It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything to write home about either. I can't completely put my finger on it. Sometimes it was their interaction and sometimes it was just Eve. I disagreed with almost every choice she made. And then Nolan and his constant happy go lucky nothing can knock me off my optimistic way of life. It must be me, because being happy is a good thing really. But at some point between Eve's everything is going to go wrong so I'm going to be a B***h to everyone especially men combined with Nolan's positive it was to much.
In the end the book was okay. Glad I read it, as it's another book in a series I've enjoyed. That being said it wasn't my favorite, but not bad either....more

He was nearly a dream guy once we figured out what happened in the past between him and Kendall. Kendall drove me absolutely crazy. I liked her as a person, but most of the time I didn't think she deserved Evan. I get the idea of being insecure, but she certainly brought it to a whole new level and at times was a complete idiot when it came to this relationship. Then things are working their way out and we get a completely predictable wrench thrown in to just complicate matters all over again. I saw it coming a mile away, but to be honest it seemed a little late in the book for the trouble to be added. Then I wasn't exactly thrilled with how Kendall handled it. I didn't think she should have taken it easily, but the woman needs to grow up. Besides I would have been ticked for a totally different reason than she was. (view spoiler)[Really Evan had sex with a one night stand he didn't even like with no condom? After his brothers fake pregnancy scare? Knowing about diseases? And only doing so with Kendall after finding out she was on the pill(when he was pretty wasted)? And he was only buzzed? or wasted? With Sarah? He said pretty much both at different times. And did the baby turn out to be his? Either way those guys with all the groupies etc. Why would he not be cautious about sex and condoms it just made no since. And really the way Sarah and Nikki have been played off I would not buy for a second he was the only guy she slept with in that time period. And even if she was that different from her best friend. Evan would have to assume they were about the same and Nikki was a slut period. The woman slept with another guy while dating Ty. Okay sorry about my rant, but this just seemed so predictable to have Sara turn up pregnant and then to find out how stupid Evan had been and then play Sarah so different from the past books it all just seemed a little to much for me. I had a feeling these two were going to get back together from the first book and I'm glad they finally worked past their issues. For all the build up in the first two books with these two characters relationship I would have liked to have seen their story a little more filled out. While I love the characters and their bantering it seemed to be lacking in this book. They always had such good chemistry and interaction I was wanting to see them build on it. But they kinda took a landslide with their relationship in this story. And the progression to working out their problems finally came at the end. While I still really enjoyed the book and the outcome I just wanted to see more progress throughout the book. Instead of it being as Ty said they were volatile together (most of the time)...more

Both characters were fantastic. Ty wasn't quite the good boy that Elec was, but he came around quickly enough. And Imogen was amazing with her quirky honesty. I loved the way that Ty and Imogen interacted. They made a great couple and I was thrilled to see Ty ditch Nikki from the last book. We got to see our other favorite characters and can't wait to see Ryder and Suz work out their unfinished business. ...more

It was slow paced for the first half and I almost didn't finish it. While I found the subject interesting it was just very slow. I'm glad I came back to it since I did enjoy the second half. Everything picked up. The romance began to progress finally and then Anderson added a little mystery/suspense. I'm glad these two got their second chance at love, they deserved it....more

Lori was a good match for him although I honestly wasn't sure I would like her in the beginning. Over the story she got better right along with Reid. Reid's growth as a person was consistent from the first of the story. Lori hit a road block with her insecurity. I would like to think with her history and reasons for her insecurity she wouldn't have been as judgemental and making assumptions without the whole story. But in the end she realized the mistake in that. I was surprised to see Gloria grow as a person. I have hated her from the first book. I can't say I think all is forgiven, but she is making changes....more
I didn't feel like this book was a complete waste of time, but I was a little let down. To be fair I'm sure some people would like this book more than me. But for me the development wasn't what I would expect and the character development was lacking. It started off strong, but things just kind of stalled. I prefer the emotional stuff to drag me in and in Speed Dating all the problems were neatly glossed over and just instantly gone. It was a little to pretty and neat without really letting the reader know how it was handled.
Starting off this book our leads get thrown together in a very unlikely situation. I honestly didn't mind that and was starting to enjoy the story in the beginning. But once things got rolling and we decided Kendall and Dylan were going to spend twelve weeks together I was expecting things to pick up. Unfortunately things went down hill. In twelve weeks these two did not move past a friendship until the end when suddenly or it felt that way they both realized they loved each other. I find it honestly hard to believe that these two sexual active adults who were attracted to each other from the start spent twelve weeks together while Kendall played Dylan's arm candy and never moved their relationship on to any level. Every time it seemed like they were going to have an earth shattering moment or a ground breaking conversation the chapter ended and we jumped forward another week. It felt like my head was spinning wondering what the heck happened. I've read plenty of older romance with the everything interesting happens in the "quadruple space" and I can live with that, but this was worse. The whole book was so chaste it was unreal. Not to mention when they finally did have sex I wasn't sure it really happened or not. After so many end chapter at an interesting moment and then jump forward a week when the chapter ended on them closing the door I truly wondered if they did or didn't or if I could even assume they did with what the author gave us. Finally in the next chapter jump forward two weeks Kendall has a thought about them "loving" in the evening. I'm to assume they are having sex.
Okay now that I've finished my rant about the sexual development in the book I have to say I'm not really a big Nascar fan, but I don't really mind it. In this story I kind of feel like Warren could have done some more research on the subject. I wouldn't like her to go into overkill on the details, but since the majority of the book is set in that area it seemed a little glossed over.
My other complaint would have to be the outrageous relationship with Dylan and his ex-wife Ashlee. Those issues were adding lots of dynamic to the book, but really it did not do Dylan any favors as the hero. And the ending to that problem once again was just cleanly glossed over. That should have added to more of the emotional ups and downs, but mostly I just felt annoyed and then wondered what the heck happened when suddenly it wasn't a problem anymore. ...more

I loved the small town with it's unique problem of a man shortage. Overall I liked the leading characters. I really liked Josh and fell for him along with Charity. He did handle some surprise information badly in my opinion. Charity was a good leading lady. She did start off with some prejudice and slight snobbishness toward any man who attracts a lot of female attention. Although many can be jerks I don't think presumptions about someone's character so quickly was not a great quality in her. That being said Charity had some issues to get through from her past. Her actions at the end were what really bothered me and I'm still not exactly okay with, but obviously there was a HEA despite my annoyance over the issue. I loved meeting all of the small town residents and I'm looking forward to the stories to come for the others....more
