I love a good New Adult book, but I also felt it would fit nicely under the romance and women's fiction categories too.
I'm sure we have all met people and had instant attractions to them, I know I have. However, I can say I've never fallen in love with my best friends man and that's exactly what happen with Justine. Renee's boyfriend David isn't just an instant attraction for Justine, its a consuming feeling and what's worse is how the story pans out and the actions of many people involved.
Love Bites isn't just a romance story at all, its about Justine finding herself, friendship and bonds and realising that sometimes following your heart isn't always the right thing to do.
Love Bites was a refreshing read. I liked Justine and understood her actions and inner turmoil. She was only human like many of us and not perfect like too many book heroines we read about. I could relate to her and it made the tale more enjoyable.
I admit when I first met Renee in the book I didn't like her, but as the book went on I grew to understand her too. There are other characters but in honesty I don't want to talk about them. I don't want to spoil what happens in this story either.
I gave Love Bites 4 stars, it was a nice quick read for me and read in 1 sitting. I recommend it to those who love the New Adult genre and romance too. this book isn't heavy on the sex side of things and is more about finding yourself - Justine is always a really fun character, so don't expect lots of doom and gloom either.

I want to add, I gave this book 3.5 stars, but it was some amazing writing and I feel that with a better forewarning of the books subject matter it would have helped with a better review rating. I cannot knock the writing of S.K. Falls at all, this book was to the point and at times made me angry, it made me sad and it made me feel - I always think if a book can actually make you feel the emotion the author is pouring into the book, they have a real great talent.
I don't like to give much away with my reviews and I generally won't tell you something the synopsis doesn't. However, in order for me to be honest about this book I feel I need to be honest about what is wrong with Saylor. Saylor has Munchhausen's Syndrome 'Münchausen syndrome, is a psychiatric factitious disorder wherein those affected feign disease, illness, or psychological trauma to draw attention, sympathy, or reassurance to themselves. It is also sometimes known as hospital addiction syndrome, thick chart syndrome, or hospital hopper syndrome' *source* So, as you can imagine reading a book wrote from a girls point of view who harms herself to gain attention isn't an easy read. In fact, at times I really hate Saylor as a character which made this an even harder read. But, something kept pulling me in, making me read more. In fact, I read this book in 1 sitting only which should explain how it held my attention.
The romance aspect of this book was really beautifully written and I feel that is when we got to see the real 'Saylor'. I also loved how her relationships formed with other people and how things changed because of her actions and also the actions of others.
This book is so hard to summarise as so much happened and in honesty, not very much of it was nice. But, it is a good story, it is VERY well written and I feel a complete bitch in so many ways for giving this story 3.5 out of 5 stars. I just felt that I went into reading this expecting something different. I wasn't expecting the heart break I would feel, the shock I was sustain nor the tears I actually felt prick my eyes because of the words wrote by S.K. Falls. This book really did move me and I think it will move others.
Do not expect a typical love story, do not expect sunshine and roses as this book isn't about any of that, expect a dark, real story of a very messed up girl who along a painful journey learns something of herself and others. 3.5 stars from me and please forgive me for giving away Saylor's mental issues, but I felt in order to write an accurate review I needed to explain what was wrong with the girl.

I like a book that gives me enough froma synopsis that I have an idea of what's going to happen but not too much that I don't need to read it at all. I never expected to be so drawn in by a book, yet Hear Me captured my one night and didn't let do till I read the final words!
Hear Me tells us the story of Ivy and Archer. Ivy is half human and half forest magic (Her mother came from the forest) and is in love with Archer (A whole forest boy) who she was separated from when the Bells were erected a few years before. That may make you feel like you are going to know exactly what is going to happen in this book, but do not make judgements so quickly. Hear Me has a few twists in it which I didn't see coming and some really interesting characters.
Ivy was totally likeable, in fact she made me laugh out loud on more than a few occasional. Viv Daniels really seemed to get the idea that even when we are in certain situations, completely unsuitable thoughts do cross our minds and Ivy's straying eyes made me laugh out loud! I also loved how Archer came across in so many different ways that I really wasn't sure what way the story was going to go.
I especially loved the ending though and thought the name choosing was completely and utterly perfect. In fact, its probably what really made the journey complete for me. Although I can't say Hear Me will make me want to start reading more paranormal books again, I can say it is a beautiful story that truly captivated me and made me read it from start to end in one sitting (Yes, my other half did have to make all coffee/tea refills and also make sure the children went to bed). I gave Hear Me 4 stars from Viv Daniels and thoroughly recommend it. I feel those looking for a new adult paranormal/fantasy cross over will love it and those who already like a little fantasy in their lives will enjoy it too. A great book and with the snowy setting it really did make it feel like it was nearer Christmas here too!

While writing this book review I am currently on book 3 and have to say my opinion of the series has changed somewhat as I've worked my way through the story (I'm currently at week 6).
SNAPPED starts at the end of the story, we find our leading lady in a really bad situation and being accused of murder. We know very few details and have no idea what has happened or why. The story is told solely from Charlie's point of view and I admit at first I didn't really like her. As the books have gone on, I have come to like her a lot and dislike other characters. I don't really want to go into the other characters as I want you to read this book and make up your own minds. Each character has more than one side that is all I'm saying and one character who I absolutely loved in this book, I now can't stand in book 3 (SIN).
Ketley has a unique writing style and a way of dragging you in to the story and keeping you there. You feel compelled to keep reading and find out what is happening next, even though you may not like the course of the story. As a review is based on 1 book, in this case SNAPPED I have only given it 3 stars. However, when I finished reading SNAPPED I went straight onto Amazon and bought SHADE (Book 2). As soon as I finished SHADE, I then had to wait a few days for the release of SIN. So, as you can tell, the mystery of this tale does get a lot better and I ask you not to judge the book harshly by my review. SNAPPED sets you up with the characters and the first few weeks. It is a little slow I felt and I wanted more, but with SHADE and SIN I have been given too much and now I don't know who SNAPPED!
I gave SNAPPED 3 of of 5 stars, it was closely to a 3.5. But, I will say if I was reviewing it as a series and from what I've read so far I would give it 4/4.5 stars. I definitely recommend this series and would like to add Ketley Allison has found a new fan in me.
I can see why reviews are mixed. It's an odd one to sum up, however I think you have to praise the author when a book has only 2 charactersA solid 3.5
I can see why reviews are mixed. It's an odd one to sum up, however I think you have to praise the author when a book has only 2 characters really throughout most of it. It's hard to keep a reader engaged and I did feel like I had to keep reading. I'm not sure about the ending, yet I feel if it ended any other way I'd have been disappointed....more

I almost have as many questions as when I started. It's so choppy, doesn't flow and is like 4 different people wrote a chapter each without conferring what was going on to each other.
