Wow. There's truly no other word I can use when thinking about Roman Crazy. Want to know why? Because it was damn good...not just good but damn good! You know how there's those books that you just know you're going to love from the very first page? Yeah, that's how I felt as soon as I started reading. I texted my book buddies and told them to be on the lookout for a sexy and funny book coming out.
The story starts off with Avery finding her husband in a compromising position with a woman that isn't her! So she does what any scorned woman would do - so goes abroad to a foreign country where her best friend, Daisy, lives. When Avery arrives, she's in for a HUGE surprise when at her welcoming party, Marcello is there. Marcello is the man she spent four wonderful months with when she went to study abroad and then left when she went back to the states. Never to hear from again.
Now it's almost a decade later, and there he is. As beautiful as ever and pissed as shit. He has a good reason though. It's there that I think Clayton and Bocci capture in the most beautiful way, the connection and undeniable chemistry Avery and Marcello feel for each other. It was so intense that it kept me in high spirits throughout the day. It practically jumped out of the pages.
My only "issue" (if you can call it that) was the fact that I felt like things seemed so rushed. On one hand they hadn't seen each other in years then they start hanging out as if no time passed and Avery didn't disappoint Marcello and pick someone else over him. And yes, I get it, that may be the point. To show us that amazing chemistry and pull the two have for one another. I guess I just wanted some more angst!
Not that it doesn't already have enough angst as is. Overall, I'm in love with the book, the beautiful descriptions, and I have a new book boyfriend! Marcello is on point and freaking perfection. Readers, don't wait to read this wickedly sexy book. It's one that's an instant classic.

Colleen has such a way with words that you can't help but feel like you're part of her story. I remember the first booked I ever picked up by her backColleen has such a way with words that you can't help but feel like you're part of her story. I remember the first booked I ever picked up by her back in 2011, Slammed. I had no idea what to expect, no idea what the book was about...all I knew was that I kind of liked the cover. It was different and not at all flashy. Which is weird since I totally judge books by their covers.
I fell in love with Lakin and Will. After the second book came out, I was hooked. Obviously. But when Hopeless came out, I couldn't bring myself to read it because I had such HIGH expectations after reading Slammed. I shouldn't have had any doubt, she killed it. It's been that way ever since, with each and every book. This woman is amazing, and it shows through her stories.
That being said... I think Colleen broke me in way she never has before. Come to think of it, I don't think any book has done this to me, ever. Congrats, Colleen! You've broken me and I don't even hate you for it. There's not much I can say guys. Except read the book, because it's one that needs to be read. Anything I say will be a spoiler...
So just listen to me and read. Going in blind is very smart!...more
