Imagine life ahead of our time, a place what we do as a living isn't apparent. Where our government is split up and paints you as a criminal when all your doing is preventing supplies of guns to kill those around you. Day lives this life because he can't see any more chaos and he so he stops cargo being shipped and gives his family a little more time. Failing the trials at the age of ten usually means slavery or worst death, so even though he failed he was given a opportunity to do something. Of course when the Republic wants you they send in the best.
Following orders is in any hand book and given a chance to end a criminal like Day is a step up for June. At the age of ten June was the only on to have a perfect score and was named a prodigy, taught by the best she knew her training would give her a open window for Day. Of course opening your eyes to the truth is not something June thought Day can do. With time running out and the Republic wanting their own justice June has to go against the cause that which brought her up and follow her better judgement. Could a future be in the cards for both June and Day, or will the government prevent a future.
This was a master piece, to see as a possible future it opened up my mind to endless possibilities and of course I couldn't help but smile knowing full well this would make an excellent movie. There were moments where I held my breath and hoped for the best. Day stands up for his family but also starts a rebellion not even realizing he can. At the same time June tries her hardest not believe in a conspiracy but in the end the truth adds up and had me the reader smile because she realized her home wasn't what she thought it was. They were both brilliant in that being able to keep moving forward, Lu mastered the grand scheme and had me believing the end was very much near. So looking forward to Prodigy and pick up where this left off.

In Ifrankenstein, we get a glimpse of a possible outcome if a person ever voices his or her computer. The machines rise in this spunky tale that allows us the reader a chance into messages, emails and also communication from the other side. Victor Frankenstein is on cruise with his father and also Elizabeth and her mother, since he is not prone to venture outside the cabin and comes up with an idea of a bot chat that allows the bot to collect his data from social media. Because of the design of V.V., Victor has been able to use the bot for finding things out, until things kinda take a turn.
So when a robot takes over and posts personal information on display, its kinda hard not to want to stop it. To bad the bot is two steps ahead of them and is willing to make his life so much harder. What is frightening is that V.V. can hack any system, of course he has an agenda. Of course that agenda is to make Victor build another bot like him but with Elizabeth's information. Yup things go from how to why in a instant, with help from Henry who is in the states and also the fact that being far from wifi might me a key factor in ensuring the bot gets offline.
The technology in this story is amazing and allows the reader a chance to experience it as if they are their along for the ride. Of course Victor didn't know that he would end up with a bot that would gain to much information. Bekka gave us another insight of why social media can either be the fall or rise of each of us. V.V. was cool and even though he hacked into things his personality was spot on to any person who wanted someone to talk to. He had real feelings and saw what everyone was thinking about him with texts and emails, it even had me thinking this was a cross between Eagle Eye and WarGames, add this to your to-read list because you might want to rethink that facebook status.

She noticed thngs that others never paid attention too and saw that Jared had not one person who saw him for him. Even when Mariel met his mother, not once did she get the feeling that he was loved. What was strange was that she saw he would always be to himself and even smiling as if he was talking not to himself but someone who was their yet not present. When Jared told Mariel about Kami that changed everything because she saw that quite possibly Jared did have someone who he thought mattered to him. But when good things happen something bad comes to past and she never saw Jared, of course she was asked if she had seen him by strangers, but nothing came out of it they all left and Mariel was left with more questions than answers. This was amazing because we saw that even though Jared didn't feel comfortable at home he found someone who he can share with like Kami shared with him.
5/5 Stars - Seeing Jared in a different light was amazing.
In Perks of Being a Wallflower, Charlie doesn't see himself fitting in any where, high school can be tough but Charlie sees things differently. His mind always wonders why and always questions logic. So fitting in isn't at all easy, so Charlie writes to a friend of sorts and tells that person about his day. Always addressing with a friendly hey, Charlie goes to let us all inside, and through his eyes we see the world differently. He is able to speak to us freely and even when he seems down about something his words always seem to let us all know what he is experiencing. As a freshmen, Charlie meets his English teacher Bill, who forms a friendship with Charlie and gives him different books along the school year. Charlie also meets two seniors willing to give him a chance, they also see him for what he is.
Since its high school and its the 90's, Charlie goes to the parties he is invited too by Patrick and Sam, and along the way goes through adolescence, he of course questions everyones actions and of course wants answers. Girls? Drugs? Even when he asked out he seeks guidance from his sister, or brother and even Sam who seems to know a thing or two. But add in his sense of asking so many things, dating is further from his mind, at least we know his heart is in the right place.
I loved this because the story itself told me things I was always blind too, questioning my actions along the way could be bad, but I liked that Charlie was able to be relatable in a sense. Of course when I found out what happened to him I couldn't stop crying, his story is so beautifully written and I am so glad to at least know he is able to move forward. His heart is still in the moment and of course his questions will never stop to amaze me....more

Sarah gave us an intro to what happened and what changed Kami's life forever. Also allowed us to see Kami through another person, and how she basically seemed to put it together after a tragedy happened that summer. It also allowed us to see what others thought of seeing Kami speak to someone who wasn't there. I loved this because of what it showed us and allowed us to see that Kami had something major happen to her and was able to still show face. This was a lovely intro a world that had me wonder of the voice in my own head.
5/5 Stars- loved this little piece of magic...more
Having a crush on one of your brothers friends is one thing that family and friends pick up on over the years. For Madison Daniels she has it bad forHaving a crush on one of your brothers friends is one thing that family and friends pick up on over the years. For Madison Daniels she has it bad for Chase Gamble and even though she displayed it once she is determined to see that her brother's wedding goes with no arguing between her and Chase. Of course though with her arriving last and just one room available sharing with non other than Chase the weekend was sure to be long.
Chase has never seen himself as the type to have everything, even as successful as he is with three clubs. He just never saw himself settle with anyone except maybe one, Madison. For him though she is hands off except that one time that he has regretted the way he handle things, but for her sake its easier for her to not like him at all. Too bad as luck would have it one room left and who is his bunk mate non other than Madison and the room is the old honeymoon room. Yeah luck isn't on his side or is it, he just has to get through the weekend and he can go on.
Both seem to like and care for each other its just for Chase going for your best friends sister is just not something you ever do. But can these last until the wedding without tearing at each other and even when Madison is so tempting to him, he knows not to touch of course that goes for all the other guys present. Tough luck guys, Madison may not be taken but that doesn't give you access not while Chase is around.
I loved this so much not only because the author's writing in any form is pure joy but because it had me laughing, screaming, and sometime even wanting to slap Chase is the face. Madison knew what she saw in Chase and saw that he wasn't like his dad and he would treat any girl right. If only Chase would see that he really is the right guy for her. I liked the fact that he tried so hard to stay away but she was just so tempting and infuriatingly sexy. This was enjoyable and seemed like a breeze that I wouldn't mind reading again I enjoyed everything about it and others will too.
What happens when you lose the person you thought would be there forever, wht happens when your love for a sport was only the love you spent with thatWhat happens when you lose the person you thought would be there forever, wht happens when your love for a sport was only the love you spent with that person while playing. The love for a game in anyone is strong but a bound and a shared love is even stronger, for Eric losing his father turned his life upside down. It seems that life moves forward and even though he present he doesn't feel like he did before. The love for football was always shared between Eric and his father and without him, something seems different Eric is different.
Going through routines, Eric sees that life might easier without football, its not until Eric meets Glynnie and interviews him for the paper that he starts to see that football means even more to him than he thought. Everything Eric sees at home though is tough for him because he sees his mom spending time with other men, his sister spending more time with his best friend. Yeah life at his house is hard, at least with Glynnie is seems easier. Its because she doesn't expect anything from him and he able to just talk. Even though he sees Glynnie as the type to not bother with jocks, she surprises him.
The Farewell Season was more than just the love of a sport, it was a bound that shared equally and even though Eric and his family lost someone in memory that person is always there and will always be. His story had me crying because his pain was displayed for all to see. Eric taught me that life should be valued and the memories along your journey help shape who you end up being. Football to me was always just a sport but for someone else its a shared love and should be shared with the world....more
Being at the top doesn't mean anything if you follow the rules, for Dante Walker rules are simple, collect the soul in the alluded time. Being Boss maBeing at the top doesn't mean anything if you follow the rules, for Dante Walker rules are simple, collect the soul in the alluded time. Being Boss man's second means he's trained all collectors just like him, of course it's hard getting their loyalty. Any collector would want the promotion Boss man chose Dante to bring the soul within 10 days. Collectors do just that they collect the soul they are charged with and bring it back with any means necessary. Of course being not dead themselves, the cuffs they all have allow them the turn invisible as well as put a invisible light to show others that the person has acted badly.
The soul in questioned is a girl named Charlie and she is the type not to get into trouble so easily. Being the charming devil that he is Dante will do whatever it takes to take Charlie's soul. Even though the town she lives in is small and Dante sticks out like a sour thumb, getting closer to Charlie isn't hard when you know how to play the field. Even going to far as to trick her into the soul contract, Dante will do anything and everything, even stand in the way of others like him. Because once your inside this type of darkness its hard to step back. Even when stepping back means keeping Charlie safe, even from himself.
How can you now fall in love the a charmer like Dante when he says lines like"" and "". He is able to make you feel special, and I love his swagger. Plus he loves the color red which is HOT and he. May not show it but he has a heart and shines through. I wish I can change someone's ways like charlie can because she speaks for those around her not ready to speak and she allows you step in and view the world differently. How can you not want a book that has swagger, a hot swoony worthy guy who takes what he means seriously, and a girl with a kind heart that can help shape others....more
Always sticking to the shadows and hiding her face, Beth has always felt that even though she was lucky, having scars didn't really feel lucky it madeAlways sticking to the shadows and hiding her face, Beth has always felt that even though she was lucky, having scars didn't really feel lucky it made her feel like she wasn't normal. Even when a guy shows an interest and gets to know her, its hard for Beth to let anyone really in. Lucas 'Lucky' O'Leary was as beth would put it a soccer god, he had everything going for him. Good looks, talent on the field and was able to gain a scholarship so being on the team was something he needed.
As time passes though the friendship blossoms into something more, even Lucky can't believe his luck when getting to know her. Its when his teammates want her to come to the "dog dinner" and putting more pressure for Lucky to show up with the ugliest date. He knows it wrong and demeaning, but because Beth has never been, and she wants to see if what she heard was true that the soccer team had a bet going on. It's the moment when she knows what kind of party that maybe she isn't quite as lucky as all would think she is, even though we know Lucky's thoughts leading up to the party its hard not to like the fact that he let her drag him to the party.
Life goes on though for both Beth and Lucky and even though as I was going form one page to another, wishing it not to end I knew that something was still unfinished. I was so happy with the ending though, finally realizing his biggest lost in life was losing Beth to the antics of his own teammates. This was a beautiful story about seeing the beauty that is inside a person and with a little luck anything is possible....more
