My only real complaint with this book was I thought everything went by so fast. The relationship built really fast and the ending came very abruptly. I know it was a cliffhanger and cliffhangers usually are very abrupt but this was like 'Wait that was the ending...huh?'. I will definitely continue with this series though and see where it goes.(less)

Savannah, her father, and her father's pregnant girlfriend re-locate her senior year to a high end riding stable. It's the chance of a lifetime for her father and with an unexpected baby on the way the whole family needs these new jobs to work out.
Savannah has grown up around horses her entire life. She understands them in a way that she hasn't ever really understood people. So when she gets to this new stable she wants to start being an exercise rider so that she can save up and start building a career. What she didn't expect was for Jack Goodwin to ride up and question everything Savannah thought she once wanted. Where she once thought that being an exercise rider was her future, she now questions herself and begins to want more for herself.
That more includes Jack, but there are certain expectations that go along with being the rich stable owner-to-be and Jack might not be willing to risk all that for a girl he just met. He and Savannah have an instant connection, but a lifetime of being told certain things and being expected to meet the expectations of his parents is a lot of pressure for Jack to take in. He wants Savannah but knows there might be a cost and he is nervous to make that leap.
This was a fun, light entertaining book about a girl a boy and how meeting the right person can change everything you ever thought you wanted. I haven't read any of the other books in this series so this can definitely be read as a stand alone. I believe previous characters did show up in this book and were mentioned but not anything that was pivotal to the story.(less)

I liked this book but it spanned a large time-frame and it jumped around a lot especially toward the end. This book covered the relationship between Josh and Hannah. The boy from the wrong side of the tracks (at least thats how he see's himself) and the town princess. Josh and Hannah had an instant connection but Josh knew Hannah was too young for him. We watch their relationship grow each passing year and the troubles that go along with their relationship and respective status in the community.

On the day that Tori turns seventeen strange things begin to happen to her. Supernatural things that she tries to ignore and forget about but it isn't long before Tori is forced to realize that she is different, that she is a witch. Tori is not just any witch though she has cursed blood running through her veins which if used too much takes a toll on her morality and sanity. With this cursed blood Tori's power is limitless but she fears what she will become if the blood takes over.
While going through all these discoveries Tori meets Christian and is instantly drawn to him. She knows she should run from him but doesn't know why and can't listen to that voice anyway. It is the same for Christian but he knows that nothing can happen between them because it is forbidden, and Christian is hiding a few secrets himself.
This was a Romeo and Juliet-esque romance between Tori and Christian, both know it is doomed and try and stay away from one another but ultimately can't. They will both fight and do whatever they can to try and be together. But their forbidden love isn't the only thing that puts them in danger. Tori's power is so immense that there are those out there that are hunting her power, and who want it for themselves.
This book was entertaining and exciting at times. I would have loved more back story on Tori's family and those that had come before her and how they handled the power. I also would have liked to have seen more of the happy times between Christian and Tori it kind of skipped the months were they were happily together. Overall I liked this book and will read future books in the series to see what happens with Tori's power and her relationship with Christian. I would also like to see more of Christian and his brothers relationship and what will happen there. There were many things left to explore with this book and I look forward to reading them. (less)

I'm intrigued to find out what will happen in the next book because this book left off with a big cliff hanger. But what didn't work for me was the ending of this book. It felt extremely rushed and I couldn't really follow the characters motivations. Each one was pushing the other away but still saying they wanted to be together some day. Also I thought that Madison wanted to do the long distance thing and wanted to make it work and suddenly that wasn't what he wanted. The ending just confused the crap out of me, and I understand that the author was trying to get the characters to a certain so certain things could unfold but to me it just felt thrown together. I will read the next book in the series though to see where it goes. (less)

This was a fun quick read. Kylie is posing as her stripper twin sister after her sister breaks her ankle. They both need the money that Kylie's twin Stacey makes so Kylie is stuck playing a stripper for the next few months while her sister recoups. While working Kylie discovers the body of a badly beaten man and in enters our hero Trevor.
Trevor is a detective who has recently inherited a cold case when another case drops into his lap that connects the two. Two men have been beaten to death and their connection is Stacey. Both are loyal clients of Stacey's and Kylie who is now playing Stacey is smack dab in the middle of it. Trevor and Kylie are instantly attracted to one another but with Kylie hiding her real identity it makes it tough for them to fully connect. Trevor and Kylie must discover the identity of this killer before he turns his gaze towards Kylie and while doing this they both must overcome past fears and decided what they both want once and for all.
I really enjoyed both main characters. I thought both were kind and generous and funny. I thoroughly enjoyed Trevor I thought he was amazing he was always so understanding, thoughtful, and insightful into what Kylie was thinking and what she needed. One of my only complaints was that I would have liked to hear more about Kylie and Stacey's back-story and got a better feel for their life there and why they were so desperate to get away. I also would have liked more time with the supporting characters I didn't really feel a connection to any of them. I didn't enjoy Kylie's twin Stacey I felt she was pretty self-absorbed and constantly took advantage of her sister.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The epilogue especially made the ending of the book great. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun quick read, with a romantic edge to it. (less)

The only characters I really enjoyed was Luke I loved his relationship with Lexi, but I hated that Lexi didn't see what was right in front of her. I couldn't stand Anna and thought she was a horrible friend and I hope in the sequel Lexi finds out what happened and cuts those two out of her life.
I really didn't feel any connection between Lexi and Bryce, and didn't understand why Lexi was so obsessed with him. Then after what Anna did she seemed to have developed feelings for him too even though she had never indicated that before, this book just confused me and I am not clear on how I really felt about it. I just have a feeling in the sequel Lexi will be with Luke and Bryce and Anna will get together. Lexi and Luke make sense but if Anna and Bryce get together it will have come out of nowhere, and that is not something I really want to read about. (less)

I loved that she was a genius wanting to be a normal girl, and I liked the fact that she saw patterns in everything (I'm a big fan of the late TV show Numbers, Digit was very Charlie). But I really didn't like how she figured out the terrorist plot I thought everything after that was just very far fetched.
At times I actually thought to myself this is all just very hard to believe, so that I think took a lot out of the book for me. I would get drawn into the story and then something would happen and I would be like Really? So this was a fun quirky book, but I don't know if I would read anymore about this character.(less)
