From the first book we have followed Emily down a scary road of battling her evil ancestor the Druid priestess Merhia, we thought it was over with in the second book but nope, Merhia is still demanding on getting her revenge.
Ultimate Sacrifice is another edge of your seat read. My only downside was the use of the child Abby, I just can’t hack a child being used by any evil spirit. Other than that the story was great, it held my attention in many ways. I loved the characters and I loved that I got to follow Emily from teen to adult. I also have to give kudos to the author because Emily is very young when this series started out so the author had to write this character as she grew. I think she did an awesome job because you can really tell the changes in her character in each book.
This time around Emily finds out a lot more about the past of her Auntie when Skye offers to put Auntie Em under hypnosis. I’ll just say this hypnosis gives a lot of insight and it really ties everything together. As things unravel from the past things are starting to heat up as Marhia, is yet again preparing to stake claim to Jonathan. I recommend this series to anyone who loves a good edge of your seat thriller with the addition of paranormal.
A good ending for a great trilogy. Copy provided by author in exchanged for an honest review. (less)

The characters are fun, and the mystery and paranormal elements are very believable. This story has a lot going on, but the author is brilliant in her ability to keep it up beat and easy to understand. I love the way the mystery is opened up little by little. The setting is fantastic and the author adds touches to the story to make you feel like you are right there in the mist of the bakery watching the sisters.
This story is written in mostly Daisy’s POV. Daisy is a strong character, but when her mom left her at the age of three she find she sometimes feels no one wants her, so she has to work hard with that issue. Rachel and Margret are her sisters, you hear about them a lot in the story because they are with her just about every day. They are fun and they love Daisy as a sister and will do anything for her. This book has a touch of paranormal elements because of the ghost and a touch of romance due to the interaction between Daisy and Gordon, but you don’t read about any sex between them. You also get an excellent mystery. So I would defiantly classify this more of a paranormal mystery. There is no HEA so you have to wait to see what happens between Daisy, the ghost Shaun and Gordon in the next book. I believe it is set to be released this coming fall, so you won’t have long to wait.
I would recommend this to anyone who loves paranormal and mystery. I will give you a fair warning this book will make you want to run to the nearest bakery. LOL. There are also some recipes at the end of the book so that should help. (less)

I was somewhat fine reading this even though I was tired of hearing how Leeann thinks she is the prettiest girl in Dalton. I cant even tell you how many times she has said that before hitting page 30 grrr. Anyway she is very shallow ends up getting married to an older man named George only because his family is the riches in town and can get things for her. Well George is not a hunk he is more average guy that is rich and she ends up Prego by him and marrying him, then she ends up loosing the baby and gets to move in the biggest mansion in town its also suppose to be haunted, well it could very well be I just stopped reading before really finding out. So as I was saying George moves her in the house and she ends up sleeping with Donny so I had to quit reading. Most of you know I don’t like it when the hero sleeps around the same in turn with the heroine nope I just cant do it. I really think this book is suppose to be on the humor side, I just couldn’t see that. The thing that counts most to me and the reason I read is the romance and I didn’t find any between Leeann and George if I cant find a good connection, I cant finish the book. (less)

This is an excellent bone chilling thriller one that as I read I felt like I could be right there because the detail is so well written, lets just say don’t read this without a lot of light, I had goose bumps as I read. You’ll find a touch or horror, paranormal, suspense and mystery and I highly recommend this to anyone that reads any of them listed. You will also find. There are witches, ghost, a curse, reincarnation and revenge.
This is a romance story and there is some little flirty comments between Emily and Jonathan, but there is no real sex scene between them, there is mention of sex in dreams and past lives. Don’t let that discourage you from getting this book because their romance will grow in up coming books. I am one I need at least a few pages of a h/h going at it, but I didn’t miss it in this story, it was just to thrilling.
The author gives you plenty about this book on her website. Please check it out. So this is what I will tell you. When Emily first goes to England at the age of fourteen she finds herself in her aunt and uncles house in the attic with ghosts and the more she digs to find out who they are the more she finds people there just don’t want to talk about it. So Emily finds different ways to find out who the ghost are. Jonathan helps out some. You know how it goes someone tells you to stay out of the woods and guess what Emily does the opposite she goes in there to finds out more, so you know that didn’t go to well. Its when Emily comes back a few years later at the age of twenty that she finds out a whole lot more of what is going on and she also finds the one responsible for this sinister twisted ghostly tale is out for revenge and its Emily she is after.
I loved the characters the way the books flows its very easy to understand. I will add this book is part of a trilogy, so when it ends you know there is more to come. I cant wait to read the second book. (less)

This was a wonderful read. I have always loved humor, and this page turner hit my humor spot. I would recommend this book for those that loves a good mystery, adventure, humor and a wonderful cast of characters. This book also holds some paranormal aspects, but this is not a romance novel, so there is no HEA or sex.
This is a fun book about Lucy running her family match-making service for a couple of weeks. The thing is Lucy has a touch of physic in her. After she takes over for the first day she has a client that she really wants to help and when she touches him she sees a missing ring, the thing is its on a dead body. From here Lucy gets in deep and between running the match-making service, trying to solve the mystery of the ring and help the client, she also goes out to help a little boy. But wait that’s not all she also has sparks that starts up with a certain PI named Sean. Needless to say she has her hands full.
My favorite passage
Sean as he is putting the shovel back in the car he asks “What now ? Should we rob a bank or something to make our day complete?” Lucy “No need to be sarcastic” Sean “Forgive me, but I don’t dig up dead people everyday”(less)
