Ty Marton IS not even playing around when he says this is a BDSM story, and don’t for one second think he doesn’t know what he’s talking about within the pages of this book either, because the man sure does know his business. This story is not for those who don’t care for real BDSM reads. TY, I’m almost sure lives the lifestyle, so he brings to the table this book, this story through the eyes and mind of pure knowledge. This is how it is for many of the people who live in the lifestyle.
So, in saying that, this is a story about a young man named Charlie, he just turns eighteen at the start of the story and his gift to himself is finally getting into the BDSM club that he’s been begging to get into for quite some time. He knows he belongs behind those closed doors that he peeks into as often as he can and he’s even come to know quite a few of the members there.
He finally gets his wish and once its known that its his birthday, he is headed to the stage for his birthday spanking by the Dom’s. He is in heaven, he has his dream fulfilled. And once they all have their turn spanking him, they each tell him they want him to leave with them and he must choose which Dom to go with.
Here is where this story is unlike any other story you’ve read in a long time. YOU, the reader get to pick what Charlie does. There are links in the PDF that you select which course of action Charlie will take and this happens throughout the story. You make the choices, you get to tell him what to do and you even have the option at times to back out of his choices. It truly is a genius story that I had the pleasure of reading and I went through each and every scenario. Some were intense, let me tell you.
If you enjoy BDSM, at its true core, and also having control over the characters actions, I highly recommend this one.
Please note. I use the Nook Color and had to convert the PDF over to Epub, so the links within the book didn’t work for me, I had to end up reading it on my computer but it was still very enjoyable. (less)

I have to say that this story really grabbed me and took me on a journey that I’m sure can really happen and it just may happen and how are we to know if it is? CJ Black brings the paranormal aspect to the forefront of this story and somehow or another manages to make her readers fall hopelessly in love with all or most of the characters within the story.
Demetrius Jordan is not human, not by any stretch of the imagination, in fact the man or um…being that he is, was described as something that is not of this world, he calls himself an incubus. Now, things not of this world must inhibit a body to roam freely around and live it’s life and this certain entity takes the body of an English man who was killed outside of his bar, some years before. Demetrius is old, very very old in fact that he was on the Titanic and has seen countless historic events and he even met Albert Einstein. That’ll give you an idea but of course not in this same body. Now, throughout his existence he’s kept a diary and somehow or another his diary or journal as he calls it, comes up missing and he traces it back to Myles.
Myles Bryce owns a small shop that carries various items from books to crystal knick knacks. He also shares this shop with a family of ghosts and he’s great with that fact. He often communicates with a young girl who died when she was thirteen and for the most part he’s happy with his life. He doesn’t have a boyfriend, but he has a sister and he’s an uncle, so he feels at peace with himself. Most of the time. One thing I want to point out is that Myles isn’t just an average human either. He possess some sort of power, just as his sister does, who is in fact a lot more powerful than he is.
When Myles meets Demetrius for the first time he is literally breathless by the other man and before you know it, D, as I’ll call him, has Myles bent over the counter in the shop and really going it and Myles is as powerless to stop what’s going on as a deer caught up in the headlights. He describes it as if the other man takes over his body and mind and can’t stop what’s happening. Not that he wants to. When he’s able to think again, after a rather awesome sex scene he realizes that he’s fully dressed and the man who asked for his journal and was told no, is still on the other side of the counter, fully dressed with a smirk on his face. However, the state of Myles and his pants tells a whole different story. Something went on with the two of them and Myles has no clue. Not even the powers he has is enough to push the other man away from him.
As the story goes on we learn that each man has these powers, Myles is able to defend himself, protect himself with his powers that are described as blue strings of some sort. D, his are red, and when they make love, and let me tell you, their love scenes are hot as hell, the strands blend but not only that, D almost like needs Myles blue powers if I can call them that. He like drinks them up and they give him strength often leaving Myles wore out to the point of exhaustion.
Now, D, he’s really a great man, he calls Myles his Baby Boy and generally if a writer’s character has nicknames for their love interests it can be overused to the point where you sometimes roll your eyes going, OMG if he says that one more time I’m going to scream, but not here with these two because D, all he wants to do is take care of Myles.
This journal that Myles now has possession of apparently is a hot commodity not only to D but to D’s enemy as well and I have no clear idea what the hell that thing is but the fight scene at the end is just wow. This journal has a spell written in it that will more or less kill off all of D’s kind, slowly and painfully and the two must come together to stop that from happening.
I do encourage you to read this story and when you do, pay very close attention to what you’re reading because you can get lost. There is a lot of hot sex between the two main characters but I found each time they did, was hotter than the last. I devoured every word in this story and I am not sitting here thinking I’d like to see more of them. (less)

Ink is a short fast moving story about young Cade Tomlin who has, since childhood, loved the idea of pictures on his skin. As he grew older he knew without a shadow of a doubt that he would not only receive tattoo’s but he wanted to be the one giving them. He wanted to hold that tattoo gun in his talented hand and create art. However, finding a job in a reputable shop wasn’t easy for him seeing as how he lived in a small town.
Once he was old enough he moved to a bigger town, applied at all the shops he could as an apprentice and finally landed his first job under the watchful eye of a skillful artist who took to Cade and taught him everything there was to teach him for thirteen months.
When client Kip Parker shows up for his first tattoo, Cade takes an interest in the man being tattooed, not only for his choice of a tattoo, but for the man himself. When the man leaves Cade finds himself thinking of the other man and then they meet up again when Kip shows up again wanting another tattoo and requesting Cade to do it. Cade hasn’t been released as an apprentice yet…Until he’s turned loose and given the go ahead to tat Kip at Kip’s request.
It’s a sweet story about a young man who sets out to fulfill his dreams and finding love too.

He’s adorable, he’s sweet, and he’s so lost it’s scary. I say that because there he was on a date with a woman, and one he liked a lot until she wanted to kiss him. Oh did she get angry and boy did he find himself in a state of confusion. He knew then that he “must” be gay because though he liked women, he didn’t want them sexually. Seth works as a body trainer at a gym and he realizes that he finds more interest in the men and all they have to offer by way of looks and such, than a woman. Period.
So, since he has no one to talk to about this newfound awareness of himself he decides to head to a local gay bar to ask questions, however this isn’t a typical bar. It’s a BDSM club. OYE. So, I’m reading the story and thinking. Wait. He just discovers he “may” be gay and he goes to a BDSM club for advice. Okay, let’s see how this works out for him.
Thankfully for him he manages to end up in the capable hands of the owner of the club Rio Knight and that dear sweet Dom does not steer the unsure man in the wrong direction. The only question I have here though is this. Just finding out that Seth is gay, does Seth also know he’s a sub at heart? I just don’t understand why he went to a BDSM club to ask questions. Anyway, he meets Rio and Rio is described as an Adonis and a big one at that. Rio answers the questions Seth has very calmly and then introduces him to Matt who is a Dom and who is looking for his own sub and the fact that Seth is a virgin by every sense of the word, Rio just knows this is a perfect set up.
Matt is a good guy, professes love rather quickly, but this is a short book, so it’s to be expected. He’s somewhat of a talker as well and at one point I wanted to slap him silly. Promise the new sub the world and then disappear for a week! The nerve. Well, we find out why and we also find two men who grow together as a couple, and as a Dom/sub.
It’s a cute light BDSM read, nothing in it rough. So, if you don’t care for BDSM due to some of the power play that goes on within those stories, I think this one is gentle enough for you to learn a bit and enjoy as well. (less)

Gloucester is a sub without a Master and Katashi is a Master without a sub. They meet one evening after a ceremony and agree to have tea together. Katashi is a Master yes, but he seems to be so much more than that. He’s deep into his lineage and the history of his people and Gloucester is simply overtaken with a sense of peace around the man.
Due to the shortness of the story, it’s hard to get into detail without giving key things away so let me just say that IF you are looking for BDSM as in bondage, discipline…anything there, you want to skip this one. This has more to do with the frame of mind and how listening to the voice of a Master can truly bring you to the brink if not the very area many subs seek. (less)

Okay, I’m not a cowboy, I’ve never been on a cattle drive and really I don’t plan on it but that doesn’t mean I don’t find the stories of cowboys and what they do on the range boring. Not by any means of the imagination. The title: Riding Drag caught my eye when the request came in because at one time in my life I rode and trained my own horses. That being said, I never did a cattle drive so I wasn’t sure what Riding Drag meant, so I had to look it up and this is what it says: “Riding drag means you ride last and eat dust, it comes from the cattle driving.” In other words the last man and horse on the drive. Now, take it from me…riding and training horses in AZ…riding anywhere but the front is horrible when you’re in the desert so I immediately feel this instant liking to Drew who is the Drag rider. Poor guy.
So, we have Sam and Drew, they both work on the same ranch and are also lovers who are working their tails off trying to save money to buy their own ranch as partners. Naturally they must hide their attraction to one another, as being a gay cowboy is a big no. Now, Drew also breaks horses and there’s this scene the author wrote that is from Sam’s POV and what he’s thinking and how he’s feeling, and doesn’t miss a detail during that whole horse breaking ride. It’s what comes after that things really seem to heat up.
Drew and Sam are I think in the or a bunkhouse and they are kissing and such and in walks another of the ranch hands and yes, they get caught. Well, Drew takes things in hand and threatens the other man who threatens them, tries to make Sam, who is the foreman of the men on the ranch and cattle drives, give him a lead position. Well, that didn’t go over well, bribery never does. That evening Drew goes out to a bar and Sam stays behind, and then Drew shows up at the ranch sometime later to find Sam by the lake and Sam finds out Drew beat the other man up in the alley of the bar they were at. Wow, Sam blows a gasket and they fight and head out on the cattle drive.
Okay, so Sam is the lead man, he’s up front, and his men are scattered here and there driving the cows to a different pasture, when suddenly a stampede of sorts breaks out and Sam the nemesis to Sam and Drew is actually thrown from his horse and in danger of being stampeded to death. Sam struggles with himself for several seconds before taking action.
However, this is where the story sorta just fell for me. Drew, since the get go was the hot head, he is the risk taker, he’s the one who needed Sam’s calmness to keep him in line but at this point in the story it was as if the characters switched roles. Instead of it being Sam upset over something hot headed Drew did, it was Drew who totally lost it over Sam’s hesitation on the drive to save their nemesis life. Sam was the one who kept Drew cool and calm. Drew is the one who beat up the other man yet he was furious with Sam over a stuttered thought. To me, it was as if the characters flip flopped and the story no longer had the intense fire between the men.
Overall it was a good story but IMO the characters sorta just fell flat for me. I will add the sex is good, and the ending was too as it ended in a HEA. However, this is just my opinion. Check it out and see for yourself. (less)

This is a cute shifter story about Ray, a clothing designer for dogs, and Doc, a new dog he is to “dress” up to help make him more adoptable before his time is up on this earth. Well, Ray’s sister brings the dog to him and Ray instantly decides to keep the dog and then he finds out the dog is a shifter, just like he is and sparks start. We have a city dweller and a country boy, and one who never shifted and the other who does it as often as he can.
Doc “runs away” only to be caught again by Ray’s sister and finally Ray gives in and agrees to go run with Doc, as the shifters they are. Ray was adopted so he never knew how to shift and since he lived in the city, he surpressed the urges to do so, that is until he met Doc.
It’s an enjoyable read by Julia. All I can say is:Cute. (less)

The main character Colt Samuel is rich, very rich and what he wants he gets. It just so happens that he acquired an exquisite portrait of a man who at one time owned the home Colt inherits in London, his name Lord Alexander Swift. Well, a biography of sorts was done on the Lord and ends abruptly when the Lord disappeared one day never to be seen or heard from again. Apparently he disappeared when he was in his wine cellar and though speculation had it that he ran off with his lover to America. However, there wasn’t any proof he ever made it and Colt decides to investigate this. What he can’t understand is how he manages to fall in love with the man in the portrait and how he becomes obsessed with finding out what happened to him.
Well, he took a flashlight with him to the darkened cellar and guess what that turns out to be? A time travel portal. In that he meets none other than Lord Alexander himself. What I found so much fun was seeing how a modern day man would behave in historic London and Colt did a wonderful job holding himself in check with the cheeky snobs in that era. He and Alexander fall in love almost from the start and the sweetness with how Colt treats him is just so adorable. Colt is a smart money man and a hell of a lover as well and Alexander is his from the start. They are just adorable together. Colt wants to bring the Lord back with him to the 21st century, as he does not want to lose him, and he knows staying in 1775 London can easily lead to his or their death because sodomy at that time was a crime. During their last night in London in the year of 1775 they go out as cousins and one unfortunate event threatens their plans to escape to modern day London.
What I really loved reading was seeing how the men adjusted to each other’s era’s. I had a good giggle with Lord Alex quite a few times. I can just see him sitting so proper and speaking perfectly and there we have Colt who is as kicked back as I am. What a team.
Overall a cute read, not a complicated twisty plot at all. I do believe if you need something sweet with a tiny bit of angst this one will be good for you.(less)

This is the second book in the Spirits of Abaddon series and I have to say that Mychael has done a brilliant job with these characters and their story line. The plot line got deeper, the characters came more alive, in ways I never thought would happen to be honest. If you recall in the first book Jesse was this average man who was taken with Gabriel no matter how much he didn’t want it to be. It did and now in this story he and Gabriel find themselves in a hell of a mess as Jesse was infected with bad blood more or less and is changing. It’s up to Gabriel to “save” him or find a way to. Gabriel takes Jesse to him world of Abaddon and come to find out that Lazarus and his lover Semoriel are there as well to try and find out who is out to destroy Abaddon. Sadly there’s a traitor in the group and things can go very badly for the team.
I don’t know if Mychael plans a third part to this story but the ending to this one was awesome!! I love Mychael’s writing, the plots, the characters, and the sex is just one step hotter than hot. (less)

When they put a call out for a short story, that’s what they mean. They want something with under so many words. They do this for their own reasons and I applaud an author who can actually write a story given only so many words to do it in. And not only that, create a story with full fleshed characters, well described background scenery, and add secondary characters without going overboard in word count, and still deliver a great plot driven story. I have to applaud Mychael for doing just that.
In this third installment we get to know the Alpha Marcus Deleon. And he’s the one who is responsible for all the were’s and such under him. One wrong move, one wrong word can destroy his whole pack and I believe this is why he keeps “enforcers” so close by. He can’t do this alone, not against the vampires that are out to kill this whole pack, including the were children that Dalton has managed to kidnap.
It is that one act that brings one of Dalton’s own vampires to the forefront as he takes the necessary steps against Gray and takes a were child, who he was ordered to kill, back to her pack, back to Marcus. Now, you can just imagine what sort of hell he can into for doing that kind act. He’s basically stepping into a lion’s den without so much as a knife. But Marcus is so much more than Dalton and he sees the vampire for who he is, inside, not what he is.
There is a confrontation in this story with the were’s and vamps and I have to say, Mychael nailed it, again in so few words. I saw no holes, I did see well fleshed characters and great description. (less)
