I'm still in the first half of the book- but already I feel the movie makers did a really good job adapting it.
Really really good book, very easy read because the story is so damn good. The movie did a great job of adapting it, except a couple of notable differences: the book does not mention ANY of the lawsuit proceedings btw the Winklevoss twins and Zuckerberg- it stops right at the point they all decide to pursue legal action. Which is interesting bc the movie is basically based around this lawsuit, going back and forth in time btw depositions and how everything got started.
Also, there is no Rooney Mara character that Zuckerberg is smitten with- and is the impetus for him starting Facebook. He has an Asian girlfriend throughout the movie. But I really like how they put that in the movie, really gave it a purpose to show the humanity behind any creation. What is kinda interesting is the concentration of Asian women in this book- I don't think there was one non-Asian girl in there. Harvard boys must have a thing for them!
A couple of other scenes were left out, which would have been cool to see in the movie. I have a feeling Saverin was one of the author's inside sources, the book is more from his point of view than Zuckerbergs.
If you watched the movie, and liked it, I definitely recommend reading this book. It's like re-watching the movie, but with more little fun facts in each scene, kind of like VH1's Pop Up Video....more

Ok I hate not finishing a book, but I had to stop reading halfway because honestly I could write this damn thing myself. I am obsessed with organization, and am always cleaning out all my possessions (personal and work related) every 6 months- just getting things out of my house that I am not using. And I hate clutter, etc. so reading this when I have a long list of other books to read was just stressing me out more than helping me.
It is good stuff though if you need help getting your sh*t together. ...more

I have always been tthis book should be required reading for every single person in the world. amazing. how am I just learning about Anthony Robbins. I have always been the most motivated, determined person I know in every area of my life, but lately I had begun to lose that. Robbbins' book helped to take me out of this dark part of my life and has motivated me again to become something great during my one shot at life.
This is a very long book, and should not be rushed through reading. You really need to read a little each day- I would read a chapter or two- and then think about what you have read in the next 24 hours. You also need to do all the exercises it tells you to do- no matter how gay or cheesy they may seem to you- it really does make sense and help you get out of your rut of unhealthy thinking and living. An unexamined life is not worth living......more
