Earth has been studying a strange new planet named Eden. The space crew of the Taurus has been sent to be the first humans to set foot on this alien world. Sadly, the mission runs into troubles and Jenny, one of the crew is left behind after an emergency takeoff.
Stranded on an unfamiliar planet, Jenny is forced to rely on a seemingly savage Itor man for survival. Through their interactions respect blossoms and soon turns into love. Now, if only she could make her rescuers see this, things would be just fine.
I enjoyed this story immensely. The author took her time to really delve deep into the relationships of each of her characters. The blossoming love between Jenny and Fly was very well done and believable. The secondary characters felt unique and their animosity towards Jenny and Fly added a nice level of tension throughout the story.
All in all a wonderful read and a great cross-genre story. ...more
I won this book on a comment contest at Coffee Fueled Erotica, but it's not the first I've read from this talented author! I love Emma Hillman's CurveI won this book on a comment contest at Coffee Fueled Erotica, but it's not the first I've read from this talented author! I love Emma Hillman's Curve Happy series. It's so refreshing to read about voluptuous women having great sex.
Of course, that's not how things start out.
Let's face it, marriage is never a walk in the park. Once the romance is gone, life becomes very ordinary and routine, we tend to take our partners for granted. That's exactly what Simon does. When a little fight between him and his wife Reese blows up out of proportion, things are said that may never be taken back.
Just like in real life, it's the small thing that become the straw that breaks the camels back. Now Reese wants a divorce!
Simon's not letting go without a fight and he plans to use every weapon in his arsenal to win her back. He'll prove to his wife that he not only loves every inch of her curvaceous body, but he also adores her for all she's done in their relationship.
She handles their fight and resolution beautifully, mixing steamy sex with tender romantic gestures. I love Emma's use of flashbacks as well to show us the important progression in their relationship and why Simon calls on specific knowledge of his wife's "likes" as he quests to win back his her affection.
This story is a perfect "warm up" before bed. It will make you want to grab your significant other and have a little makeup sex of your own.
I can't wait to read more from Emma Hillman!...more
Sometimes sex can be so addicting you just can’t resist. It could very well lead to your ruin. Luther Prescott is a man with everything one could wantSometimes sex can be so addicting you just can’t resist. It could very well lead to your ruin. Luther Prescott is a man with everything one could want. Everything that is, except a little excitement.
And that is where Opal comes in. She represents what he’s been missing. Their attraction is fast and strong. Soon they find it hard to stop. But they should stop their little affair.
The question is, can they?
Legend says, if you can go three days without the thing you are addicted to, you can break the cycle.
A weekend holed up in a hotel room proves quite a challenge and make for a very interesting read.
Willsin Rowe delivers a story filled with some very hot and steamy scenes that will make you blush at times. I highly recommend to any one who enjoys a good, sexy read. ...more

Royal Blood is a story that picks you up right from the beginning and won’t let you stop. I read this wonderful novella in one sitting!
Right from the beginning Ms. Topel introduces you to the life and trouble surrounding Christina. Haunted by disturbing nightmares and strange circumstances, she is forced to take a second look at the life she thought she had. Everything from her parents to her boyfriend is called into question as she learns the truth about what and who she is.
In this book, Ms. Topel takes a new stance on vamps introducing her own breed into the mix. In her world vampires can have unique and terrible abilities. She also introduces a half-breed mix of vampire and human. I really enjoyed her explanation of how things work but for the sake of leaving some mystery to the book I will let you read and find out for your self.
In the end, Christina must make some very hard decisions as the final climactic battle commences. I loved how the character admits that “Nobody ever promised her a happy ending.”
She leaves the story open for more adventures and I for one look forward to seeing what else she has in store for us. ...more

I knew I was going to enjoy Cara Mia right from the start. Denise Verrico’s novel has style, intrigue, and some interesting twist that will keep you turning page after page.
The book opens with a distraught Mia, cast out by her master, near death, and left to wander the cold streets of New York looking for sustenance and a place to hide from the sun.
When next we meet Mia, it seems she has truly hit rock bottom. But not all is as it seems. Though she is held, seemingly against her will, in a prison-like cell of a lab, there is more to discover.
Told mainly in flashback, Mia’s history slowly unravels, plunging us into the world of the Immortyl’s. That’s right Immortyl with a y.
These aren’t the creatures we are used to seeing. They are flesh and blood with beating hearts and a strange condition, a genetic alteration of sorts, that makes them stand apart from the standard creature of the night.
With her new take on Vampires she not only shows us what they are, but takes us into a new society. Sadly, women are seen as no more than property and decorations. Mia, however, strives to be more. Through her struggles, Mia proves time and time again that she can hold her own and is so much more than a pretty little thing to be owned. And, as her tale moves forward, toward the present, you will see just how much more she is.
It was a thrilling read that kept me glued to the pages. I cannot wait to see more from this author. ...more

Lilyana Makay is a bit OCD and introverted to the max. She would rather spend her days sitting and reading books than interacting with other human beings. The only people she can really stand to be around are her sister and the twins. The author does a great job of really nailing down this character. Even in the narrative voice, you can really feel how much Lilyana desperately wants to be left alone. She enjoys her peaceful and structured existence. But that wouldn’t make for much of a story, now would it? Of course not. That’s just getting to know the character. And once you are firmly rooted in this character it becomes even more enjoyable to watch her ordered world, flip on its side! The author did a wonderful job really putting this character through the paces.
So, Lilyana’s perfect, albeit somewhat boring, life gets shaken up by the introduction of Jason Caurns. He’s not only one of her favorite authors, but an available bachelor too. Despite her need to be a loner, she’s drawn to him, as if fate is telling them to be together. For the first time in her life, though she tries very hard to fight it, Lilyana finds someone who she could see herself spending the rest of her life with.
Ah, But fate is always a fickle friend and one never knows what its real purpose is. Jason’s entrance into her life is also the catalyst for the ultimate change yet to come. The moment Jason is introduced, things begin happening. Their very first outing, an innocent motorcycle ride in the desert turns deadly when a snake bite, sends Lilyana to the hospital. While she’s there she begins to have what she thinks are hallucinogenic dreams of another world—a world that is waiting for her to save it. Only these aren’t dreams. As she and Jason work out the truth, Lilyana learns fates plan. From that moment on Lilyana is split: torn between revelations that she is the long awaited goddess who can save the land of Makayra, and the new love she’s found with Jason.
Without spoiling the rest of it for you, I have to say, the ending was not predictable at all. Kudos to the author there! That’s pretty hard to do these days. I did find myself angry when I got to the last page, though. Not because I didn’t like the story, far from it, I loved it. I was mad because it left me with such a cliffhanger; I needed there to be more. That says quite a lot for the author that she made me so emotionally invested in the characters in such a short time. Needless to say, I’ll definitely be adding book two to my TBR list when it comes out. ...more

Dante's personality is not the cold unfeeling one that Lucan was given in the first book. He, though still a warrior is a more palatable Alpha male character.
