I found it at our local library, and even at that young age I adored Jane Austen, especially Pride and Prejudice.
'The Secrets Of Love' is a quirky modern take on Jane Austen's Sense & Sensibility but with added humor. If you do,indeed, love Jane Austen as much as I do, you should give this book a go. I was rather surprised when I saw this book was not on any Jane Austen related lists, ergo why not alot of people know about it.

E.L Todd gave me an advanced reading of the first book in her new series 'Forever and Always.' and I must say, I was not disappointed.
Once I began reading Only For You I could not put my laptop down. (I'd be lying if I said my laptop didn't follow me everywhere...and I mean EVERYWHERE.) It took me 2-4 hours read this book due to my 'no putting the laptop down rule.' The friends-to-lovers story of Scarlett and Sean is realistic and relatable. Scarlett and Sean have a relationship that I want. They're best of friends, the kind of friendship where they could be themselves. Scar and Sean were there for each other for every break up and heartbreak, They have seen each other at the worst and best. However, This all goes down hill, When Sean, devastated after being dumped by his Girlfriend, Penelope, and very drunk-Scar and Sean have sex.
Complications in sue, with Scar and Sean misunderstanding one another after the night of mind blowing sex, the breakdown of Scar's career and her return to her brother, Ryan, in Seattle.
I have to say, I LOVED the relationship between Ryan and Scar. It's so well written and it adds to a family element to the book which you can't help but love. I couldn't help but thinking of the quotation from Lilo and Stich: ''Ohana means family, family means nobody gets left behind.'' in regards to Ryan and Scar who no matter what happens have one another's backs.
There a very sweet love triangle begins. Ryan's best friend, Courtland and Scar have a affair. I find, That by having Scarlett sleep with another man besides from Sean made her so much more realistic. It fits with today's modern outlook on sex which was awesome to see. (By the By, It's not cheating, Sean and Scar were never together as anything but friends besides the night of mind blowing sex that was not meant to happen.)
I am trying so hard not to spoil the living daylights out of this book but it is sooooo hard. So, we come to the conclusion. I really enjoyed this book, and I look forward to more books in the series.
This book is a breath of fresh air-so different from many of the books being published lately. If you are sick of sappy romance that is over dramatized-LOOK NO FURTHER, WE HAVE FOUND THE AUTHOR FOR YOU!!
E.L, Well Fucking done! I adore it. Looking forward to more from you.

Hades can do no wrong for me. I mean...HE IS HADES-ULTIMATE BAD BOY! But he shows such a soft side to Persephone that I wanted to cuddle the hell out of him. I really loved his reaction to when she left and what he did for the moments or hours she was away which made me love him more.
Persephone is everything that she represents: Purity, hope and light. Though I liked Persephone, I would have LOVED if she had more backbone and had more of a 'fuck you' attitude and be able to put Hades in his place, which from what I have read concerning Hades and Persephone, she did.
This was a short, but enjoyable read and has made me want to explore other author's visions of Hades and Persephone's tale.(less)

Out of all the Greek myths, the tale of Hades and Persephone has always been my favorite-I obviously have a thing for bad boys aka HADES.
'For the Love of Hades' has an interesting twist to the original tale...While, there are themes of the original in this version, alot of it is changed, which does not lesson the quality of this book.
The trouble with writing novels etc on already written stories is that EVERYONE has different visions/versions of how the story is meant to be. Including myself. If I had written this book, it would have turned out COMPLETELY different compared to Sasha Summers version. Hades and Persephone's tale is one of the thousands of stories that has different variations and twists to it which is followed or not followed by the 'followers' of the writers etc.
I went through this book so fast-NO SKIMMING INVOLVED-and really enjoyed it because of how different it is to the usual Hades and Persephone retellings.
Having said that, I didn't feel as if Persephone developed as a character-all she did was fall in love and experience a few harsh realities. I didn't feel as if she grew as a character and I do wish she had a bit more backbone. In Greek mythology, Persephone is seen as a soft and sheltered spirit but she does grow into her own person, She doesn't just become a consort to the King of the underworld and mother of his children-she becomes THE QUEEN of the mofoing underworld. In mythology, Persephone is very strong willed, logical and doesn't Bullshit anyone. She is portrayed as a strong woman-and in 'For the love of Hades' she is very much portrayed as a 'girl that needs to be protected, sheltered and seen as an object of pure innocence.' That just didn't agree with me and I found this version of Persephone-though some aspects I liked-very meek and unassuming. Hades(I love him so much it consumes me), did have fantastic character development. Not only does he become a hero of sorts but he becomes more respected and has a more humane strike added to him. By the end of the book, the image of Hades as cold and unfeeling is utterly changed.
No matter my complaints about some aspects of the book, it was really enjoyable-and one of the better written retelling. I would recommend this to a person who isn't looking for the typical or the norm Hades/Persephone tales.
Edit: My followers know that I sometimes do 'castings' of the main characters in books etc-and Though I have an idea for who, if this was ever made into a movie, would play Persephone-It's not the Persephone of THIS book. It's more like the Persephone in my head rather than the retellings. The Persephone of my inner workers is Emilie De Ravin or (SUPER MAYBE)Even Rachael Woods.
I can never cast Hades-and If you care to or just want to share some ideas-tell me who YOU would cast as Hades or Persephone.
For THIS version of Persephone, I would cast:
and for Hades...NO IDEA. If you have any ideas please put them below.(less)

Kresley Cole never ceases to be amazing!(note: as of yet: 23/09/13 I have not read any of her YA books, which have got good and bad reviews.)
I actually love this book, I thought it was quite different to any other books in this series...Having said that, This is not my favorite book of the Series but is definitely in the top 5. This book is more...Emotional based than action based but we do have our wee bit of action.
When I say it was different from the other books of the series, I mean, How Kresley deals with the theme of (view spoiler)[child molestation of Will Macrieve (hide spoiler)], which is a REALLY hard subject to write about as well as read about--Kresley, in my opinion, NAILED THIS. She delved into the characters, heart and mind, showing how many victims of this circumstance must feel. That ALONE got her an A++ from me.
The Characters. [BEWARE THERE BE SPOILERS HERE}
Uilleam MacRieve aka Will is everything you expected a MacRieve to be...Tall, dark, sexy as hell, Lykae, tortured and brooding-HOW COULD YOU NOT LUST AFTER HIM? Uilleam is a damaged and possessive ass-Which, of course, I liked.
However, behind all his smoldering looks and mysterious air-he is, in fact, extremely tortured by his past for which he feels shame and guilt over(and which never seems to stop coming back to hunt him). REMINDING YOU FOR THE LAST TIME--SPOILERS BE HERE!
I did not expect the depth of his angst. But hell, he has fucking HUGE reason to be angsty as hell! This physically aggrieves me to write this because I care so much about Will and I(even though he hates it) pity and sympathizes with him so god damned much it kills me. Will was molested by SUCCUBUS for FOUR years when he was 9-12 years old. Basically, He has every right to be brooding and angry all the time. But ultimately over comes with the help of his fated Mate-Chloe.I had a love/hate relationship with Will as he could be a COMPLETE AND UTTER DICK and then go back to being just *le sigh* perfect.
NOTE: The Lykae are my goddamned babies! I love them all, Ever since I picked up A Hunger Like No Other-The MacRieve's have a special place in my heart(Especially You, Lachlain *wink-Wink*)
Chloe Webb(YES, THAT Webb) is actually fucking epic! She is so different from what you usually see as a romance Heroine. She is deifies expectations-Mine and Will's-and is just simply BAD ASS-Will(though he can be so stupid at times) and Chloe were perfect for each other. I don't think Kresley could have written a more fitting mate for Will. Chloe has looks, strength, wit and spunk to keep everyone entertained-especially when she gets down and dirty with HER MacRieve.
Obviously-When Kresley mentioned on facebook or where ever that a ENTIRELY new Loren-who had never been mentioned before was to surface in this book-I immediately thought MERMAIDs but alas I was wrong but never disappointed and I enjoyed Kresley's ideas about this species (view spoiler)[ Chloe is a Succubus-mind you she is a VIRGIN succubus (hide spoiler)] and it was really fun and interesting to learn about this different type from what we in the 'normal' world know them as. Also, Will's reaction's to it. I mean,
Will and Chloe I just...So adorable. I mean, when they first meet is so exciting and romantic- Chloe takes it in her stride while Will, kinda runs around like a headless chicken for awhile-as he has never really HAD to do this whole 'romance thing'. I loved they way they talk to one another and seemed to have each other's backs 100%. Again, I can not say how perfect they are together and how they really do make each other whole.
Okay, Time for Erin's freak out time
ERMERGERD! ERMERGERD!! THAT CLIFFHANGER!
HOLY SHIT, HOLY SHIT!!! I NEED IT! I NEED IT NOW!!!! Munro!! Oh my sweet, sweet Munro!! I need this book like yesterday! I want The MacRieve Clan to bust in there before MAJOR SHIZNIT CAN HIT THE FAN! OH PLEASEEEEEEEEE.
FREAK OUT OVER
Anyhow, I am obviously quite excited about the next MacRieve book.
But I fear how long it will take for the Munro's story to come out-as I expected Furie and Kristoff's story to be this one.
Books by Kresley that I need, like I need air is Munro's and Nix's. I already got my Lothaire, so That is sorted but I know there are more characters that I would like to read about as well.
I also really like how the last two books had Virgin heroines-which are my favorite type of heroines. I have no clue why, I just like them that way-I guess, I like the one and only thing :/ I hope, Kresley writes more Virgin heroines and hero's.
This is a serious question here: Would anyone be surprised if NIX was a virgin? We never really know anything about her past loves etc. So, I'm just guessing here :P (Don't judge me)
ANYWAY, If I were to cast the main characters: Once again, I can never find a casting for the hero but almost always for the Heroine. Keira Knightley~Chloe Webb(MacRieve) While reading MacRieve-all I could think of as Chloe was Keira in Bend It Like Beckham:
