I can not wait to read more, and as for my finial thoughts on this one, I am not sure that “stealing” your best friends boyfriend is right, but then again, I AM sure that finding love, IS worth a walk though hell to find...and so, I related to Lani, and I loved her for her willingness to walk though her own personal hell to find the love that, I think everyone in this world deserves! I give Something Like Fate 4 mushrooms, and put out a plea to Susane to never stop writing!

Bottom Line – if I had to sum up The Tension of Opposites using only two words I would use, Brave Love. These two innocuous little words, usually, I will admit, not seen together, can encompass an ocean, drag up feelings, sometimes we would rather not give voice to. But, they fit – like your grandparents hands fit inside each other, each worn in away that complements the other, allowing warmth, desire, and love to seep into each crack, line and bend.
Elle and Tessa are powerful characters, in this emotionally charged, story about what happens after, disaster strikes someone you love more than yourself. Kristina McBride, with her authentic voice and powerful subjects, has demanded attention, which is oftentimes reserved for more seasoned authors. She's not only proven herself, with her debut but has proved that not only does she have a voice that belongs in YA Literature, she's a voice that needs to be heard, felt and devoured. Kudo's to you Kristina, your debut novel is powerful, permeable and eloquent - I devoured it and I can't wait to read more! I give The Tension of Opposites 5 mushrooms....more

With it's authentic characters, it's brilliant story line, and a love story that's like no other - Kimberly Derting has, what I can only assume will become a best seller on her hands, I know I can't want to get my very own copy as soon as it's released (I am so sad to send on the ARC, so I can't read it again ASAP)! It definitely deserves 5 very big mushrooms! I can't wait to read much more from this author! Nor can I help but wonder, is Desires of the Dead (Kimberly's next novel due out in 2011) a sequel? Kimberly actually emailed me to let me know that it is!!! EAK – FAN GIRL SQUEAK – that's just too awesome! Though, don't get me wrong, The Body Finder does not end in a place where one might wish there was a sequel (like right now), it's very much it's own story but knowing there's going to be more of Violet and Jay...makes me one VERY happy girl!
