I felt like McKenzie was too quick to forgive West and to jump in bed with especially with how badly he treated her in the past. I thought that West was never truly sorry for what he did. He felt bad but I never really believed his reasoning for wanting McKenzie to forgive him.
I honestly think that this would have been better had there been more time to develop West and McKenzie's story. It just felt so rushed to me and at times I felt like there were things that I was missing. I would have enjoyed this so much more if we would have been able to see their relationship grow and develop. It just seemed like one moment McKenzie is crying her eyes out over everything and the next scene she's in bed with West. Just seemed rushed. (less)

I'm not a fan of cheating or affairs so going into this I was a bit hesitant. Honestly, even when I was at the half way point I wasn't sure of my feelings. While I really enjoyed the authors voice some of the things happening in the book or being alluding to were making me uncomfortable. Plus I really wanted to know the "big secret". Let me tell you that Black Lies ended up blowing my mind. SERIOUSLY!
I really ended up liking this one a lot. It had some twists and turns that I did not see coming. It's funny because prior to reading this I saw someone else write in a review that you just can't put Black Lies down, that you'll keep telling yourself "okay, one more chapter" and it it totally true. I read this in one sitting through the night last night and the whole time I just kept telling myself "just one more chapter and then I'm going to bed." Yeah, that totally didn't happen. I gobble this one up.
I don't want to go into detail because I don't want to give anything away, but I will say that I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was hot, sexy and all sorts of mind twisty. I highly recommend this and I'm looking forward to reading more from this author in the future. (less)

I loved the chemistry between Zach and Moira. Not only were they hot together but I just liked watching them interact with one another.
I loved the premise of Uncivilized. It's not your normal story and I liked that a lot. It actually felt very refreshing to read.
I am definitely looking forward to reading more from Sawyer Bennett. (less)

Seriously, they don't call her the queen of dirty talk for nothing and believe me, she doesn't hold back in this one. It's funny because even though all of her heroes are dirty talkers each one is so completely different from the others that it doesn't get old like you think it would. I've come to crave Tessa's books and her heroes because no one and I mean NO ONE can write a dirty talking hero that is believable and sexy the way she can.
Owned by Fate is another winner that I just couldn't put it down. It was everything I've come to expect from Tessa Bailey but so much more. It was hot and sexy but also deep and emotional. The connection between Caroline and Jonah was written so well. I loved these two together. They just clicked and I loved watching these two come together and realize their feelings.
I won't lie, Caroline kind of annoyed me at times and I found her a bit too judgmental in the beginning. I kept wanting to yell at her to open her eyes and stop fighting her feelings. By the end I grew to like her and liked that she learned to finally stick up for herself and the ones that she cares about.
As for sexy Jonah, oy! but I really liked him. He's fierce, sexy and caring. I love that he's honest and straight up with Caroline. Not only that, but patient. No matter how harsh she is in her judgement of her he continues to try to open her eyes. I found him to be perfect for her.
Owned by Fate is yet another winner from Tessa Bailey and you are fool if you don't pick this one up. Seriously, you won't want to miss this one. (less)

Both characters are supposed to be 22 yet I never felt like I was reading about 22 year olds. Both seemed way older. I felt like I was reading a story with characters in their late 20's.
I also think that the storyline was a bit over the top and it didn't feel genuine. Things just happened too easily for these too despite all of the hurdles they needed to jump. Honestly, I would have preferred the suspense plot to be cut. I feel like it was a bit all over the place and I would have rather have focused on Erin and Zander reconnecting and getting to know each other once more.
I think there was great chemistry between Erin and Zander and they were definitely hot together. I do wish they maybe would have talked a bit more so we could have gotten to know them some more but I did really enjoy these two.
All in all, the book was okay. I managed to read it pretty quickly as it left me wanting more Erin and Zander. (less)

Seriously, this book was amazingly phenomenal and I'm so glad that I picked it up. It was awesome and I had to tear myself away from my Kindle once I started reading it. Once I picked it up I was transfixed and had the hardest time putting it down. The chemistry and the sparks between Drew and Anna were instantaneous and jumped off of the page.
I loved these two together and they are definitely one of my favorite couples that I've read this year. They just seemed genuine and I loved watching these two together. I know I already mentioned this but they had great chemistry. I was rooting for these two from the first page. It takes talent to be able to hook me that quickly and I tell you, I was hooked from page one. Drew and Anna had heat, they were funny and what I liked most is that they were smart. They weren't your typical cookie cutter NA characters.
Another thing that I loved about The Hook Up is that it felt like a complete story. It's not a quick telling of these two falling in love. Nope. We get to see their highs and lows. We get to see them grow both as a couple and as individuals. The Hook Up is longer than your typical NA but the pages just seemed to fly by. You become so engrossed in this world that Kristen Callihan has created.
I picked this up on a whim and I'm so glad I did because it has easily become one of my favorite reads of 2014. I've been in a book funk for the last few weeks and this definitely pulled me out. I only wish I didn't have to wait so long for the next book because I definitely can't wait to see what's in store for everyone. I highly recommend this one!(less)

Trapped is a very realistic story and hits close to home for me. While I wasn't knocked up and left by my boyfriend I did grow up with a non-existent father. Most of the time I was reading this I just kept picturing my mother in the place of Paige which is all kinds of awkward.
With that being said, I found Trapped to be an eye opening type of read. It didn't come across as a romance to me but more like a real life story and I think that was one of the issues that I had with it. I just wanted something more from it though I'm not totally sure what "it" is.
