Toby's appearance was very juvenile while his behavior was no longer a teenager not yet a man. Laurie was a man stuck in the rhythm of his life and he couldn't pull me in to the story any more than Toby could. The bdsm aspect was a dud and held no appeal.
For Real wasn't my kind of story nor my kind of bdsm.

Not only were there many couples returning in this novel with their romance and ties to one another but also a plot that balanced the lovey-dovey hapiness. The couples, their families, pack life, day-to-day moments, Nalini Singh engulfes the reader in all the good stuff from this series. The essence of why I connected to this series from the get go. Powerfull emotions, steep risks, bold moves and larger than life characters.
There are still dangers and evil doers in the world whom speak of plots to have the world change to their ways and rules. Nalini Singh gave us an over the top happily ever after and yet manages to set up a second story arc which contains intriguing possibilities.
I slowly savored this story, trying not to go gluttonous on the happiness, but with Allegiance Of Honor that is a hard thing to do. This novel is a must read for one and all whom feel a part of this world and lives every time you crack the spine of a Psy-Changeling novel!

Passion and Mark indulge themselves with each other, igniting a heat that scorches them to the core. Just for once Passion wants to answer the call of her body, Mark is just fascinated by this lady whom holds his interest with her sensual nature. They embrace this erotic adventure and each time they meet it is the heart that answers to the call of their bodies.
Still evil lurks on the horizon with blackmail and the threat of a scandal. Mark and Passion stand divided by their heart and their duty which may very well destroy the blossoming feelings of a true love not easily found in their world.
Literally from the first page Lisa Valdez captured my attention as Mark Rudolph Hawkmore seduces Passion Elizabeth Dare behind a screen with his voice whispering words of passion and his body that acts upon them. It is a raw and wild need that drives Mark and Passion together and the intensity never wavers for one second and made me want to finish this story within one sitting. Regardless whom called, rang the doorbell or needed me in any shape, form or fashion, I wasn't going to answer. Mark is a man whom is brutally honest, on the brink of being a crude, but it still makes Mark all the more appealing and I just had to find out what kind of woman could lay such a claim to a man and if Passion would be that woman. All of this pulled me into their world and page after page I devoured this story like Mark devoured Passion, with utter want and need, focusing on the one person that brought pleasure.
And that it did bring for me....pleasure, this Regency novel is one of outstanding quality and proved to me to be quite the reading experience moreover with its compelling secondary characters it screams for other stories to be told! I think I've felt a range of emotions with various characters, from delighted pleasure to love and compassion, from anger to utter hate, it all coursed through me as Lisa Valdez created such a cast of vivid characters they could do no other than evoke such strong emotions with me. With bold and straight forward language this author gives it to you all and with various words that are frequently used I like to warn that this is something not all readers might appreciate! I on the other hand was never bothered by it and Mark with Grace would truly never be the same if it was written any different.
Mark and Passion take center stage in such a powerful love story and they created it, it is their attraction towards one another that is so vibrant, so full of passion and evidently clear as I read on. Passion is strong and does her name justice as her very nature is passionate, she's all I want to find in a heroine and a joy to read for me. The circumstances which demand certain choices of the main couple is one that reverberates long after you close this book and those two selfish women make almost any mother or mother-in-law look like a guardian angel. For such an intense, all consuming love it probably requires such characters because they enhance each other so and it gives this tale its impact!
The author created a seductive mix of unforgettable characters, scorching passionate scenes, heart rendering love, when Mark realizes his love for Passion, my heart just went out to him. It is with mere words that Lisa Valdez conjured up a heart touching scene of a man bereft of his love, his only love and is facing a future without it. There isn't much that I didn't like and the few times I did raise my eyebrows it was over minor things that evaporated in the presence of such a compelling love story and it will be a personal thing above anything else. I truly believe no one can read this story and not want to talk about it.
An author such as Lisa Valdez shapes the Historical genre she is writing in and for me she will be one of the authors that blazes a renewed passion in my heart for it!

I was surprised, €3,49 for a 600+ page novel was cheap in my opinion.
When I started reading I was instantly drawn into the world of Josephine and Jake. I loved the small town setting and the 'everyone knows everybody attitude'. What I also noticed was the elaborate descriptions, especially about clothes, make-up and looks. It dragged the story for me and while it was an aspect of Kristen Ashley's writing it created a push-pull effect. She pulled me in with personable characters but she pushed me away with descriptive writing which slowed down the story considerably.
Jake is my kind of male; honest, gruff and rough around the edges, sexy and a family man. Josephine is uptight with the vocabulary to match but also with a generous and warm heart. Her past delivered some internal conflict while there was also some external conflict, enough to keep the story going.
Jake and Josephine together, that was where THE WILL delivered for me. I loved their chemistry, their banter and the day-to-day conversations. Their romance was a slow-burn but when their romance reached inferno temperatures it singed the pages!
Conner, Amber and Ethan give the adult romance a different kind of flavor I enjoyed. Humor, day-to-day stuff, teenage drama, I liked it all. Problems arised and were solved a little too easy for me.
Even though THE WILL didn't knock me off my feet, I was still warmed by the story. Like I was slowly sipping on a warm cup of chocolate; each character made me feel home in Magdelene and the romance was felt in all the right places of my heart.
I definitely want to return to Magdelene and its inhabitants.

He is a mystery, wild, one-of-a-kind and very honest in his interactions with those around him. Naasir is the kind of character I will never forget. But this is not unusual is the Guild Hunter series. Nalini Singh has a gift for making her characters come alive with personalities whom you can't wait to return too.
I had a blast watching Naasir court his mate. A vow keeping him from doing what he wanted to do to Andromeda from the start...to bite. They evoke a myriad of emotions between themselves and I have enjoyed their romance from start to finish. Naasir stirred this story to greater heights, it's his humor, his unique way of life which kept me spellbound.
Another thing that gains more momentum with each story in this series is the overall plot. It keeps getting more dangerous, more exciting and the suspense at certain moments was nail-biting good.
Again in ARCHANGEL'S ENIGMA, Raphael en Elena play a formidable supporting role. And then there are Illium and Aodhan, they have me, hook, line and sinker. Whatever is going on between them I want more of it.
In a beautiful but dangerous world where a powerplay struggle between Archangel's is happening, love still finds a way. I inhaled this story from start to finish in one day. The characters wouldn't let me go...for me it doesn't get better than that!

Their dialogues fuAn incomparable romantic story that I've inhaled from start to finish. The chemistry between Ashwini and Janvier is off the charts. Their dialogues full of banter and passion.
The character development of Ashwini is heartbreaking but beautiful at the same time. It brings a plethora of emotions that connected me to the main couple and affected me on every level I want as a reader.
There is a very strong cast of secondary characters. Elena and Raphael, Dmitri and Honor and Naasir, who tickles my curiosity in all the good ways. They all make the world Nalini Singh has created come alive for me.
The plotline effortlessly upping the ante, it fueles the romance and I love it when I get to hate the enemy and have me rooting for their defeat or capture.
From the get-go this series has been a hit after hit for me in various degrees. I love to enter the Guild Hunter world with all its larger-than-life characters, and side-by-side go on all these journey's and adventures with them. The romance, the suspense and the worldbuilding is and excuisite blend for any reader of the genre. Nalini Singh has hit her stride and then some in the paranormal genre.

All the aspects of the story fits together to give me a spectacular read. What I absolutely adored in The Player was Dmitri's character development, he got under my skin so fast and made me understand why Vice was falling so hard for him. And then there was the plot, I love it when an author can give me a big 180 plotwise. Love the 'gasp' and 'wtf' moments!
I think the Game Maker series has something for every reader of the erotic romance genre. Characters to fall in love with; romance, humor, emotional depth, suspense and toe curling eroticism! Each story has its unique blend which makes me one happy reader who celebrates Kresley Cole's forray in to this genre!...more

The Slayer was a wild ride of emotions and about an insane chemistry between Chuito and Alaine. It was wild and passionate, forbidden and dangerous, endearing and tender. I just inhaled their developping romance.
Tino and Nova are very strongly present secondary characters and while I love them both for their fierce and loyal temperament, it's Nova who has my heart and soul as a reader. They both bring another layer of suspense to the story with their maffia involvement and their unfolding backstory is very intruiging! The verbal sparring between Chuito, Tino and Nova made me laugh on more than one occasion while they also move to the core with their ingrained loyalty and love for one another.
The Slayer is a blend of no holds barred romance, suspense and a spine tingeling hot attraction between the leading couple. The Slayer hit my happy spot as a reader and now I can't wait for The Enforcer!
