I was surprised by how much I liked this book and when I say liked I really mean loved. I loved this book. It was so good and I just couldn't put it down. Looking at the cover I thought I was going to be reading something light and cheery, but that was definitely not the case. This book was deep and filled with so much emotion.
Several years ago Evie and Logan spent one passion filled week together that left a lasting impression on both. Neither has been able to get over what happened between them even though they both went their separate ways to live their lives. Now their paths have crossed again and both try to act like nothing serious occurred between them. The passion between Evie and Logan is apparent to everyone around them. Both continue to deny their feelings but before long neither are able to keep their hands and mouths off one another.
When Logan and Evie spent that one week together, it scared Logan to death. The passion and heat between them was explosive and brought out a side of Logan that he was afraid of. Evie just gave in too easily to his demands and his need to dominate her freaked him out. When Evie is accidentally hurt during one of their interludes, it's a wake up call to Logan. He sees himself becoming like his father who was abusive to him and his mother and he is terrified. So he makes the decision to walk away from Evie and all of the feelings and emotions she brings out in him.
Seeing Evie again brings back all of the feelings and emotions that Logan had long ago buried. Logan would like nothing more to be with Evie but he just doesn't do relationships. He keeps himself closed off from everyone and no one really knows the real Logan, not even his family.
I loved the relationship between these two. It was hot, explosive and in your face. Yet at the same time it was sweet and tender. The way that these two were able to grow and learn from one another was great to see. They both have such a strong bond and I love that Evie was patient and strong enough to stick with Logan and help him conquer his demons.
This was such an amazing book filled with so much love and passion. I definitely can't wait to read more from this author.

I loved the chemistry between the hero and heroine and I thought the build up to everything was great. This is a definite rec and I'm itching to read more from this author. (less)
AMAZING! I could not put this book down. It was everything I was hoping for and more. Lara Adrian definitely doesn't disappoint. I love the direction the series is going in and I can't wait to read more. Love, love, LOVED it.
I admit I was a bit skeptical about this book. Twenty years is a big time jump and I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about little Mira all of sudden being a adult and trying to obtain her HEA. I shouldn't have worried because this book was amazing.
The pain and heartache that Mira experiences with losing Kellan makes my heart hurt. You feel her pain and even though it's been eight years since his death, she still isn't over the loss. She lays the blame for the death of Kellan at the door of rebel fighters. She is convinced it's their fault that Kellan was killed in a warehouse fire eight years ago. It's because of her hatred of the rebels that gets her in trouble and subsequently gets her pulled from active duty. When a chance encounter brings her face to face with the only man she's ever loved and whom she thought was dead, she proceeds to question everything she's ever known or believe about.
Kellan has always loved Mira wholeheartedly and wanted nothing but to love her and keep her safe by his side. But when he looks into her eyes and sees a glimpse of their future together, one that doesn't end with a happy ending, he knows in his heart he will do anything he can to protect her. So he leaves and fakes his death in order to keep her safe. Yet, he's never been able to keep himself far away from her. She owns his heart and soul and he'll never be complete without Mira by his side.
Oh how my heart ached while reading this book. There is just so much raw emotion between Mira and Kellan. Your heart breaks for them and you want nothing more than for them to get their long awaited HEA. The love these two feel for one another is raw, intense and in your face. As a reader, you never doubt the love they have for one another for a second.
What I love about this book and actually the series as a whole is that it's not predictable and the characters aren't cookie cutter. With this book there are so many twist and turns that I didn't even see coming. Lara Adrian keeps me on my toes and I love that. In my opinion Edge of Dawn is the best in the series and I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to see what next for this series. (less)
I couldn't put this book down, it was so good. I love the way the author blending the past and the present. The chemistry between Cole and Kate was explosive and I found myself rooting for them for the entire book. I'm so glad these two got their long awaited HEA.
Seriously, this book was so good. The raw emotion you feel from the characters is so in your face and it leaves you wanting more. I found myself unable to turn away from my kindle because I was so engrossed with what was happening.
Cole is sexy and it breaks your heart to see him struggle to do what he believes is right. All he is wants is to do right by Katie and it breaks your heart to see this man struggle with how deep his feelings truly are towards Katie and the way his life takes a downward spiral when she subsequently leaves him. I never expected his feelings to be so strong and so deep.
Katie has known since she was eight that she would marry Cole. It was the mantra she said into her pillow each night. The older she got the stronger her feelings became and all that much more difficult it was to hide them. When she finally makes her move it's met with everything she always wanted then followed by devastating results which led to her moving away to college.
Now she's back and all of the feelings she thought she buried and left in the past have come rushing back to the surface. She's aware of his every breath and move and she's finding it hard to keep all of her repressed feelings to herself. Will these two somehow be able to work past all of their issues with each other and find a way to finally make it work?
Oh my goodness these two had me in a emotional wreck. I just couldn't take it. I just wanted them to find a way to get past everything and just when I thought things were bad enough, the author throws me a curve ball I never saw coming. This book is truly amazing and I can't wait to read more.
Romancing the Holiday is an anthology comprised of three different novellas.
We'll Be Home for Christmas - HelenKay Dimon 4 stars
Months ago Lila and Spence, who she knows as Austin spent a steamy and sex filled three days together locked in a hotel room. Afterwards, both parted never expecting to see each other again. But like most romance novels, that pretty much goes out the window pretty quickly.
Down on her luck, Lila is attempting to start her life over and plans to fix up and run her uncle's old RV/Campground in West Virginia. The first order of business when Lila arrives is to head into town and pick up the order her uncle left for her at the nursery. When Lila arrives she is introduced to Austin Thomas, one of the owners of the nursery. Also, the man with whom she supposedly had spent the three nights in the hotel with a few months ago, only this is not the same man. Yes, his name is the same but he isn't the same. As Lila is confessing everything to Austin in hopes of trying to figure out just what the hell is going on Spence walks in.
Spence has always felt bad about deceiving Lila, but doesn't regret the time they spent together. If he were being completely honest, he regrets that their time spent together was so short as he hasn't been able to stop thinking about their time together. Feeling horrible for his deception as well as wanting to spend time with Lila, Spence offers to help her with the renovation to the campground.
Slowly but surely these two begin to work out their issues and come to a truce to start over. Quickly the chemistry between these two is becoming more and more apparent and both are finding it hard to resit one another.
I really enjoyed this story and loved the connection between Lila and Spence. Both are completely attracted to one another and I thought some of their scenes together were pretty hot. I really enjoyed HelenKay's writing and am looking forward to reading more from her.
Ask Her at Christmas - Christi Barth 3 stars
Caitlin has been in love with her best friend Kyle for years. When Kyle proposes to Caitlin her heart stops and she can't breath. Kyle has never even hinted that her feelings might be reciprocated and now that he's proposing it's a total shock. Just as she's about to come back around Kyle reveals that it was just a test and that he was just practicing for when he proposes to his girlfriend Monica.
Kyle might not love Monica and they might not get along as well as he and Caitlin do, but it's what his father wants and Kyle is determined to do whatever he can to make him proud, even if that means marrying someone he doesn't love. Kyle knows that he wants to propose to Monica and he wants it to be special, so he enlists Caitlin's help in the task.
I have mixed feelings about this story. While I'm a huge fan of friends to lovers tropes, I feel like something was missing from this one. I would have liked to have seen more romance between Kyle and Caitlin. I just didn't feel like there was enough and I just didn't really believe in their HEA.
The Best Thing - Jaci Burton 5 stars
Tori Lewis and Brody Kent have always had a combative relationship with each other until several months ago when they shared a heated kiss. Ever since then, Tori has been withdrawn and snappy. Not wanting to jeopardize her job at Kent Construction or her relationship with the Kent family, she brushed it off and has since stopped speaking to Brody. Tori has always had a secret crush on Brody but he has a reputation as a manwhore and she definitely doesn't want to risk everything she's worked for just to be his girl of the week.
Brody doesn't know what came over him when he kissed Tori but he doesn't regret it at all. What he regrets is the way things have gone down since the kiss. He's has tried on numerous occasions to talk to Tori about what happened to explains things but Tori just won't listen. Brody knows that he has a reputation for being a manwhore but how can he explain to Tori that he wants more from her than to just one night.
This story was by far my favorite of the anthology. I thought there was so much chemistry and heat between Tori and Brody. Not only did I enjoy Tori and Brody, but I loved everyone else I was introduced to. I loved the camaraderie and the relationships we saw with everyone else.
I found this anthology highly enjoyable and I definitely recommend it. Each story was entertaining and sweet and made me want to read more. If you are looking for a great holiday inspired read, than this anthology is the way to go.
Naughty and Nice is book comprised of three different novellas.
Room at the Inn - Ruthie Knox
Carson Vance has been running from his life in Potter Falls for the last sixteen years. Carson has always wanted more from life than the small town could provide. He works for the State Department and is constantly on the move, never settling down for more than a few months at a time. When Carson is called home to take care of his ailing father he must face all the people he left behind, including the person that once meant the most to him, Julie Long.
No matter how much time passes Julie somehow always finds herself caught in Carson Vance's web. She just can't deny the chemistry between them or how sexy he is. But every time she gets caught up he breaks her heart when he chooses to leave. This time Julie is bound to guard her heart and her emotions. If she ignores him maybe her feelings will subside and she will finally be able to move on. Ignoring him is harder than she expected when every time she turns around he's there being helpful and nice and lets not forget unbelievably sexy.
The more time these two spend together the harder they are both finding it to keep their hands to themselves. Julie doesn't want to have to deal with another broken heart when Carson leaves, because let's face it he is going to leave. Carson is finding that it harder to resist his feelings for Julie. He knows he shouldn't act upon his feelings because he's leaving but there is just something about her that has always drawn him in. But is it enough to keep Carson from leaving Potter Falls again?
I loved this this story. It was just so good. The chemistry and heat between Carson and Julie is explosive. Even though these two haven't seen each other for several years the heat between them is intense and you are sitting there waiting to see who is going to be the first one to give into the temptation. I found myself on the edge of my seat in anticipation. After reading this story by Ruthie Knox I am definitely eager for more.
All I Want For Christmas is You - Molly O'Keefe
In two days not only will Maddy be turning eighteen, but she will also be walking down the aisle. Billy and Maddy love each other unconditionally and want nothing more than to be together, but before they can walk down the aisle Billy and Maddy need to break the news to her parents. Things go awry when her parents reaction is completely different from what was expected.
Yes, this novella falls on the shorter side, but for me it was great seeing the beginning of Billy and Maddy's relationship. I loved seeing just how much in love they are with one another and all of the struggles they overcome just to be together.
One Perfect Christmas - Stefanie Sloane
I enjoyed this novella but admit that I felt like something was missing.
Seven months ago Lucas and Jane shared a kiss. Afterwards, Lucas realized his true feelings towards Jane and fled to Scotland. Now he has returned with hopes of telling Jane his true feelings.
I would have liked to have seen more interaction between Lucas and Jane. I never felt the connection between the two of them. Both claimed to love one another but it just felt like something was missing between them, mainly chemistry. Perhaps if the story was longer I would have been able to get a better read on them as a couple but as it is now, it just felt like something was missing.
Overall, I enjoyed the first two stories of this anthology immensely. Both had great characters and plots that were interesting and left me wanting more. I thought they these two stories meshed well together. As for the third story, I just didn't feel like it belonged in this anthology. It just felt out of place with the other two.
Let me just say I love the Lucky Harbor series by Jill Shalvis. Yes, I've actually only read the most recent released ones but I love the series none the less. With Under the Mistletoe I was introduced to a bunch of new characters (which are actually old characters) and I loved them. It definitely made me want to read the first set of books all that much more. What I appreciate though, is that even though I haven't read the first books I didn't feel overwhelmed or lost. I was still able to get a great feel for the characters.
All Mia wanted was to spend Christmas surrounded by the people she loves most, her family and her boyfriend Nick. Now she's nursing a broken heart back home in Lucky Harbor. Nick admits he handled things wrongly with Mia and now that she's gone he will do everything in his power to get her back. Even if it means having to venture to Lucky Harbor and beg her forgiveness in front of her entire family.
Even with a little bit of words, Miz Shalvis was able to weave a story with a beginning, middle and end. I just LOVED Nick and Mia together and thought that their relationship was so sweet. If you are a fan of the Lucky Harbor series or someone looking for a quick Christmas read, Under the Mistletoe is definitely worth picking up.
I don't even know where to begin with this book. First I will say that prior to reading Touch of Steel, I had not read anything in the Steampunk genre before. Secondly, why haven't I? Yeah, I loved this book. For real. I love the mix of modern with historical. Kate Cross created a world that felt real to me. Not only did she create this wonderful fantastical world, but she created a group of characters that I was really taken with and I found myself on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen with everyone.
Claire Brooks is a spy on a mission. She is out to kill the man that she feels is responsible for the death of her beloved brother Robert. She almost succeeds when she is injured and then captured by the Wardens, a rival spy group. When she makes a deal with the Wardens that she will give up any secrets of the Company's (the spy group she works for) in exchange for her release to enact vengeance on her brother, she is in turn placed into the custody of Alistair Payne one of the Wardens top spies.
Alistair wants nothing to do with Claire Brooks. There is something about her he doesn't trust. He knows she is hiding something and he's bound to find out what it is. Yet, he made a promise that he would escort her to find the man responsible not only for the death of her brother, but the man responsible for his best friend Lucas's memory loss. Even though Alistair and Claire dislike each other immensely both can't help but find the other attractive. Though beyond a small kiss, neither acts on the growing attraction.
Slowly but surely the farther along in their travels they get the harder they are finding it to resist one another. Both find that they really can't trust the other, especially in the case of Alistair with Claire. Alistair has been burned and deceived by women in his past so it's even harder for him to let Claire in. Yet, even though he can't really trust her he is quickly realizing that he just might not care.
As for Claire she's realizing the more time she spends with Alistair the more she is growing to like and appreciate him. In a different world he would be the man she would want to marry but here and now, with her future looking all but non existent, she knows that she must keep focused on her mission, you take down the man who killed her brother.
I can't say how much I enjoyed this book. The action, adventure, the romance, it was all so very good. Kate Cross crafted a winner with Touch of Steel and I very much it enjoyed it. I am eagerly awaiting the next book in her Clockwork Agents series. If it's half as good as Touch of Steel was I know I'm in for a treat.

The way it was brought up just seemed out of nowhere and I never got a sense that Cal and Gideon really had any feelings for one another. Yes, they both are in love with Jules but I never felt like there was an attraction between them. I feel like all Cal and Gideon did was talk about how much they loved Jules and found her sexy and Jules just talked about how sexy they were. Nothing really happens in the book and when we are presented with a chance for something to happen it's shown behind closed doors. Why? It just made me aggravated because I felt like the full focus of the book wasn't on the relationship between Cal, Gideon and Jules but rather the wedding between Adrian and Gillian. (less)
When I say this book is steamy, I definitely am not mincing words. I forgot just how sexy Emma Holly's books are. Oh my goodness this book is not safe for public reading. Beyond the sexiness of the book I really enjoyed the relationship between Zane, Trey and Rebecca. A lot of times books with a menage theme always seem to come off feeling a bit phony or not realistic, that definitely was not the case with The Billionaire Bad Boys Club. I found that I could not stop reading and it was so hard to put down. I fell in love with Zane and Trey and I just wanted them to somehow someway get their HEA.
To the world Zane and Trey are self made billionaire playboys that do everything together. No one knows the real truth, that they are bisexual men who are in a relationship with each other. Even though they are together they still have outside relationships with women. The one thing these two have never done is invite a woman into their relationship.
Sexy head chef Rebecca has not had an easy life. When she was just sixteen her mother died and soon after her father split leaving her to deal with her seven year old twin brothers. Rebecca quickly learned to never trust or have faith in men. Working to support her brothers through college she doesn't have the time or even any interest in a relationship. That all changes when she meets Trey and Zane.
When Rebecca meets Trey there is an instant connection between the two. Things heat up pretty quickly between the two. But not wanting to put her job in jeopardy, Rebecca backs off. A few days later while meeting up with her brothers Rebecca meets Zane and finds herself instantly attracted but after a few dates realizes that she could never trust him and decides to break things off.
When both Trey and Zane realize that they are both attracted to Rebecca and neither want to let her or one another go, they decide that maybe they should try a triad relationship. They have one week to convince Rebecca that a relationship between the three of them is really worth the risk.
Oh my goodness this book is so freakin' hot! Don't get me wrong, there is more going on here than smoking hot sex scenes. I really loved the relationship between everyone. Everyone has had a very rough past and needed to heal in their own ways. I loved that they were able to help heal one another and work through the pain of their pasts.
This was a great steamy read and I can't wait to get my hands on more from Emma Holly.(less)

Throughout the Sinner's on Tour series I've had been looking forward to reading Jace's story and Hot Ticket definitely did not disappoint. I think Jace is such a freaking cutie and I loved him and Aggie together.
I do have a few issues though. In the previous book (if you are going in order that would be Rock Hard) it seemed like Aggie was a no holds barred chick who doesn't put up with anyone's crap, especially not Jace's. As if she was the one holding all of the cards. That definitely was not the case. Don't get me wrong, with everyone else she's kickass and doesn't put up with anything, but not with Jace. I felt like Jace held all of the cards and at times she was too girly with him. Does that make sense? I just wanted her to be a bit more assertive when it came to Jace and their relationship.
As for Jace, he is such a cutie and I like him so much but his indecisiveness with Aggie was kind of annoying. One moment he wants her and can't get enough of her. Then in the next breath he's feeling smothered and wants her to go away. I could understand if this was at different times in the book but this would occur within the same paragraph. I just wanted him to make up his mind or actually voice his opinion about it.
I also thought the whole Kara issue was kind of brushed under the rug. In previous books it just seemed like it was something that was bothering Jace a whole lot more than it came across in his book. And when we do finally see him get the much needed closure he needed from it, it just seemed like that was it? I also wanted to see more from Jace's pov. It just seemed like most of the book was from Aggie's pov and I don't feel like I got to know Jace nearly as much as I know Aggie.
Don't get me wrong, I really liked this book. This is definitely one of my favorite series and I love the relationships between everyone. I think what I liked most about this book is that there wasn't a suspense sub-plot like in other books. Hot Ticket focuses on the relationships not only between Jace and Aggie, but everyone in the band.
As for the relationship between Jace and Aggie, those two were hot. Seriously. Also, there were a few scenes with some others that were en fuego. Let me just say, I can't wait to read Eric's book. I love him and he's definitely my favorite. Not only is he hilarious but he's damn sexy and I can't wait to see him in action.
Hot Ticket was yet another winner from Olivia Cunning and if you haven't read The Sinners on Tour series you are series missing out on some serious hot rockstars.
This was yet another enjoyable book by J. Lynn and I am seriously loving her Gamble Brother series. Oh my goodness by Chad Gamble is one sexy man and I really enjoyed his story. I thought that him and Bridget were great together and were definitely HOT!
Chad Gamble is known as a player both on the field and off. He likes to have a good time and is constant fodder for the tabloids. When Chad first lays eyes on Bridget he's instantly attracted. She's tall, curvy and damn sexy and Chad definitely wants to get to know her better so he quickly makes his move. There is an instant connection between the two and things get hot and heavy rather quickly. But once the sexual high wears off Bridget realizes that she's just another notch in his bedpost. It doesn't help that while Chad is in the other room he gets a text from one of his usual hookups who also happens to be a supermodel. Bridget quickly leaves without Chad knowing and doesn't speak of the encounter with anyone, especially not her friend Maddie who just happens to be dating Chad's brother Chase.
A month later while out to lunch with both Maddie and Chase things come to a head when Chad shows up. The is a connection between the two that everyone can see even though Bridget continuously tells Chad she's not attracted to him. Chad knows that she is lying. He can feel the chemistry between them and knows that Bridget wants him just as much as he wants her. So he decides to show her by kissing her and in the process of teaching Bridget a lesson both are caught in a compromising photo by the paparazzi. Chad's bosses tired of his playboy image issue him an ultimatum, he must clean up his playboy rep or loose his contract with the team. With the help of his overbearing publicist Chad must convince his bosses along with the public that he's a changed man, and to do this his publicist believes he needs a steady girlfriend. So his publicist convinces him to enter into a fake relationship with Bridget for one month. The only problem is convincing Bridget to play along.
Bridget wants no part of being in a fake relationship with Chad. It's wrong and her heart just couldn't take it. But regardless of her feelings on the matter, Chad's publicist blackmails Bridget unbeknownst to him. Bridget knows that it's only a month but the chemistry and attraction between them is so undeniable and she knows that if she gives into the temptation of sleeping with him she won't be able to walk away unscathed.
I loved the chemistry and the relationship between Chad and Bridget. They both have such a strong attraction to one another and the sparks between them are explosive. The chemistry between the two is HOT and some of the scenes between them will definitely leave you blushing. But besides the hot chemistry between the two I enjoy the romance between them both. They are both able to heal from their pasts and grow. Plus Chad is a really sweet man at heart and it was fun to see him like that.
As I said before, this is yet another great book from J. Lynn and I definitely can't wait to get my hands on Chandler's book. I just know it's going to be a good one.

To Hell and Back was another great story by Juliana Stone packed with lots of action and suspense. I love that even though it's a novella it's still packed with so much. Each page is full of so much info and story. My only complaint is that it's a novella. I am really loving the characters of Logan and Kira, much more so in this installment and I just want more time with them. It just seems that once I wrap my head around everything that is happening the story is over and I'm left with a bunch of unanswered questions. Don't get me wrong, this is definitely a good thing.
I remember when I read Wrong Side of Hell I wasn't completely sure of Logan and Kira's relationship and their true feelings towards one another. Oh my goodness, that was definitely not an issue in To Hell and Back. I was blown away with how much these two love and care for another. I love that both will do everything in their powers to keep the other safe. It's definitely sigh worthy.
Logan is everything that I love in a hero. He's passionate, caring and willing to do anything to keep his woman safe and happy. What's not to love about that? As for Kira, she has come a long way in such a short time. She is pretty kickass and I love her loyalty to Logan. Both characters are such a pleasure to read about. I find myself completely engrossed with their story and rooting for them to find the happiness that they deserve and want.
I really hope we get to see more of these two in the future because I really feel like their story isn't finished.
