Emmaline Troy is an Innocent Half Vampire, Half Valkyrie who is suddenly made Lachlain MacRieve, a Lykae's fated Mate.
Lachlain MacRieve is the king of all Lykae and he has been tortured for decades by vampires, his clan’s greatest enemy. When he catches the scent of his destined mate, he does everything in his power to be freed from his imprisonment-he breaks the chains that have kept him imprisoned for 150 years and goes after her. However, He does not go away unscathed-He escapes with 150 years of Mental anguish and loses a limb-which with time, will be regenerated. When he finds her,he is disgusted and furious to find out that-the woman, his fated mate, that he had been waiting for, for almost a thousand years is a vampire. Even though Lachlain despises what she is-His instinct-which knows that this is the only woman who would ever make him whole and the only woman who could ever bear his children-has brought them together and that she is his. He has searched for her for years, decades and centuries and now that he has her he plans to keep her.
Emmaline Troy is a timid and shy half vampire that has been sheltered her entire life, She yearns for a place to belong.Though she has lived her very short-in Loren terms-life with a Valkyrie coven-who are her aunts, She doesn't feel she belongs with them, no matter how much she loves them. Emma is half Valkyrie, half vampire-She is very timid, naive and innocent. He takes her by surprise, kidnaps her, after realizing she is his mate-much to his apparent disappointment. He does NOT tell her, she is his mate and convinces her to travel to Scotland with him, where all the real romancing happens. Lachlain is unaware that she is an innocent-a virgin-who hadn't even had her first kiss until she met him.
My Casting choice for Emma.
Emmmaline Troy~Emilie De Ravin
I loved the development of the characters-How Emmaline grows from a timid and shy lass to a Headstrong and bad ass (yet still kinda shy)woman. She becomes self confident, grows stronger and more resilient and more accepting to her vampire-side.It was great to watch her go from Emma The Timid to Emma The King Killer.
Kresley Cole is a fantastic writer. I was drawn into the story from the first sentence, and could barely but it down-reluctant to even eat my food, because I was so enclosed in the world of Lachlain and Emmaline.
“He stalked up behind her to clench her hips, and she stilled. In a breathy voice, she asked, "You're going to make love to me again, aren't you?" In answer,he lifted her onto the counter, tore off her shift, then pressed her naked body back into the blooms.”
Lachlain and Emmaline's relationship begins off rocky, yet it becomes such a strongly bound and loving relationship. I loved the steamy and intense chemistry between Lachlain and Emma. Kresley Cole can't go wrong with a sexy, hot highlander Lykae. I adore how WILD Lachlain is. He doesn't act modern because he isn't--And he acts possessive and wild because he's not human(he is a freaking Lykae-Which I don't think some reviews understand. 5 STARS!! They only made it to an empty hall before he pressed her against the wall, cupped her neck, and demanded once again, “You’ll stay with me?” “Always.”

Another fantastic novel by the amazing Kresley Cole! I Loved all Holly's quirks and Having OCD myself it was actually cool to see a Heroine with it to-Another fantastic novel by the amazing Kresley Cole! I Loved all Holly's quirks and Having OCD myself it was actually cool to see a Heroine with it to--with a incrediablly sexy demon who actually tolerates her OCD- This is bad...i actually have fetish of sorts for Demons, Vampires and Lykae...This is not good...Lachlain, Of course will always be my Number one...Lothaire, second...Cadeon, 3rd and Conrad forth. I would totally hang out with Cadeon and Holly- invite them over- watch tv, play video games- stalk hot guys, much to Cadeon's disapprovel. But Seriously-I loved the match up of them- its to cute for words. I loved how Cadeon would also try and make the OCD easier to handle-hell no body does that for me--but i thought it was sweet how he watched over her for so long-- that he just knows her every quirk and how hard it can be. I truly believed Cadeon was a softy at heart and wasn't afraid to show that he cared.
Kresley Cole basically Rocks my socks with each book. Great Great book-- 4 stars!
Once again, Mrs.Cole has rocked my world with this heart wrenching and adorable book! I simply loved the pairing of Murdoch and Danii. I read this in OOnce again, Mrs.Cole has rocked my world with this heart wrenching and adorable book! I simply loved the pairing of Murdoch and Danii. I read this in ONE day(ebook). I related with the sense of longing that Danii has through out the book, she is so completely alone even when she wasn't- Mrs.Cole really packs emotion into this, you feel all the sorrow, Danielle's and Murdoch's yerning for one and other. The Emotion as are really REAL.It was almost painful for them(and for me as a reader) not to touch, yet they couldn't because it painful for Danielle, The Ice Maiden. Its not some colored in flowers book. It relateable. It shows what distance does to a couple-how longing and wanting something your know is untouchable can almost break them. Mrs.Cole Ties in all the Wroth brother stories together. This is my first time meeting Conrad...oh, my,god...i think im in love with him-GAH! something about him, he just got under my skin...in a good way. The Girl: Danielle, The Ice Maidin, Danielle, The Ice Queen. I actually loved her, she surprised me because i expected her to be Cold and unyeilding. Yet she wasnt't, she wants Murdoch the moment she lay eyes on him. She snares and crumples the belief she is shy. She isn't. But she is vulnerable, very vulnerable. With the two thousand years of not being touched, not being loved in the way that she should be she is lonely, and resents being an ICERE most of the time. She resents she has to listen to her wanton sister(who i adore)talk and talk about their lovers, while she is unable to even touch another besides from her own kind, who are trying to kill her.
The Boy: Murdoch Wroth, i love you, you unbearabley sexy Vampire. I Have to admit I love him, yet at times, he was a real ass. He says he dosent act this way around other woman. He takes his time in admiting he loves her- not realising that he does. He is sexy possessive! He is one of those guys(Much alike My Beloved Lachlain From 'A Hunger Like No other) who is like 'your mine!no man can have you but me' which i always find hot. He does have his 'Oh my god, Murdoch what are you doing?' moments. But he always makes up from it knowing when he is wrong. I Love his determaination yet still wanted to slap him upside the head a few times :)
The Story: WHY ARE YOU SO AWESOME KRELSEY COLE!! If i knew you i'd hug the crap outta you and thank you for haveing such a god damned incrediable mind. I mean, this is soooo good! I seriously love the movie and music references and it was really nice to listen to the music that kinda fits the scene.
I was unsure if i would like this when i began reading, but i really enjoyed it- this is my first encounter with the 'bad-type of heroine' because im not reading the books in order. Cadeons cameo was a friendly meeting for me since i have yet to read his book and seriously liked his character--But now i have spoilers for his book soooo :P I wasnt sure if i liked either of the Main characters at the beginning but the grew on me and I started to like them (including Rydstrom's bondage fetish ;P) Sabine had a completely different out look on life compaired to Rydstrom. Hers is kinda more sad and realistic view on life- while as realistic as you can get from dying several times. Like i said, I didnt know if i would like Sabine, but when she started showing feelings for Rydstrom(when after the battle with the vampires, she goes straight to Rydstrom and kisses him passionately--happy to be alive and with him again.)
Lothaire, OF COURSE, makes an apperence--and let me tell you...my knees went weak....ahhh he is soooo hot...at least in my mind any way.
Kresley Cole's books always make me laugh and this was no exception- Nix and Regin are always there for comic relief-- as well as Cadeon- who was just plain funny ''HELL YEAH!!'' and blunt.
Great book- i probably would have given this three stars but i thought it was amusing and well done so :)...more

Emmy Rossum as Ellie
Now who could possibly play Lothaire? Who, Indeed?...I HAVE NOOOOO IDEA...Okay...I'm lieing, I just wanna keep him all to myself...*dramatic sigh* Ladies and Gentlemen!! *clears throut*
Paul Marron As Lothaire. Lothaire is a complete bastard but i want him in my bed :P
REVIEW: I LOVED this book! Its my new obsession. Kresley Cole has yet again out done herself, and now im almost frothing at the mouth for the next book in the series, which i seriously hope is Nixie's Or Kristoff! The characters are so believable that you feel you know them, Elizabeth was just the BOMB! She was so really a truly the 'sucker punch' Lothaire didn't see coming.
The Hero or rather The anti-hero,Lothaire: Cunning, Ruthless, Sexy, evil and a complete bastard! I couldn't help but love him. Reading this you actually understand, Why he is such an A-hole (a very sexy one, but still). He has never known happiness, due to the haunting up bringing he had. You feel smpathy for Lothaire, you I don't know about you but when (view spoiler)[His Father, Stefanovich kills his beloved puppy right in front of him. (hide spoiler)] i went all maternal on him :P He is seriously alpha and Possessive which, is quite obviously a plus for me! The thing about Lothaire is, You don't know if he is evil or good, because honestly in some twisted way, He's good. He does stuff for himself to assure his welfare but it always ends up better for the others aswell as him. Kresley stuck to the Character of Lothaire from beginning to end. She didn't try and make him turn miraciously into a good guy, She made it so he was still as cunning(and sexy) as before but made him open his mind more, making him see that there was a world out side of vengence and power. Or rather Elizabeth did. Lothaire really has a problem with accepting the fact that Elizabeth is his bride, but when he does he is discusted with his treatment of her. WHO I CAST!: The coverboy, Paul Marron, just fit the bill for me and when i though of who i would cast as Lothaire, he was all i could think about!! He was perfect for the cover and the representation of Lothaire.
Our Heroine, The Sucker Punch, Elizabeth: Elizabeth is a BaDASS! I loved her! Ellie is quick witted, intelligent and seriously funny. She was so relateable, and quite frankly to good for Lothaire! but he does learn a little so,I suppose he trys to be good enough. Elizabeth is truly the sucker punch! She decides to make Lothaire fall inm love with her, so she can carry on living, while trying to protect her own feelings. She is most definitely one of my top Heroines of the IAD series. I loved how she was so strong and thickskinned that most things didn't bother her. Except where Lothaire was involved, She somehow falls for him, not the mean and brutal parts of him but the Loving, caring and entertaining side to him(but to be honest Lothaires always Entertaining!) Ellie has such depth and meaning. She truly understands Lothaire, and thats why they seem perfect for eachother. She accepts him as he accepts her.
The Romance: Lothaire And Elizabeth are complete opposites. Their Chemistry is smoking hot! The sex scenes are...WOW!! Kresley has uped the ante and these characters are the started of some amazing plot, which will all play together! Elizabeth is a piece of Lothaire that he desperately needs, she calms him and somehow eases the insanity. Once Elizabeth meets Lothaire, i think something clicks inside her, and Lothaire became a part of her too. There important parts of each other, Lothaire would be hopeless without her. (view spoiler)[Lothaire shows he has a twisted poetic side when he ripes his heart out of his chest, sends it to her in a box, With the note saying 'You will never get your claws into another one of mine' and my Freaking Bessie Elizabeth sends him the bird-Literally cuting of her middle finger and sending it to him. (hide spoiler)]
ALSO!! I seriously worried about Nix...Girl needs some love!
OVERALL--I loved 'Lothaire'. It was a great read and worth the wait!
Oh gosh, I love this quote...so possessive... Too bad,Elizabeth. You're Stuck with me.Not for a few decades, not for centuries. You're tied to me forever. That boy and girl offspring you talked off? They'll come from me--or no one."--Lothaire

I found Lord of the Fading Lands and Lady of Light and Shadows in a secondhand bookshop-it was well worn but the covers are so pretty!(WELL DONE,Judy York !) ANYWAY-I found this series while going through some users selves and wanted to check it out. So, imagine my surprise when I found these beauties in 'Connolly's bookshop'-Let me tell you I scared the owners and other customers with my high and girlish squeal of unadulterated Joy WHICH by the way, I rarely utter. I can only assume what I looked like...:
After running to the checkout with my two books clutched to my chest , screaming with childish glee whilst telling the shopkeeper how much I loved their shop, I Promptly ran home and fell asleep from all the excitement of the afternoon. I did not get around to LORD OF THE FADING LANDS for about 3 days-Until I woke up at 4am and decided now was as good atime as any to start a new book. Well...I went through half the book in four hours, adoring every page.
Let Me be upfront about something-THIS TOTALLY HAS AN ANIME/MANGA feel to it. C.L Wilson IF You ever by chance come across my review, HEED MY WORDs...CASH IN ON AN ANIME/MANGA!! It would be gorgeous and sell like hot cakes.
I ADORE the characters. They have such depth and meaning-expecially the Fey. HERE ARE THE MAIN: Ellysetta Baristani,Heroine,24 has been dreaming of fey legands and poetry her entire life, hoping she could have a love as strong as the Fey poems proclaim. She gets her wish in the form of Rain, Tairen Soul,Feyreisen of the FADING LANDS. Ellie has never been the ''pretty'' one or the most courted but she has never complained and gives everyone her empathy. Ellie has a quiet strength, dignity and power that makes her perfect as The Tairen Soul's mate, His Shei'teni(TRUEMATE OF THE SOUL-thats really good-better then the heart). Unbeknowest to them, Ellie has a bit of a past...with an evil mage in fact. (MAGE IS BIG-HUGE-In this series-Pay attention.)
Rainier vel’En Daris,Hero,Tairen Soul,Over 1000 years old went mad with grief when his e’tani(MATE OF THE HEART NOT THE SOUL.) Sariel was killed during the MAGE Wars-he went on to scorch the earth-for thousands of years he hid in his torment and madness. Which he is taken out of when evil is trying to overtake the fading lands. But then...Ellie's soul calls out to him, and the truemate bond is begun. Rain is beautiful. Black hair, purple eyes, tall, handsome, can shapeshifted into a Lion/Cat/Puma/Tiger/Black Leopard type magical being with wings and amazing fey abilites.
Isn't he pwetty! Rain Has never had this type of conection with anyone, not even Sariel, before. HE must protect and guard his Shei'tani. He wants and needs her more then he needs air. Here is a picture from C.L Wilson's site of The Idea of a Tairen Soul:
C.L Wilson creates a very enchanting and captivating world which, in some cases, has the same problems as our world. I Loved the interweaving plots, twists and turns, the vivid and weirdly relatable characters. I found LORD OF THE FADING LANDS really easy to get into-I couldn't pick up any other book until I finished it and when I wasn't reading it-Ex:At My friends sleepover-I couldn't help but wish to be home and reading it.
By the end of the book, the reader is a part of C.L Wilson's World and begging for all the answers to the questions left behind-In fact, I'm itching the start the next one.(Its obviously lefted open ended because it is a series, that follows Ellie and Rain until the finale book.)
A well-written fantasy debut by C.L Wilson, That captures the readers and does not leave the reader alone until the last page....more
Brilliant! Just as captivating and enchanting as the first book in the ''Tarien Soul'' series by C.L.Wilson.
We see a greater love form between Ellie anBrilliant! Just as captivating and enchanting as the first book in the ''Tarien Soul'' series by C.L.Wilson.
We see a greater love form between Ellie and Rain. The both learn each others faults and how to accept one another through tough decisions. Rain, basicly, acts like a typical guy when he dosen't want to believe/accept something. He runs. But he comes back after realising he needs Ellie, not just as the potentional resucer of the fey and tarien race but because she is her. She is his true mate.
I adore the twists and turns in this series. It keeps you guessing and wanting more. I basically hopped from one page to another, racing through the book and trying to find the answers for all the things left un-said. I did however run to my Goodreads friend and ask them about some answers-Yes, I cheated , sue me! I have to wait for weeks until I get the nest book!
For the record, I seriously believe this has Tv show potentionl! I mean could you Imagine this on HBO! Then I'd have to awesome fantasy shows to watch-This and Game Of Thrones. HBO GET IN ON THIS!!

Kresley Cole never ceases to be amazing!(note: as of yet: 23/09/13 I have not read any of her YA books, which have got good and bad reviews.)
I actually love this book, I thought it was quite different to any other books in this series...Having said that, This is not my favorite book of the Series but is definitely in the top 5. This book is more...Emotional based than action based but we do have our wee bit of action.
When I say it was different from the other books of the series, I mean, How Kresley deals with the theme of (view spoiler)[child molestation of Will Macrieve (hide spoiler)], which is a REALLY hard subject to write about as well as read about--Kresley, in my opinion, NAILED THIS. She delved into the characters, heart and mind, showing how many victims of this circumstance must feel. That ALONE got her an A++ from me.
The Characters. [BEWARE THERE BE SPOILERS HERE}
Uilleam MacRieve aka Will is everything you expected a MacRieve to be...Tall, dark, sexy as hell, Lykae, tortured and brooding-HOW COULD YOU NOT LUST AFTER HIM? Uilleam is a damaged and possessive ass-Which, of course, I liked.
However, behind all his smoldering looks and mysterious air-he is, in fact, extremely tortured by his past for which he feels shame and guilt over(and which never seems to stop coming back to hunt him). REMINDING YOU FOR THE LAST TIME--SPOILERS BE HERE!
I did not expect the depth of his angst. But hell, he has fucking HUGE reason to be angsty as hell! This physically aggrieves me to write this because I care so much about Will and I(even though he hates it) pity and sympathizes with him so god damned much it kills me. Will was molested by SUCCUBUS for FOUR years when he was 9-12 years old. Basically, He has every right to be brooding and angry all the time. But ultimately over comes with the help of his fated Mate-Chloe.I had a love/hate relationship with Will as he could be a COMPLETE AND UTTER DICK and then go back to being just *le sigh* perfect.
NOTE: The Lykae are my goddamned babies! I love them all, Ever since I picked up A Hunger Like No Other-The MacRieve's have a special place in my heart(Especially You, Lachlain *wink-Wink*)
Chloe Webb(YES, THAT Webb) is actually fucking epic! She is so different from what you usually see as a romance Heroine. She is deifies expectations-Mine and Will's-and is just simply BAD ASS-Will(though he can be so stupid at times) and Chloe were perfect for each other. I don't think Kresley could have written a more fitting mate for Will. Chloe has looks, strength, wit and spunk to keep everyone entertained-especially when she gets down and dirty with HER MacRieve.
Obviously-When Kresley mentioned on facebook or where ever that a ENTIRELY new Loren-who had never been mentioned before was to surface in this book-I immediately thought MERMAIDs but alas I was wrong but never disappointed and I enjoyed Kresley's ideas about this species (view spoiler)[ Chloe is a Succubus-mind you she is a VIRGIN succubus (hide spoiler)] and it was really fun and interesting to learn about this different type from what we in the 'normal' world know them as. Also, Will's reaction's to it. I mean,
Will and Chloe I just...So adorable. I mean, when they first meet is so exciting and romantic- Chloe takes it in her stride while Will, kinda runs around like a headless chicken for awhile-as he has never really HAD to do this whole 'romance thing'. I loved they way they talk to one another and seemed to have each other's backs 100%. Again, I can not say how perfect they are together and how they really do make each other whole.
Okay, Time for Erin's freak out time
ERMERGERD! ERMERGERD!! THAT CLIFFHANGER!
HOLY SHIT, HOLY SHIT!!! I NEED IT! I NEED IT NOW!!!! Munro!! Oh my sweet, sweet Munro!! I need this book like yesterday! I want The MacRieve Clan to bust in there before MAJOR SHIZNIT CAN HIT THE FAN! OH PLEASEEEEEEEEE.
FREAK OUT OVER
Anyhow, I am obviously quite excited about the next MacRieve book.
But I fear how long it will take for the Munro's story to come out-as I expected Furie and Kristoff's story to be this one.
Books by Kresley that I need, like I need air is Munro's and Nix's. I already got my Lothaire, so That is sorted but I know there are more characters that I would like to read about as well.
I also really like how the last two books had Virgin heroines-which are my favorite type of heroines. I have no clue why, I just like them that way-I guess, I like the one and only thing :/ I hope, Kresley writes more Virgin heroines and hero's.
This is a serious question here: Would anyone be surprised if NIX was a virgin? We never really know anything about her past loves etc. So, I'm just guessing here :P (Don't judge me)
ANYWAY, If I were to cast the main characters: Once again, I can never find a casting for the hero but almost always for the Heroine. Keira Knightley~Chloe Webb(MacRieve) While reading MacRieve-all I could think of as Chloe was Keira in Bend It Like Beckham:
