Georgina is the bomb, One of my favourite Heroines of all time. For me she had no weaknesses in character and she knew who she was-which i think is important in a character. I seriously wished this book was much longer and had its own series- where we could see their daily lives together- I think others would find that boring but i would love it! Beautiful story full of Romance, Action And Of course, comady. This Was the first Malory Novel i ever read- in fact-i think it was the first Johanna Lindsey book i had ever read. James made my day with his quirky comments and scarcastic humour. George's innocence and humor--Johanna Lindsey out did herself....more
Probably one of the first romance novels I have read-and obvously enjoyed.
I have read this book more than once...More than twice--this could go on forProbably one of the first romance novels I have read-and obvously enjoyed.
I have read this book more than once...More than twice--this could go on forever, How bout I just say i've read this book a lot and lot of times.
Johanna Lindsey, as per usual, is awesome. She has a way of makeing the reader feel apart of the story, which just makes it an even better. The characters are real and relateable-the book is character driven and always focused on the romance and never starying to far from the main point of the novel--and the cover? I adored it--I mean Jessie, in an almost see through chemise and Chase(who is NUDE, by the way) making out on the beach, What more could i ask for??
The Heroine At the beginning of the book, Jessie Blair's Father is givng a brutal beating his wife for cheating on him, something she didnt do, but manages to survive-with the baby she is carrying still alive.(this event leaves everyone with scars-and not visable ones.)
Jessie, whom is already alive and well, is lefted with her father-who denys her of her femininity-thus giving her boy clothes and teaching her to hate her mother-- so she is quite peeved when her mother comes home to be her gurdian since her father passed.Jessie in many cases is quite imature and has a real agusty teenager feel.
In Jessie's Mind she is a man-and resents that in fact she isnt-she dosent see why she can't have lovers like men do(view spoiler)[she says this to Chase after making love, losing her virtue. Chase denys that saying there is a difference--Jessie is also determind-in the love scene, He trys to stop when he reaches her maidenhead, apologising and trying to pull away-when Jessie, not even listening, thrusts up there for losing her virginity. I hate how no one even took the time to tell her that the first time would hurt and she when it does she is shocked--just another scar on not having a mother and having a father who denys your sex. (hide spoiler)] She grows up alittle bit- learning how to be the woman she always secretly wanted to be, and learning to love.
The Hero Chase Summers...Chase chase chase chase chase....I love you... Chase is just hot, okay? He is strong and honerable-he really trys to resist Jessie- but fails to(obviously). Chase, is looking for his father, who he has never met, but takes time off when Rachael, Jessies Mother, an old time friend asks for help at her Ex husbands ranch. Tall dark and handsome-Chase is all these things and more--and if he was real world have me drooling after him :P
Romance The Love scenes were steamy, and incredably romantic-Like i said Johanna Lindsey never strays from the romance and that is why she is one of my favourite authors. The force is strong with this one :P The sexual tension is electric-- I Love Jessie and Chases arguements and how they seem so perfect for one another. Im not gonna spill any more about the romance cause thats what the books main point is--Just go buy and read this book NOW!

She lovThis was my mom's favorite book- and since i was little she has always preached to me about how much i would love it and why it was brilliant. She loved it so much that by the time it got into my hands, it was worn and tattered-broken in half and pages taped in and taped back together-which made it a difficult read. I found this to be true-this was my second Kathleen E.Woodiwiss novel-My first being The Flame and the Flower-which i loved, so i decided to tackle this 672 paged book-the largest amount of pages I had read at the time. It did become one of my favorite books. I loved Ruark (the hero) and couldn't understand why he feel in love with Shanna When he could have been with me at the beginning-with her being a spoiled brat only thinking about herself- but he knew she could changed and loved her for her good aspects instead of the bad-I liked how he could forgive so easily even with all the pain she puts him through-but he won't give up. This book to me was written as if it was meant to be formed in Poetry--I love the dialogue ad have doggy eared my favorite pages. I felt myself grow with Shanna-because at the beginning all i could describe her as was, selfish, naive, childish. But she grew-and everyone noticed-including her father who was well aware of her faults and didnt put them aside like Ruark did. Shanna grew to be a woman-mature, grown up and Radiant -having been strong-willed the whole time-nothing much changed there. She became more accepting and loving to Ruark who always deserved her love. The Love scenes are intense-the dialogue beautiful. I will forever love this book. OH! and Goodreads--WHY YOU NO HAVE ThIS COVER!!
Thats my cover--Does anyone else have that version? I think my mom bought in in South Africa when it first came out-It is a first addition. I like this cover a lot-but i do Lover the other covers aswell. Kathleen E. Woodiwiss You Are EPIC! 5 STARS!!...more

Altogether a good book. The story was entertaining, The plot twists were well done and placed-Shirlee Busbee had me guessing who was behind the mystery and making me point fingers at some of the characters. The conculsion was unexpected and well done.
But even with its captivating plot-line-I felt it lagged at times.
Otherwise good novel, time consuming and worth a read....more

Question: Did the hero cheat or not? he would have cheated that time at camp when the heroine dressed as a serf and learned to do a 'dance'-to please him-and he was more then willing to sleep with her then-even though he didn't know it was his WIFE at the time. Then she runs away cause she knows he thinks she is someone else and dosent like the idea of his cheating even when it's with her. SOOOOOO, Later on in the story fidelity issues pop up and I have no clue if he cheated on her or not--Not with Amicia-obviously not with her but with someone else? ...more

I Loved all Holly's quirks and Having OCD myself it was actually cool to see a Heroine with it to-Another fantastic novel by the amazing Kresley Cole! I Loved all Holly's quirks and Having OCD myself it was actually cool to see a Heroine with it to--with a incrediablly sexy demon who actually tolerates her OCD- This is bad...i actually have fetish of sorts for Demons, Vampires and Lykae...This is not good...Lachlain, Of course will always be my Number one...Lothaire, second...Cadeon, 3rd and Conrad forth. I would totally hang out with Cadeon and Holly- invite them over- watch tv, play video games- stalk hot guys, much to Cadeon's disapprovel. But Seriously-I loved the match up of them- its to cute for words. I loved how Cadeon would also try and make the OCD easier to handle-hell no body does that for me--but i thought it was sweet how he watched over her for so long-- that he just knows her every quirk and how hard it can be. I truly believed Cadeon was a softy at heart and wasn't afraid to show that he cared.
Kresley Cole basically Rocks my socks with each book. Great Great book-- 4 stars!

I've heard bad things about the Heroine,Annalía Llorente, and i can see why--AT THE BEGINNING. Most complain she was 'self absorbed' and 'high and mighty' and i can say yes, she was, at the beginning-yet she (at the beginning, showed compassion toward her higlander guest, when she finds him injured beside a river, she carry's him with the help of her trusty sted aka a small pony Ilamba(Correct me if the spellings wrong). She GROWS as a human being and some of the reviewers seemed to hold grudges against her like 'she kept running away' (which she had reason to, a man had taken her away from Pascel's home, therefore taking her chance at SAVING her brother away- she was worried that Pascel had already murdered her brother because she was taken away- unaware that Pascel would most likely Kill her brother anyway.) First of all, she kinda had a reason for being 'high and mighty' because she is sort of related to a royal and been treated well and with many riches her whole life-even under the iron tumb of her disappointed father, which, yeah, is no excuse, but all the same. But being with the sexy Highlander, Courtland MacCarrick changes her and she loses her high handedness. He actually TEACHES her how to ask for things which he ultimitley regreats upon finding he can't deny her anything-except bedding her :P.
I think When she stops being like she had IS really an entertaining heroine and i actually liked her. She has her own past with her family and the rumours (which she believes-because he father said to her they where true and she was just like her mother) about her mother having many lovers and leaving her for passion.
The relationship between the hero and heroine is actually really sweet and sizzling hot, Courtland was just a little bit of what Lachlain From A Hunger Like No other with the possessiveness he feels for Annalía. Being a fan of possessive male leads, i couldn't help but love him. He was a gem and in mind extremely hot. He is selfish yet unselfish-caring only for Annalía and not wanting to hurt her but feeling unable to let her go, cause if he did he would die type of thing. I think its really sweet to watch them change from who they were to who they are at the ending of the book. We get an introduction to Courtlands's Eldest and younger brothers, Evan and Hugh, which are in the following two books. I actually can not wait to read the next ones and become better eqated with the other to MacCarrick brothers. Another Great Book by Kresley Cole. ...more

What a fantastic way to finish off tI-AM-IN--LOVE....i just finished this book and I'm breathless...I Loved this book so damn much its un believable! What a fantastic way to finish off the series. In my opinion, Its Better then the first and second in this series.
The Heroine Madeleine van Rowen is simply badass! Being throw into destitution, with her god-awful and simply conniving Mother, Sylive. At a young age, Maddy was alone and hungry, had no one to to take care of her until, Corrine, took her and cared for her once her mother died of cholera which took France by storm- and luckily didn't kill Maddy. I think out of all the MacCarrick 'Women', Maddy is the most realistic, she dosent take any shit(pardon the french :P), She is small yet brave and intelligent. I Loved her no nonsense attitude and how she looks past Ethan's Scared face. She has seen so much at the age of twenty one, Ethan's even shocked by it. There is actually so much to say about the character of Maddy that it would probably take up the entire review. Simply Put, she is tough for such a small girl. Her story is heartbreaking-at least for me.
The Hero Ethan MacCarrick...DAMN! This boy learns sooooo much! After Being Tortured and permanently scarred (aka that shits not even gonna fade a little bit) by none other then MADDY@S PARENTS! We finally learn how Ethan had gotten his scar.(view spoiler)[ When Ethan was a was twenty two, after a night of drinking, was invited to a Woman named Sylive house, to have sex. Ethan has a bad feeling about her and decides to leave- Sylive begins crying and saying she'll kill him for this. With all her screaming and yelling,HER HUSBAND, Van Rowen(Maddys Father) barges in. Sylive, to save her own ass, says he tried to rape her, So, Ethan is brought out to the stable after being beaten by Sylives husband and his henchmen, and further tortured by his Henchmen-this brings on the Scar. Von Rowen finds the note that had slipped from Ethans pocket which gave him directions to The Van Rowen residents, and the cut him lose. Ethan vows revenge, which he does therefore,(Unintentionally) ruining young maddys life. (hide spoiler)] Ethan is even colder, then he was before he received the scar and has become celibate after getting sick of paying for sex, and womans disgusted looks. When he sees Maddy, its obvious to the reader He is already in love with her at first glance. Lots of reviewers have said they didnt like him in the previous books or in the beginning of this one, and i Have to agree. He is course , rude and Harsh- BUT by the end of the book he has seen the error of his ways and has realized his love for Maddy. Yet problems still arise, when he refrains from telling Maddy how her ruined her life, forcing her into poverty, with her Evil Bitch of a Mother. He learns, and i love that he can change so much just for Maddy. It's seriously sweet.
The Romance In One word: Beautiful In More: Sweet, delicate, heartwarming, sexy, smart, witty. 'Tis just awesome. Ethan needs her-that is it- without her, he is nothing. Maddy, I dont think she psychically needs him, but i don't think she could really be happy without him. If Maddy Had lefted Ethan, i don't think he would have recovered, I can actually see him, wasting away , drinking his life away(not that his brothers would let him). Maddy would have been Miserable and alone again and i dont think she would be to keen on that either. Basically, They belong together and like Ethan thought- They are alike. I wouldn't have believed if Ethan had gotten with anyone else but Maddy. They just fit, and stick like glue.
The Ending (view spoiler)[Adorable! We see how the MacCarrick Clan are 9 years later. We Join the Family for Maddy's and Ethan's son Neill's christening . They have had three children since last. Their First son, Leith(after Ethans father.)Age Seven. A daughter, Catriona, Age Three. And The Newly born Little boy, Neill. Ethan can't believe his luck and couldn't be happier, And is proud of his children. Maddy is the same, and they are both still deeply in love. Maddy says she can forgive her mother for all the wrong she did to her but not what she did to Ethan. Courtland and Annalía, are still very much and love and obviously can't get enough of one and other because they have three children, their first born a son,Aleix, their daughters Fiona and toddler Elisabet, and another one on the way. Courtland swears that each time after they have a child, that it will be the last(after all the fright it gave him the first time) but Annalía knows better and starts kniting baby clothes. Jane And Hugh have kept child bareing to a Minimum , having only One child, A four year old son, surprisingly named Ethan after his uncle. The proud parents insist they are 'waiting' for another while to have another. All in all- The MacCarrick Clan are all happy- and are living the life. Ethan says, If i could give you anything you wanted what would it be. And she says 'thats easy, a lifetime of this'. He vows it. and Ethan does. (hide spoiler)]
My Favourite Books in the series besides from 'If You Dare'. I didnt enjoy 'If you desire' as much as these to but i prefured its cover. Loved this Series and can not wait for more from the Fantastic, Kresley Cole.

BeI really enjoyed this book, aswell as the historical facts. The romance was beautiful and i seriously Loved the match up of Christopher and Beatrix. Beatrix is an animal lover, so has many- a hedgehog, a mule, goats, sheep, you name it! Chris is haunted by the past, his life at war and death. He is changed from what he used to be. The boy of a year back had disappered and turned him into someone who was alone, dark, and hurt. Beatrix brings him alive with her love letters, she writes as her friend Prudence, who he had written to in the first place. A deep love begins to form. The scene were Chris confronts Beatrix about her being the writer is beautiful and my favourite bit of this book. I pictured Sean Bean from Sharpe:
and basically pictured myself as Beatrix..Obviously...I want to be kissed by Sean Bean, Okay? He was totally hot in 'Sharpe'. This is my First book by Lisa Kleypas and i'll probably read more. Why 3 stars? I didn't connect with this story as much as I thought i would, But it was still an enjoyable read. GREAT story though and throughly enjoyable....more

It was a well done rendition of Shakespere's The Taming Of The Shrew. We meet Ophelia and Rafe in the first book in this series 'The Heir'-Ophelia was the 'Villian' of that book. But in this one we learn that Ophelia was trying to help in her own weird way-She didn't understand the way she went about things was wrong-and I honestly think that people have at least made ONE of the mistakes Ophelia has. She isn't a perfect heroine-and That's why I liked her. She may have the face of an angel but she is really temperamental-Like me sadly. I always find myself comparing myself to Characters-I compare myself to the Shrew in The Taming of the Shrew before she is Tamed as well as Martha in 'Who's afraid of Virgina Woolf'-Not very good outlooks on my self-My mom says I'm like the Shrew though -.-(thanks mom) ANYWAY, I would cast Marilyn Monroe as Ophelia because(I do this for the shits n' giggles) she could portray a sense of vulnerability in her beauty. ...more
