Jake is an appealing character: rich, handsome, hard working, and so emotionally vulnerable he denies he even has feelings. Holly is his perfect match, although she hardly thinks so, coming from a less than affluent family as she does. Their romance is sexually charged but is also a love affair that will touch your heartstrings.
Oh. Wow! This fifth title in the Diamonds Down Under series does not disappoint! It is a rugged and emotional ride that blends well with the previous works. Great characters, lush setting, and a view of life on the ultra-rich side make for an enjoyable read. You will want to read the previous titles first for the full impact of the combined authors' efforts, but if you start with this title you will still enjoy it; you'll just be compelled to find the first title. So make sure to save BOARDROOMS & A BILLIONAIRE HEIR for a later reread after you do read book one of the series. For those following the series, a few mysteries remain to intrigue you about the concluding story, but James's return to the family is an emotional story too good to miss.

Paula Roe pens an unforgettable story of love lost and found in Forgotten Marriage (4.5). The accident that killed his father also left large holes in Finn Sorensen's memory, and there's only one person who can help him fill in the blanks before he loses his father's multimillion dollar company: his almost ex-wife -- a woman he barely remembers. Why did their marriage fail? Roe paints a stormy, passionate picture, and her characters are richly etched and multilayered.

THE MAGNATE'S BABY PROMISE (4) by Paula Roe: Cal Prescott's life goal has been to have complete control of VP Tech, and no one, not even his scheming father, is going to stand in his way. But the only way to wrest control of the company from his stepbrother is to be the first to marry and have an heir. Cal hits the jackpot after one night with B&B owner Ava Reilly. Pregnant, alone and with a business on the verge of bankruptcy, she's the answer to his problems. But Ava will only marry him if he helps her inn. Cal's single-mindedness and Ava's uncertainty may sabotage their future, until his past comes back to haunt them. Roe's characters are colorful and believable. You'll be rooting for them to overcome each obstacle.
An intriguing concept, Finn’s memory loss allowed him to make decisions without family interference. Finn does not recognize Ally but it seems his senses do. Ally too felt that spark but she wanted to protect herself and yet she is drawn to help him. Beautifully matched, that passion cannot be denied and blazes forth. A story of second chances, Forgotten Marriage is charming, fascinating and passionate. This is my first novel by Paula Roe and I can guarantee it will not be the last. She produces pleasurable reading from first page to last.
