Nik and Jurgen were an intense couple. I loved how Nik would stand up to Jurgen acting like he wasn't interested and then Jurgen would do his sexy little growling or purring and Nik would just cave. I loved Jurgen's possessiveness and his determination to have Nik even though Nik thought he'd just be a one-night stand. And those fucking chaps?!?!?! Fuck, can you say HOT????
Beyond that, it was just such a sweet story how they both fell for one another. The only tiny problem I had was I felt like there was too much sex. At least for my liking. I'd rather have had a bit more conversations between them but that's just me.
Overall, I loved this little short and I'd love to see more of these two and what their relationship becomes later one. Recommended. (less)

It's sweet and cute, a little rushed in the end and has a few inconsistencies with just borderline too much sex for me. It's insta-love but it's not the roll your eyes kind because while they are technically strangers, they've both admired each other from afar while working together and, as such, it completely works for this story.
When they go on a business trip and get stuck in Malpensa, the intensity between them felt so real to me and the way it was so easy for them to get together made their interactions extremely hot. On top of that, I found the fact that both of them were, in their own ways, afraid of what was forming between them so endearing and made me fall in love with them quickly. I felt the emotions they felt when everything from their perfect 'vacation' together ended and it broke my heart the way Javier and Andrew reacted. In the end, everything worked out and it just made me smile so stupidly, I just couldn't help it!
Buuuuut what made this book fantastic to me, what made it truly special, is that halfway through reading it, after I paused for a bit, I had this desire, this longing to keep reading. I had the strangest feeling of missing the book. The kind of missing where you haven't seen something for months and months but you long to see it again at the most ridiculous times. That's what it felt like to me, which is strange because I only put it down for a few hours! That feeling made me want to finish the book as soon as I could because I've never felt that way about a book before. I got those little butterflies in my tummy that you get when you have a crush on someone because of it and once I finished Transit, it felt strangely like I was coming home, in a sort of way.
It makes absolutely no sense at all and I'm more confused than anything about it but that right there made this book, imperfections and all, a five star read for me. I have a feeling I'll re-read it again. And quite often ;)(less)

I honestly have nothing bad to say about this story besides the fact that I want more, more, more! It's sweet and cute and funny, I didn't want to put it down once I started it.
I loved Cassidy. He had his dream of becoming a rock star taken away from him because of a tragic accident that left his parents dead and him to raise his two siblings. That right there is the first reason I fell in love with Cassidy. Instead of letting his sister and brother go into foster care, he changed who he was and busted his ass to keep them and make sure they had everything they needed. He's cute and shy at the office but out of the office he's completely different and throw him in front of a mic and you see a sexy, hot, confident, drool worthy guy with a voice to die for.
And, Malcolm? Omg, I loved him, too. He's a millionaire but chooses to work at the office Cassidy just got hired at. He has two brothers that he fights with almost constantly but he loves them so much he'll do anything for them. Their bickering is just so funny it had me cracking up throughout the book. Malcolm's also sweet especially when it comes to Cassidy. (view spoiler)[He literally bought the diner Cassidy used to work at just so he could fire the manager because the manager made Cassidy's life hell for almost 9 years (hide spoiler)] He's attracted to bad boys but he's had bad taste in those bad boys until he meets Cassidy.
Now, Cassidy is a good little boy at the office. Always prim and proper, never doing anything that could get him fired but underneath it all he's a different person. He can be intimating, especially with the sweet ass tattoos he has on his arms. Malcolm's attracted to 'office' Cassidy from the start, even if he's the exact opposite of what Malcolm usually goes for. Cassidy's attracted to his boss, too, but he won't do anything about it because they work together. But once both of them sees who the other's 'real' person is, it's like sparks fly.
Throw in the fact that Cassidy gets jittery whenever Malcolm is within looking distance for being the boss, Cassidy giving a drunken Malcolm a different name when they meet at a bar, making Malcolm pine for who he thinks are two separate guys and Malcolm's brother trying to get Cassidy to sign a singing contract and you have yourself a page-turning, non-stop hilarious story.

I really liked this story but I had a few problems with it.
What I loved about it is how it deals with a cop and the leader of a gang. I love characters that are so engrained into a criminal life. Gabe, the cop, isn't actually on active duty but on medical leave for a majority of the story while Angelo, the gang leader, we get numerous brief scenes with him dealing with being a crook. Gabe and Angelo have amazing chemistry. This story deals with insta-love, however, so beware for all those that don't like that type of theme. There's also big possessive, aggressive attitudes going on, which I found hot because I like that type of thing.
What I didn't like about the story, however, is the amount of sex. I felt like there was just too much to the point I started to skip some. Gabe and Angelo tended to have sex instead of talking things through when they had arguments. I also wish the book had elaborated on a lot more scenes. I felt like some things could have been longer to get the full aspect of Angelo's criminal life. Then there were glossed over scenes, like Angelo's jail time, that I wished had been fleshed out.
Overall, I liked the story very much. Gabe and Angelo were definitely hot. The story is engaging if you take it at surface value but more than that the ending was extremely sweet and I loved that. I'm looking forward to the sequel because I know it'll have to do with more gang life. (less)

For anyone that really knows me, they know how much I love certain aspects inside the m/m genre. Fantasy, arranged marriage, cruelty and abuse, quasi Stockholm Syndrome, emotionally messed up and broken characters, kidnapping or hostage situations, all those elements always end up making an exceptionally great book, in my eyes. With Snowflakes and Embers I felt like I was in heaven while reading it because it has all those elements (sans kidnapping. Sort of).
To fully describe what happens in this book would turn out to be a synopsis because the book is extremely long but when it comes to fantasy, those are always the best kind. We get details, a lot of details, in this book. We get background information because it is all very important but most importantly we get to actually see almost all of the situations and problems play out. We learn about Deseem's life as a young teen and what he goes through because of his family, the choices that are taken away from him and how he ends up being this shell of a man when he finally meets Liam. Liam, however, is a mystery in his own way. We know about him but the things he's gone through in his life are both horrendous and awe-inspiring because of how he's been able to survive with it.
What I took from this book, though, was acceptance and strength. Being able to see Liam and Deseem grow and change from damaged characters who couldn't get out of their custom roles to individuals who ended up loving each other even with the hardships they've faced was amazing. I felt what they felt. Their emotions were my emotions and whenever one of them was hurt or sad, I was hurt or sad. Honestly, both of them broke my heart because of how unique and strange they are compared their own people. Their relationship developed slowly and I really enjoyed that because it gave me the opportunity to enjoy the characters for who they were on the inside. Simply put, I loved these characters.
I really did love this book because both the setting and the characters, were extremely interesting. However, this book had a lot of editing mistakes and at times it drew me out of the story but after a while I got used to it enough to bypass them. Also, at times Liam really pissed me off. While I love slow, intense build ups, his constant denial and bringing Deseem closer just to push him away annoyed and frustrated me but I knew why he did it so I accepted it even if I wanted to pull his head out of his ass then beat him with a stick.
Overall, I really adored this book. It caught my attention from the beginning and kept it there. Deseem and Liam buried themselves inside my heart and wouldn't let up for even a minute. The world captivated me with the different cultures and the creatures involved. I'm not ready to let these two go yet so I sincerely hope there will be a sequel about them in the near future. Definitely recommended. (less)

In Locke & Key, we are introduced to Locke and Key. Locke is a vampire hunter and Key is his working partner who's the brains of all Locke's hunts. They've worked together for five years and while there's a mutual attraction, Locke is hesitant to become lovers because of his instinct that says Key is hiding something. When Locke finally finds out what Key is hiding, it's enough to make Locke rethink the partnership they have. It takes Locke's brother Preston intervening to get Locke to realize how much of an asshole he is.
In Sharing, Preston has his hands full as a top hunter, making sure all the top vampires stay within the parameters of the rules. While having more than just a few top vampires to look after, his focus is mostly taken up with Allesandro and Trenton because of their childish actions of stealing the others humans. Allesandro and Trenton get jealous however when Richard, another top vampire, tries to make a meal out of Preston. Now, Trenton and Allesandro must learn to share if they ever hope of making Preston someone permanent in their lives.
In The Housekeeper, Trevor has been in love with Richard for almost as long as he's worked as Richard's housekeeper, although Richard barely sees him. While Richard is sulking from Preston's rejection, it brings the two closer together until an incident happens that pushes Richard back to his normal self and back to ignoring Trevor. It takes Trevor getting attacked by low level vampires and then quitting before Richard realizes everything that he's lost.
I really liked all three stories and loved the fact that they interlock. All the characters are very easy to like, even when they act like bastards. While there is no sex in this entire book, there is a bit of kissing and petting but the three stories are so short that you won't even miss the sex because the story drags you in anyway.
If you're looking for something cute, short and sweet, this is definitely something you should pick up. Recommended. [image error](less)

I was left with a few unanswered questions (view spoiler)[What happens to the kyrie Rapheal? There was a big argument about him but what happened to him after he was scared off?
