I have being sitting here trying to think of what to say about this gorgeous book. I’m not sure why I am finding it so difficult because I LOVED EVERYTHING about it. The amazing characters, the travel journal entries, the play lists, the quotes at beginning of each chapter, the menus, photos and all the other added little extras. But most of all the heart warming journey that it took me on. I can’t do a review that will give it the praise it deserves. So I think it is best that you read this book yourself (like right now!!!) to experience an unforgettable road trip .(less)

J'adore ce livre. In English - I love this book. I have been reading one fantastic review after another and trust me Anna and The French Kiss lives up to all the hype. And now I am going to have to insist that every book lover I know read this book because to me it is the perfect love story. Here is why:-
Because like true life the path of love never runs smoothly. Anna and St Claire didn't just instantly get together they had to overcome issues. I find it much more believable when characters work towards their happily ever after. It seems like maybe this could happen to you (apart from the whole living in Paris thing - although that would be nice!)
Anna and St. Claire's romance happens slowly and naturally. It is nice to see a relationship bloom from friendship to a deeper connection. You can see all the little and big reasons (like great hair - just kidding, sort of) why these two fell in love.
Because Perkins included and wrote with perfect detail all the understated moments like accidentally brushing arms or touching legs that helps you really feel the chemistry between these two.
One of his legs rests against mine. Despite the two layers of pants between us, I feel naked and vulnerable. He shifts again and now my entire leg, from calf to thigh rests against him. I smell his hair. Mmm. NO!
Because of the brilliant writing. It is hard to describe but it is like the words just disappear and you are just feeling this story. I am still shocked this is Stephanie Perkins debut novel. The dialogue was suprisingly funny and witty.
I mean, really. Who sends their kid to boarding school? It's so Hogwarts. Only mine doesn't have cute boy wizards or magic candy or flying lessons.
I also didn't expect so much depth to the characters. Anna and St. Claire will capture your heart and you won't want to let go.
So be prepared to fall in love with St Claire and Anna and of course Paris. Je l'ai aimé. LISEZ-LE! (I loved it. READ IT!)

I really enjoyed this book. I got pulled into the story within first few pages and finished the books in a few hours (it is only 204 pages so its a quick read). There wasnt any twists or suspense in this story like most parnormal stories but I liked the main character Jordan and her struggles to deal with her situation. Actually I would say there very little parnormal in this story.
This book is meant for teenagers but I would recommend it for ages 16 up as has references to drugs and sex.
I am definetly interested in reading more from Amanda Marrone. (less)

It is about Claire at 16 year old who is attending college in Morganville. Claire lives in the Dorm where she is be bullied. Claire seeks out other accomodation off campus and moves into the Glass House with Shane, Eve and Michael. Claire learns that Morganville has a secret that comes out at night time.
This book had lots of twist and turns that made you want to read the book quickly. So much happened in 239 pages. The book also finished on a big cliffhanger leaving me wanting the next one. The characters really look out for each other making you love them. There is a little bit of romance in the book but it does not play a major part at this stage in the series but you can see it will definetly develop as the series goes on.
I recommend this for both adults and young-adults who like action pack vampire books.
Overall a good read and I look forward to reading the rest of the series. (less)

Sunny has one week to somehow get the bite reserved so she doesn't become a vampire and bloodmate to Magnus.
This book was okay. At time I just found it a bit too silly and it didn't really capture my attention. I found myself skimming parts of the book as well. I also felt you did not really get to know the characters. There were some sweet moments between Sunny and Magnus that made me smile however.
I not sure if I would read anymore of this series.

I am surprised how much I loved it. I did hear from quite a few people that the first book is the weakest but I am not sure why. I admit the world building and trying to remember who is what is a bit hard at times but other than that it is fantastic. I am so excited for the next book now.
Twinie, I am sorry I finished it so fast. I just got addicted. Thanks for the read along :) (less)

Lately I have been reading just pretty much young adult books but I thought I give adult urban fantasy a go and I’m so glad I did. Moon Called was action packed, witty, suspenseful and addictive. When I finished it I wanted to run straight down to the bookstore and get the next one but unfortunately I had spent my weekly book budget.
The plot is fast moving although there is a lot of world building but that is to be expected in the first instalment of a series. I liked the world Briggs has created with werewolves, skin walkers, fae, vampires and magic.
I loved Mercy instantly. She is loyal, stubborn, smart, tough and has a lot of sass. Kind of the gal I wish I was. There is a bit of a love triangle happening even if there isn’t a lot of romance in this book. Adam is delicious, he is the alpha male of the pack, need I say more. While Samuel is Mercy first love and another dominant werewolf. I’m still not sure if I can trust him with Mercy's heart. As you can imagine two stubborn werewolves with there eye on the same mate makes for some funny scenes. They other secondary characters are a interesting and entertaining bunch with Zee, Stefan, Warren, Kyle Jesse and Bran.
Overall, I loved every minute of it and I need the rest of the series NOW!(less)

I had high hopes for this book since I love Rachel Caine's Morganville Vampire series. Thankfully Ill Wind didn't disappoint. It was an action packed, witty and unique read that left me craving more.
Rachel Caine writing is never slow, the action starts from page 1 and doesn't stop. She also knows how to surprise you throwing in plenty of twists and turns that you never see coming. The character are interesting and instantly likeable. Joanne is an awesome character - strong, independent, witty and doesn't take any crap. She is easily going on my favourite female character shelf. And David he is a interesting character that left me wanting to know more. I kind of got a bit of a crush on him after the hot tub scene. I loved the romance in this book too, it wasn't the main focus and also was steamy without being smutty. The only problem I had was I found the weather talk a little bit confusing at first but as the book went on it got easier to understand.
Random Thought for my friends at Bookers: I'm not sure what year this book was published but in the story Joanne buys some velvet purple pants (I kid you not) and every time they mentioned (which was quite a lot) all I could think of was this http://images.buycostumes.com/mgen/me... thanks to Kim :)
Overall, I really enjoyed this first instalment and I now off to buy the rest.(less)

This book is written in diary enteries and it sometimes lacked emotion. It was hard to get a feel of what was going on at the beginning. The first half the writing was really choppy and kind of disconnected but the second half had picked up and had a nice flow and started to get that emotional connection that was missing in the first bit.
Edie, she drove me mad. She kept kissing and crushing after Dylan even when he treated her like dirt. The guy is moody and a douche. In one scene they have a major kiss and then he gets all moody and Edie falls over and he doesn't help her up he just looks at like he is annoyed that she fell over. I like gentlemen and not jerks. The both did improve somewhat at the end. Edie started standing up for herself and Dylan started being less of a jerk. The did however have some hot makeout scenes.

Yes they had to go get me addicted to a series where I only bought the first book and now I have to wait patiently for more Barrons :((less)
