I have now read 4 Jumper books, 1 AU novel, and 1 short story. I can honestly tell you this has become my favorite since we're solidly in the geeking out with science and dreaming the "impossible" I don't want to spoil a thing but by the title it should tell you where the story is going. It's so worth it. Cent is again the main protagonist but we get (as usual) get a few chapters from other POVs, even one or two that come completely by surprise but totally make sense. I adore the Rice family they are truly extraordinary. Hmm, somehow extraordinary just seems so pedestrian after this book.
What I really appreciate the most is how Gould's obsession with details always leads to more and more interesting tech and scientific knowledge. I am no engineer but I'd imagine a lot of this book would pass mustard without question and any bits that stretch laws only stretch in the realm of possibility and theory. It's not like it's some new fad either. Even in Reflex there is possible my favorite moment of any book I've ever read where Millie *considers* hacking into a computer and decides to pass on the the whole endeavour knowing there just wasn't enough time.
Honestly I can't keep talking about this book without ruining too much but suffice to say. The Rice family takes things to a new level when Cent tries out her hand with contributing to the world. It's a good time all around. Honest. If you're a fan you will feel very at home. Suffice to say this isn't the first time (nor I suspect the last) where you'll really be sad you don't possess their ability yourself.
It's now free boys and girls. I am not the hugest proponent of Guided View but now you can have a go and it won't cost you a thing.

I FRACKING LOVE this series though! Do not get me wrong. This 5* is for not only one of the most original ideas I've seen in a long time for Batman but its excellent execution. If you don't mind waiting the traditional single issues get printed every month and it really shows you how great the entire book is.
Honestly. Pick it up. It's free. There is literally no longer any excuse.
Hmm...5 8(!?!) books just showed up for free this week I wonder if we should be worried for them:
There are literally so maHere's why you're going to buy this comic.
The father of it all wrote for it.
Here's why you're going to be disappointed in it.
There are literally so many hands in this pot it starts to not only look funny but smell and taste bad...
Honestly over hyped doesn't even begin to describe this book but now I've read and it's nice. Not gonna lie. 50 years is a phenomenal achievement no matter how you look at it but because there are so many people involved this book comes off as silly and meaningless instead of timeless and classic.
Anyway, it's a fun read. Good luck with the covers though, there are still so many damn Marvel logos and "go see Thor in a theatre near you" bits that it's more than a lot aggravating......more

I honestly cannot get enough of this and it pains me to have to wait each month for the single issues to be printed. I know I know I could get them earlier but that's even more pain.
One question though and I am going to have to Google a bit but what is the deal with Babs' hair? I am super confused as to whether it was in the show like this or was it a costume thing.. or something else. But the black haired Barbara and the redheaded Batgirl is... in need of some research. I'm sure there's a reason. I just don't have it.
This months story was hilarious. Great Scott's and all. Highly recommended for anyone who's interested. Also noticing that each monthly doesn't make a mess of continuity you can just pick up and go - there's no need to feel left out at all. Because of the campiness of the show they explain who everyone is and their dastardly plan so you're good. No ones leaving anyone behind in the ... erm, ahem, dust ;-)...more

Everything about this book is perfect. The art, the writing, the completely impossible trips in aircraft (really the plural of aircraft is aircraft...whether it be due to costume or physics. It's a wild ride and you best get on. Cause I don't ever want it to stop....more

I am torn because I feel on one hand this could only happen in 2013 and on the other I don't understand why no one went and made this into a comic before! Seriously though if you were ever a fan of the Adam West 1960s Batman you're going to love this. There really isn't much more to say that than. I really like how well thought out and developed the story is and bonus it's hilarious.
One sad note. I tried reading the Digital First version... first? and decided to pick up the print editions. I can't recommend it enough. The colors pop and you aren't forced into the guided mode that frankly makes me feel like someone is forcing my eye like I haven't learned how to read comic books since I was 5. How unfortunate.
Anyway this book was great and I can't wait to give the trade to my friends and family with a dastardly grin and a HA HA HA :P...more

I know I said I was going to clear my head and then write this review a while ago but really I ended up watching 80s cartoons, playing The Stacks game (Oh yes!), listening to the soundtrack, and re-reading this book a couple more times. I'm currently obsessed with it (duh) and having to Mr. Wheaton read it to me :-)
If you feel my pain add your high score to the comments...
