Love - Love Love Love! This book was a fantastic star t to a new series. The book had everything inside it. There was love, hate, war, gods, magic, conflict, everything! And it was so well balanced. You often times find that once authors get to a certain stage their writing begins to trail off but that isn't the case with Ms. Frank. I feel like each book of hers I read is stronger and stronger. Which is very impressive.
She has a writing style that eases you in and gives you a lot of greatness. Her book is very much a page turner.
Dethan is an easy to like kind of alpha male. There wasn't really any characteristics about him that turned me off. Sometimes these 'alpha males' get too big for themselves or too demanding and too controlling but not him.
I enjoyed how he and Selinda got along and I really enjoyed what they did to save her from the man she was betrothed to.
I was very happy that I had the second book to read right off the bat. When this one ended I was like "Whew thank god I can start book two."
This will keep you entertained, make you feel good and give you another series to sit back and wait for in 2015....more

So I have seemed to skip a few books in this series. I read the first book back in October. That made me nervous that A-a lot had happened I missed and B-I may not remember a lot of the story.
Well good news, that was not the case at all!
I easily fell back into this story. It was like months hadn't passed since I picked up the first book. I started this book Monday on my way to work listening to it. And as the week went on, listening to it in the car no longer enough for me. So Friday at 10pm, I had 30% left in the book I sat down and finished it in an hour. I flew through these pages.
The 'mystery' element has gotten better. I remember the first book didn't contain a lot of mystery. This one had me guessing a little bit and I enjoyed that.
Ms. Brown is slowly becoming a favorite author of mine. Thanks for the chance to read your novels!
I have come to really enjoy Kate's writings. There is something about how she lays a story out that makes it very easy to follow and a joy to read.

Often times in erotica you find that the plot and story itself are lacking. I am really glad that Ms. Deveaux's stories don't fit that bill. You have easy characters to like and feel for. The plot had a few surprises that I didn't see coming, which is always nice when you are reading a book.
Now, there were a bit of unbelievable parts to this story line, but that didn't bother me very much. I read to get away from reality right? So it doesn't all have to be 100% believable for me to enjoy it.
But I did have a 'OMG WTF' moment twice in the book, and honestly, I love when authors make me have those moments. Because it means I am really into the story and bamm something unexpected happened.
I wasn't a total fan of 'Laura's' in the book. Granted she was just a side character, I wished she would have supported Chloe more than she did, without the need to question each movement Chloe made.
I never was impressed with Conner. So I am glad the 'hunk from Texas' showed up lol.
All in all I give this a 4.5 Stars. It was easy, light and a nice read on a Friday night....more

I love these characters and I am anxiously awaiting the day when we get to see Madison walk down the isle with her man. PLEASE be book 11!!!
The story this time around I felt took a different twist because it seemed like the drama was more personal. However it can be argued that it is always personal with Madison.
I loved this ending most of all I think. And after 10 books some author's need to retire the series ... with Deborah Brown that is the exact opposite of what needs to happen. She needs to write us MORE Paradise books!
5 Stars as always for Hurricane in Paradise. By Deborah Brown ...more

I read this one in just a few hours, I really couldn't put it down. This mystery series keeps you turning the pages wanting more. And the dynamic of the two main characters really makes you believe their story.
I love how each of their paths intertwine and how they make the job work in their favor. They don't let obstacles pull them down which is great.
I can't wait to read book three and I hope it is just as great!
How do I even try to begin this review .... I guess at the beginning! haha.

Bishop's SCU is my second favorite series. Not putting this one down at all!! I just have followed the other one a few years longer. I look forward to each and every book that comes out with their next adventures. What I love about Ms. Hooper's world is how she continues to bring each of her characters back into the fold with the novel. I love how she doesn't forget about people. Some series that have the same characters never touch on anyone other than the main characters as if they no longer exist. That trait of Ms. Hooper's is probably one of my favorite things about her.
Another favorite is how vivid she paints the pictures and how easily it is for me to close my eyes, listen to my text-to-speech on my kindle and actually see her stories playing out in my head. It keeps me so entertained!
I loved this story line and ** SPOILER** WOW. Honestly I had NO idea he would ever show back up and I just loved how she did that!!!
Let me tell you what I loved most about this book ... the relationship with the FBI agent partners and how they use each other for lifelines. You can feel the connections with one another with out having to have all the romantic aspects of it. I love that. And while I know her novels are 'out there' in the realm of 'really happen in real life' I find her characters relationships way more believable than others.
Overall this is a 5 star book because A - she kept me chomping at the bits for the next scene and B - it's Kay Hooper ... when does she NOT write a 5 star book?...more

Wow. That is really what I have to say about this book. It was absolutely nothing like I expected it to be. And I really cannot say it enough how much I enjoyed it.
I tend to scan the blurbs and focus more on the cover and title when I look at books before I select them to read. That is what I did this time. The name caught my attention and I thought, what the hell, lets give it a try. And I am so glad I did.
I cannot say enough good things about this book. I honestly thought it was going to be a science fiction erotica based on the cover and title but that wasn't the case at all.
And the use of were-bears was unique and fresh. Beau and Jen had a great story, and there were not a whole lot of predictable moments, which as a reader I liked.
It is a time in the future where we can essentially jump through space and time and end up in otherworlds that are existing at the same time our Earth is. A lot of deadly, scary and unpleasant worlds.
And at the end its a fight to save man kind from the vicious were-bears. Creatures who would rip us apart and feast on our flesh, or convert us and employ us to kill our breatheren.
Ella-Nessa is a great character, and the twins do a remarkable job of having distincly different personalities. Which is hard sometimes as an author to give very unique voices to such alike beings.
This book was long, and a few parts of it felt like it drug out but I understood that was needed to get past the points where they were and futher the story.
It was an easy read, I mean, I ddin't have to put forth a lot of effort to understand and enjoy. Even though it wasn't the easiest of subjects to write about.
Overall, this book is a 5 star winner because I have to say, it kept me on the edge of my seat!!! ...more
