I read this book without reading the rest of the series and I was definitely missing a lot of plot points. I really liked the plot of this story but I do wish I could've read about how the two characters met. I believe because I didn't read the previous books I couldn't really connect fully with the main characters. So if you are interested in this book I would make sure you read the whole series first otherwise you will feel a little peer behind in the story....more

I liked this book but it spanned a large time-frame and it jumped around a lot especially toward the end. This book covered the relationship between Josh and Hannah. The boy from the wrong side of the tracks (at least thats how he see's himself) and the town princess. Josh and Hannah had an instant connection but Josh knew Hannah was too young for him. We watch their relationship grow each passing year and the troubles that go along with their relationship and respective status in the community.

Neither of them has been able to forget it but when Tyler goes to Wyoming for a quick visit with her sister she doesn't expect that she will be staying across the hall from Alex. The attraction is still there for both of them, and neither knows if they can or want to fight it. Alex is now part of the Last Chance Ranch family, which is something he loves and has longed for. But Tyler doesn't want to settle down, he knows that she will be leaving in a few days but he wants to make them count. But when things start to get too deep no one knows what the right choice for Tyler is anymore.
I liked both of these characters a lot. Tyler was enjoyable and fun and flirty. I haven't read any of the previous books but I assume Tyler was in the one about her sister. I would have liked to have seen a bigger relationship between the sisters. Alex was great, you felt for him because he was a little gun shy for a reason. Both characters had a good chemistry, but I wish we could have read about their night together in a prologue or something to get a better feel for their instant chemistry. Overall both characters were funny and exciting to read. This was a good book and I would definitely recommend it if you want a fun cowboy read!...more

A Cowboy's Touch is about Abigail and Wade. Abigail is an overstressed work-a-holic who was sent on three months vacation by her mother to visit her great Aunt. While there Abigail meets Wade's daughter and get's roped into being her nanny for the summer. But when she meets Wade for the first time she feels a spark of attraction that she hasn't felt in a long time. Wade was once a famous cowboy but after the tragedy and suspicion following his wife's death he moved himself and his daughter out of the spotlight and to Montana. Wade also finds himself unwillingly drawn to Abigail, she brings out feelings that he thought he had long since conquered.
Both Wade and Abigail suffer from hidden guilts and pasts. But when Abigail learns that her mother's magazine and all the jobs that go with it are about to be fired she decides that she is going to save the magazine. She has the perfect story expose where the famous cowboy disappeared too and to find out the mystery surrounding his wife's death. But things get more complicated for Abigail when her feelings start to get more involved and she questions whether to write the story or not. As things start to grow between the two both begin to heal old wounds but everything could change once Wade finds out about the story.
This is a Christian romance book which I didn't know when I began reading it. I have nothing against this genre but it came as a surprise. I loved Wade I thought he was an amazing character. He held so much guilt over what happened to his wife that he felt he couldn't be close to any other women including his daughter. He felt that they were all better off without him. I felt for him and understood his hurts, but was glad to see that he was able to heal and overcome some difficult things in his past.
Abigail I really liked in the beginning of the book, but I didn't like what she did to Wade. She knew he and his daughter and cared about them both yet she was going to write a story exposing their life and bring in everything Wade tried to get away from. I found her to be selfish, I know that she was only trying to help the magazine but what she did and how she went about it were very wrong in my opinion. She was naive to believe that Wade would understand, especially since she knew how hard he worked and that he didn't crave attention. I also didn't like how her mother encouraged her to write the story even though she knew how conflicted Abigail was about it, and also how they kept saying God put this opportunity in front of you he wants it. They were justifying what they wanted by using God as an excuse. I personally thought Wade deserved better than Abigail in the end. It was a nice story and I enjoyed it, but Abigail brought down the book for me a little. ...more
Steven's life has changed so much in the past few months, and he's decided to make one more change and move to Stone Creek. In the past few months SteSteven's life has changed so much in the past few months, and he's decided to make one more change and move to Stone Creek. In the past few months Steven's best friend died in a motorcycle accident leaving Steven to take care of his friends five year old son. Steven and Matt moved to Stone Creek to start anew, where Steven will be a Defense Attorney pro-bono and will work on his ranch. The last thing Steven expected was to find a woman that turns his world even more upside down than it already is.
Melissa is the Prosecutor for Stone Creek, and she is content in her life until she see's Steven. It's an instant lust attraction on her end and she can shake this man with the adorable son. She's had her heart broken by a man with sons before and she's not looking for that to happen again. With all of her siblings happily married and having babies Melissa begins to question her life and if she is really happy or if she is missing something or someone.
I really enjoyed this book, I haven't read any of her other books so this book was fine as a stand alone novel for me. The characters were amazing, Matt was so adorable always wanting a family and was completely honest in everything he did. You really got to see the relationship grow and expand with Matt and Steven and saw them struggle with what they were to each other. The way Steven was with Matt just made you love him even more. He had such a kind heart and wasn't above sharing it. Both the characters have a trouble family past and are both reluctant with relationships but they were amazing together. I look forward to reading more books in this series especially ones with the cousins Connor and Brody. ...more
