It's Regency London, 1815, and the three girls are coming out in this season. Unfortunately, Alex's friend Lord Gavin Blackmoor's father has just died. It supposedly was an accident, but Alex, Vivi, Ella, and Gavin KNOW that the man was murdered. it wasn't an accident. And they intend to find out what happened. Sarah MacLean has woven a wonderful tale of romance, mystery, murder, and espionage. You can see the characters, and can feel what they are feeling. The Season has hilarious parts, sad parts, and cheesy romance parts.(Well, sweet, not cheesy.) I laughed out loud, almost cried, and could NOT put this book down. If your looking for some adventure, romance, and mystery, read The Season, a five star book written by Sarah MacLean. ...more

Angela, Maddie, and Zoe are in their senior year, and their instant messages just keep flying back and forth! L8r g8r is probably the best book out of the Internet Girls series. A little disgusting maybe, but still, the best. Lauren Myracle does a fantastic job of describing exactly what the girls are going through.I would recommend this book to all the girls. I don't think boys should read it, because it is full of private girl things. If you want to read this book, you might want to read ttyl and ttfn first, just so you understand everything. Happy reading!...more

They thought that all the bad stuff happened to them last year, but then Angela gets some bad news, Maddie gets a little wild(as usual) and Zoe does something totally un-zoe. Will the problems tear them apart? Will they get caught? And will they stay best friend forever? Lauren Myracle did a fantastic job telling the story of four girls struggling. The story is told entirely through instant messages, and you really get to know each girl's personality. The imagery is fantastic too. So, through the instant messages, you get to hear about boy problems, what the heck is going on problems, and so on. This book is amazing! But before you read this one, you might want to read the first book of the series, ttyl. Happy reading! ...more

B Uprising is about three girls: Bella, Yetta, and Jane. Bella is an Italian immigrant, who has just arrived in America at the beginning of the book. Bella has come from her small village of Calia to find work, so she can send money back home to her starving family. In America, Bella stays with her distant cousin Pietro, who finds her a job at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory. There she meets Yetta,a Russian immigrant who came to America when her older sister, Rahel, sent a ticket for the ship home to their shtetl. Yetta is involved in the suffrage movement, and in the workers' strike. Jane is a society lady, whose mother died, and her father doesn't love her. In fact, all her father thinks she's good for is marrying her off, so he can get more money. Jane also has a cruel, cold governess named Miss Milhouse. This book is full of surprising twists that keep you turning pages until the very end. Margaret Peterson Haddix does a fantastic job with that. The descriptions are also very well written. The book is not just a historical fiction book, but a mystery as well. The story starts out with a young woman named Harriet asking a lady named Mrs. Livingston about the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire. You don't get to find out who Harriet and Mrs. Livingston are until the very end. If you want to find out how Bella, Yetta, and Jane become best friends, who Mrs. Livingston and Harriet are, and why the fire is so important, read Uprising by Margaret Peteson Haddix.
