I love Nalini's books and I've always hoped she would write a contemporary series. I never dreamed she would make it about rockstars!!!
I adored the fact that parts of the books are set in Australia. We don't have nearly enough books set there. It's refreshing and interesting to discover new grounds. I've read hundreds of books set either in the US or in England but only a few set in Australia. I wouldn't mind more books set there *wink wink nudge nudge*.
The first few chapters had me worried it would be too much about the sexual relationship and not enough on feelings, but I think that was meant to be like this. I couldn't stop reading and I wanted more more moooooore of them. It was interesting and the main characters were easy to love. Flawed, yes but that made them human. The hero has a temper and he knows when he acted as a jerk. I love that he's working on his temper.
I won't lie, it's a lot of fluffy mushy feelings mixed in one big story and I loved it! The second part of the book was more interesting in my opinion (not because of the change of settings though), a bit more drama.
My only 'complaint' would be that the heroine seems to change radically in a very small time-frame. I love that she's changing her ways but it felt very sudden and radical. But that's not either a real problem.
I have to say I LOVE her best friend and I sure hope to hear more about her story!

Gold Digger is like Cheesecake, you start with a bite you end up eating the whole cake. (Warning this review might have been written after a Cheesecake Orgy). Yes I started my review with the end but I needed to warn you of how addictive this book is.
Since I’ve been ‘stalking’ the author on Twitter/Goodreads (etc… <== Being vague: Way to avoid restraining orders *wink*), I knew before starting that this would be a light and cute romance (not the heavy tortured kind from previous books by this author**). Oh and how it worked for me! I loved how this book made me feel. I smiled so much my cheeks ached. <3 I really needed this.
If you’ve read Aleksandr’s Special Forces books (Free on his website) then you already know about Nikolai and his family history. More particularly his father Vadim, who was the hero of the Special Forces series. But never fear, you don’t need to have read it to read Gold Digger. It’s just the cherry on top of the cake.
Nikolai never stays put, always travelling for work his life can fit into 2 suitcases. His family could at best be described as a dysfunctional one. Nothing ‘normal’ about it. I think I loved that this made him open to anything. He’s a very loyal friend and he cares deeply about his job. When his work leads him to meet the (corporate) sharks of Lebeau Mining, he never expected he would meet someone like Henri.
Henri LeBeau is probably the only decent human being in the Lebeau Mining company. I loved his flirty, humorous ways. He has a thing to put Nikolai at ease, he’s friendly and well…openly gay. Nikolai knows better than to stick to the old ‘straight/gay’ categories, his family is proof enough that life is more complicated than that. Until now he’d only been with women but when Henri make him a very tempting offer, he’s not afraid to act on it. I loved that there was no ‘angst’, Nikolai doesn’t freak out or have a revelation about his identity. It feels like the natural progression of his life.
Henri knows what he likes, he was wild enough in his past to know what he wants now. Henri and Nikolai together just worked for me. The sex is hot, I mean…HOT. They are both quickly on the same page when it comes to their little fantasies. Nom. But past the great sex they both enjoy their time together. Henri is so endearing and funny. I loved how they started off with just a physical affair and ended up with a tender and adorable relationship. I’ve reread the first time they kissed at least ten time <3. Yes it all went a bit too fast to make it really believable, but I’m ready to bend the rules this time around.
The other really awesome thing about Gold Digger is seeing Nikolai work at having a real great relationship with his dad. It made me feel so happy to see them together. Also it’s just perfect seeing Vadim’s HEA *wink*. I told you it’s an adorably sweet story.
Gold Digger is a quick, sweet and sexy romance. It’ll make you smile and leave you feeling good and happy. It’s like that piece of awesome cake that makes you drool minus all the calories. In other words, go ahead and eat it up!
I give Gold Digger 4,5 Stars

This is only the review of Sway by Lauren Dane. It’s one of the 2 stories of the Cherished Duology, the second story being Exiled by Maya Banks I will read and review Maya’s story when I get it (Which is when it will be released *wink*). I’ve had the chance to win Sway in a twitter contest and let me tell you a lot of squeeing was involved.
Sway is the first book in the Delicious series. It’s connected to the Brown Siblings series (a spin-off actually), so if you too have been waiting to see Adrian Brown’s HEA you should read Sway *g*. Sway was wonderful. Amazing. Captivating. Perfect. I know I know, I should slow down on the 1 word descriptions but I’m in love with this book. I had high hopes for this story (because well it’s a Lauren Dane story!) and it was everything I wanted and more.
In the very first pages Lauren Dane mentions the song Sway by Rosemary Clooney and this song stuck to me all book long . Even now every time I think of Sway I hear the song and I admit it’s perfect for this book. The music is very sensual and makes you want to dance. This is how I felt while reading Sway. It’s dirty and funny and soooo sensual. Daisy is difficult to describe because she’s not just a dancer or a waitress or an artist. Daisy is a complex character and you’d need more than a book to apprehend all that is Daisy. She’s a gorgeous woman and while she knows perfectly how she looks she’s not vain nor petty. She’s young but she’s very mature. She’s such a wonderful character you’d want such a friend in your life.
Levi melted my heart. He’s an ‘older’ guy…40, handsome (ok he’s delicious) with a good career as a lawyer . He loves Art and he has good taste. Yes he’s perfect, I know I know! I completely fell in love with him from the very first scene where he meets Daisy. Levi as an older guy has more experience in life, he has a past and let’s say he’s been burned before. I have no words to say how much I loved Levi and Daisy together. The chemistry was…explosive. They fit exactly together. Lauren Dane writes the best sex scenes, it’s so erotic and sensual. Just LOVED it.
Of course Sway is also filled with a fabulous cast of secondary characters. We get to see more of Adrian and Gillian but we also learn more about Daisy’s friends (who will have their own books). I loved the strong sense of friendship and family this book was bringing me. Yes I’m using a lot of Love in this review but it was either that or lots of squeeeing
Sway made my face ache from smiling. It made me tear up and made my heart dance. Lauren Dane gave us a beautiful romance with the perfect rhythm, never rushing, slowly leading us to the discovery of love, but with just enough beat to make your heart race when the characters give in to their naughty side. It was just perfect in my eyes. I cannot wait to read the next books in the series. Sway is a delicious treat I recommend to anyone. Lauren Dane once again blew me away.

I'm a big fan of Kristan Higgins' books, so when I saw this book on Netgalley I jumped on the occasion. It might not be my favorite of her books but I really enjoyed reading it. Until There Was You is a cute romance with sweet and funny characters...a whole bunch of them!
Posey (whose real name is Cordelia AH!) is a funny character. From the first page you can't help but laugh at her Glass-Half-Full way of thinking. I couldn't NOT love someone who uses 'Holy Elvis' or 'Bieber!' as exclamations. Posey is a little thing, she's short, and very slim bordering on skinny but she eats like a pack of hungry wolves. When she was in high-school she had a crush on Liam Murphy, the bad-boy. The bad-boy who got all the girls, who had tattoos and a motorcycle. Liam broke her heart without even noticing. Now 15 years later, Liam is back in town.
I love Bad-boy heroes. I love even more a Bad-boy hero who turned into the perfect man...a perfect dad. Liam's now a widower with a teenager. He thought coming back to Bellsford would be a new start for his daughter and him. I have to tell you I love Liam, he's sexy and sweet and he loves his daughter sooooooo much it was just so sweet. I love how he's over-protective of her, the scene at the movie was just hilarious. He's nearly too perfect, he's so good and such a great person you wonder if he ever was a bad-boy at some point.
Posey has the best job ever! Well okay maybe I used to think differently but Kristan Higgins really sold it to me! Posey has a salvaging company, I used to think it was mostly preying on poor families who lost a loved one (well that's the experience I had at least) but Posey loves her job and her philosophy concerning her job is pretty amazing. She sees it as giving a new life to objects which would otherwise be destroyed or left to rot. She loves her job and I ended up loving it too.
My main concern with this book is that I felt it was lacking a bit in the romance section. They didn't seem to fall in love. Humm maybe I'd needed a bit more. It was still cute and the story is both funny and sweet. I adore some of the secondary characters. Jon is fantastic and hilarious. I adore him. And Henry's obsession with imputations made me laugh a lot. I fell in love with the Town, with the characters and the story but I wasn't completely convinced about the romance. It's still worth it for all the other parts of the book. There's no denying it Kristan Higgins knows how to tell a good story.
I should start this review by mentioning that I've been waiting to read this book ever since(this review was originally published on Book Lovers Inc)
I should start this review by mentioning that I've been waiting to read this book ever since I read Laid Bare (Which totally blew my brains out), the 1st book in the Brown Siblings series. Never Enough is the 4th and last book in this series and let me tell you,.it was definitely worth the wait! I wanted this book so much that when I heard the 3rd book wasn't Adrian's book, I was disappointed (probably one of the reasons why Inside Out didn't do much for me). So is was with both excitement and fear of disappointment that I started reading Never Enough. And Oh boy, this books delivers!
Let's start with a completely shallow point: The cover. It's so perfect. I'm in love with the model. He's just exactly Adrian...well ok maybe my vision of Adrian morphed into this model with time. But I'm good with that. ;) I cannot wait to receive my print copy of this one. *g*
Now let's talk about the book shall we? Adrian has been a fantastic side-character for the first 3 books, patient, adorable with kids... he really deserved his own family. Adrian is a rock star, a real one (yes there are some fake ones, yes I'm talking about you, there hiding behind your Guitar Hero gear). He's a big time musician and that already a big turn on for me (did I just say that out loud?), but also he's still the same. He hasn't turned into a snob celebrity, I really love his simple ways. Over the years Adrian has seen his family and friends find there soul mates and have children and he's craving the same. I have a huge Adrian crush *g*
Gillian is a fantastic heroine. I found myself in many of her quirks (yes I'm indirectly saying that I'm fantastic LOL). 13 Years ago, Gillian adopted her sister's unwanted baby never knowing who was the father. Her sister told her his identity on her death bed only a few weeks before the beginning of the book. Gillian is a great person, she loves her son more than anything but she knows the right thing is to tell that man that he has a son. Even if it could ruin everything she's built over the years. Her son Miles is pretty awesome himself. He's so cute and at this age where he's not yet a young adult but not a child anymore. The relationship between Gillian and her son was so pure, I loved reading about them.
Adrian is wary of humanity. His success as a Rockstar didn't come without a price. He's had his share of weirdos and people wanting things from him. Now he learns he has a son and it turns his life upside down. Lauren Dane has a talent for bringing to life complex and lovable characters. Gillian is British and (much like Adrian) I loved her accent and how she would go back to her native way of speaking when she was worked up. Gillian and Adrian have chemistry that's for sure. Wow the tension and the heat was very palpable. I really loved how their anger would turn to lust in a second. These 2 are really dirty. Oh my. Seriously, they are wicked and it was pure pleasure to read. Adrian is pretty much how I wanted him to be, Alpha and sweet at the same time. Gillian was much more than I was hoping for, she's deliciously dirty on the inside (and so Prim on the outside like Adrian would say). The sex scenes were very hot and touching at the same time, a mix Lauren Dane really knows how to deliver.
One of the best thing about this clash of personalities is to see the compromises they both had to make to make this work. Gillian knows the worth of things and she's brought up Miles to know he has to earn things and not have anything he wants on a whim. As a Rockstar, Adrian has plenty enough money for them all and he's happy when he can shower people in gifts. As you can imagine, it's bound to be problematic.
I guess I should warn you. If you haven't read the previous books you should know that this series has a special distinctive quality that will make you either love it or hate it. The characters in this series (and in Never Enough too) loves to TALK things out. They talk to length about their feelings. And I don't mean only the Hero/Heroine, I mean all of them...friends, family. I think it's a Brown/Copeland thing. Well, I, for one love this (except for Inside Out but I'm rambling) and it totally works for me. But I know that a few people found that fact a bit tedious/boring. So be ready for some feeling talks. ;)
If I have only 1 tiny tidbits I could complain about (hence the missing half star), it's the ending. Ah! Yes, it was in my opinion a bit too abrupt but that is probably just because I'm a fan of epilogues ;) And well I'm hoping we'll see their HEA in the next series about Gillian's friends *g*. At some point nearing the end I wanted to slap Adrian (and his sister) in the head...hard... repeatedly. LOL But they were just being Human, god knows how flawed we are, so I forgive them. ;)
I have to stop rambling about this book because I think I could go on and on for hours. I loved this book. It was beautiful and different. We get to see loved characters from the previous books (aka the Browns and the Copelands) and it's like eating sweets, pure pleasure. I devoured this book in no time. It lived up to my (very high) expectations.

After reading Only Mine all I wanted was to get the next book so I could plunge right back in Fool's Gold. Only Yours focuses this time on Montana's story. I can already tell you it was a cute and funny story! Not that I doubted it would be anything but. *wink*
Montana has a job she loves, training dogs so they would help people. I have to say I envied her job. Who wouldn't like training puppies into being serviceable dogs! I love how Susan Mallery characterized Montana's dogs. They are so cute and I'm sure if you have a dog it'll make you want to reach out and pet it. I'm a sucker for cute pets in books (yes I'm easy like that). And what did you know that one of Montana's puppy landed her right into the arms of a very sexy man. I couldn't help but laugh at how it happened.
Cue dark and sexy hero, aka Simon. Ladies, prepare the fan because this hero is one tough cookie. I do have a thing for jerk/dark/brooding/scarred/sexy heroes...well isn't that my luck! Here we are with the perfect candidate. *g* Simon is tortured and no, I didn't always understand him, but sometimes people are weird that way and they don't always make sense. At least he had the good sense to realize it ;).
We could say that Montana didn't really make a good first impression, but the same could be said for Simon. They got off on a rocky start but I loved the sexual tension between them. Simon is...intense...and it was very interesting to see how unsettle he was around Montana.
Only Yours is a sexy and cute story. I'm dying to read the next book to read more about the triplet's mother. She has one really fascinating story and I cannot waiiiiiiit to see where this go *g*. My only complaint about the story is that it felt a bit like a dejà-vu. Well maybe it is on purpose but some things were a bit too much like the first book. The story is predictable but it doesn't take any fun from reading it, I'd even go as far as to say that it was reassuring to know I could predict how it would end (I don't do well with suspense).
I can say it with all my heart this book was a very good Summer read. If you're not already addicted to Fool's Gold you should definitely give this series a try.

Breathe is the first book I've read from this author, and it won't be the last (I do end up saying that a lot these days!). What a roller-coaster of emotions I had in this book. Let's be honest, I cried like a freaking baby at least 3 times in less than 300 pages! I usually just get tears in my eyes, but not this time, I was crying like when I first got dumped (rings a bell? lol). Breathe is such a wonderful book, I fell in love with the 2 heroes. They both need to learn how to go on with their life, and the first step...is to breathe.
When I first read the blurb, I was afraid the guilt and misery part would be too much for me (I'm such a baby lol). So when I started reading I was lulled in a false hope that it wouldn't be that bad, right? It can only get better, right? Right? Ah! Well of course there wouldn't be much story if there weren't a few bumps in the road. My heart was crushed a few times and I couldn't read fast enough to get my reward. The HEA!
Lincoln's life ended the day he accidentally killed a woman. He lost everything that day, job, partner, car, home. He can't forgive himself for what he did and he thinks he deserves to suffer. After spending his time in jail, he's back in town and he wants to help his sister and her kids. He doesn't want much from life, only to help and protect them. He had to abandon his passion and anything he enjoyed. He can never forget, and someone has been sending him threats ever since the accident so that he doesn't forget. How I love Lincoln, he's a freaking hero and doesn't know it. He's such a wonderful man.
Jay's life changed forever the day his wife was killed. He's still mourning her and he doesn't know how to live without her. Jay married his best friend when they were only 19. Now he's a widow at 23. Jay is very different from Lincoln, well for once, he was married to a woman. Being with a man has always been his fantasy. When he meets a seductive stranger in a bar, he would have never imagined it's the same man who killed his wife.
They both went through something horrible and they are both trying to cope in a different way. When they meet they don't know anything about each other. Jay has never been with a man and Lincoln is openly gay. There's a spark from the start. They were both lost and needing sex. It's by chance that they meet. Of course soon enough they realize who the other really is. How can they be together, how could their family accept that Jay is gay and is attracted to the man who killed his wife. My heart was bleeding for them. Their impossible love made it so hard not to cry.
Jay and Lincoln together are very very hot. Oh my! I have to say I'm very picky on the M/M I read (I'm still a shy M/M reader), or more precisely about the M/M smex! There's PLENTY of smexing in this book, and I adored every page of it. *sits on ice* Jay's experiencing sex with a man for the first time, and everything's new for him but he's not a helpless man. Oh boy he knows how to be daring. I loved how he became comfortable with his sexuality and how he started to take the reins back. Love was bleeding from every scene between those two. I either wanted to Awwww, smile or cry.
The intrigue of the book is centered around the threats Lincoln has been receiving, some kind of 'whodunit'. When the threats start being very real for Linc's family they start searching for who's sending them. I was on the edge of my seat from start to end. There are a lot of twists and lots of drama (probably too much for my poor little heart). I also loved Lincoln's family, his sister and the kids were adorable and I loved the scenes with them.
It's a beautiful love story that will make you tear-up (*snort* more like cry like a baby) and smile and wish it would just never end. You can't help but fall in love with Linc and Jay. I can't recommend it enough. I can't wait to read more books by this author.
