't read this one until you have read Until The Sun Falls From The Sky as it is book one and (yay) we get to visit with Lucien and Leah a little towards the end of this book :) I can't wait for book three to see exactly how this series will conclude. Because in this book as well as the first, even if you think you have it all figured out KA throws a few curve balls in there every now and then!!
You know I LOVE HER, right??
Enjoy y'all - I will leave you with this gorgeous pic of Queen Sophie and her Wolf!! (less)

So really all I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you E for the 'little nudge' to read this ASAP!! hahaha
I need to go on record saying this book is NOT what you think it is! It is not a love story, well ok, it sort of is but first and foremost it is a beautiful story of self-discovery! It is a story of how we are not what we are born in to, we are and can be SO MUCH MORE!!
The love story part is wonderful and our hero Ian Aberdeen is most definitely swoon worthy, but it was our heroine, Sophie Price that was really the amazing character in this story, IMHO! This blurb in the synopsis is what originally grabbed my attention...
If you’re looking for a story about a good, humble girl, who’s been hurt by someone she thought she could trust, only to find out she’s not as vulnerable as she thought she was and discovers an empowering side of herself that falls in love with the guy who helps her find that self, blah, blah, blah...then you’re gonna’ hate my story.
...because I seriously love a story that is a bit out of the norm. Though to clarify, it isn't the story that is different it is the characters. It was so wonderful to see Sophie, who was truly an AWFUL person in the beginning, grow into someone I loved.
I do have one, ok maybe a couple things I need to whine about a little. One, I think we needed a little more background on Sophie, there was reference to someone who died recently that really ramped up her bitterness and bad behavior in the beginning but we never really learned much about that and Ian seemed to have a past we never really got to know anything about either. Also, I would have liked the end to be a little more in depth. I wanted a little more drama when Ian came to America to get Sophie, it just seemed like, wham bam, he's there, he helps her out and they are all good! Don't get me wrong I ABSOLUTELY LOVED this story, I am just selfishly asking for a little more. :)
I promised myself that I would be a little more rigid with my 5 star ratings in 2013 and only gift those books that I loved so much I thought about for days after reading with them. This book TOTALLY falls into that category!!
If you haven't read this book! GO NOW AND GET A COPY!!! I promise, you don't be disappointed!!

This is the perfect example of NEVER judge a book by its cover!! So when I received a copy of this book from the publisher for an honest review I actually took a look at the synopsis. It sounded really interesting and WOW was I glad I gave it a shot!
Most of the science/physics talk went right over this girls head but all in all this book wasn’t about that, it was all about that one true love, your soul mate that exists in any universe, over and over in all of our lives. In each universe the players are the same they just may have different roles and if we are lucky we find each other!
This book was a little quirky and definitely won’t be for everyone, but I for one really enjoyed it. When we meet Tessa she is a little scattered, struggling artist, divorced from her husband and trying to get some order into her life. She runs into Brian Tennyson, who she believes is a homeless vagrant and he immediately throws his arms around her hugging her and calling her by name! Understandably she is a bit confused and a little freaked, but it gets crazier when he tells her that he is her husband in another universe and is only her visiting for 5 days 4 hours and 22 minutes, oh and he needs a place to stay!!
Tessa thinks that Brian is basically a crazy stalker, since he seems to be everywhere that she is even though she continually tells him to get lost and runs away from him. I know that this all seems silly and there really is a silly Big Bang Theory element to this book but it is, for all intents and purposes about the ultimate true love and the lengths we would go to find and keep it.
“What really matters is the non-physical, non-quantifiable thing, the feeling that when you’re with her, you’re more alive than you ever imagined possible. Even when it hurts. Even when she’s gone."
I am not going to give too much away with this review, just that this book made me laugh and cry and did not end the way I expected. It was different, quirky and fun to read and these days when so many books can really fall into the predictable category being pleasantly surprised is refreshing!
“You’re not the Tessa Barnum I married, but you’re a perfect flowering of the Tessa Barnum seed that was planted and bloomed in this world.”
I loved Brian & Tessa and I am thankful that I got to spend this little bit of time with them in my world!
