All loose ends tied up. Is in three parts part 1 and 3 from Bella's point of view (as usual) but part 2 is from Jacobs. I thought this was different and very clever. It certainly changed the way i feel about and view Jacob. I didn't really like him because he caused so many problems for Bella and Edward but after this book i found myself really liking him :)...more

I waited so long to read this book and now it brings really mixed emotions in me and i must admit that i don't know exactly how i feel about it. Don't get me wrong I LOVED IT but there were still some moments where i wasn't sure. First off i knew Abe was Rose's father from the get go, there was just something about him that screamed that to be the case. I can certainly see where she gets her stubbornness and attitude, lol. Sydney was cool too, although i think i expected more of her in the book. I hope both she and Abe are in future books. Adrian really stepped up in this book and i absolutely loved seeing him be like he was. I'm still TEAM DIMITRI all the way, but i did soften towards Adrian slightly.
I really felt for Rose in this book and sometimes my heart just broke for her. It was so sad *sob* I felt she had changed and continued to change heaps as a character and i was really pleased when she got to meet Dimitri's family. I loved them! And Dimitri? Oh, Dimitri! He was bad and yet.... he was so good. I will admit that i did share Rose's feelings about him. He was/is evil (anyone can see that) but he seemed so much like his old self that at times i did forget what he was and found myself thinking of him as the old Dimitri everyone knew and loved. Then he'd do something or say something that was so evil and so unlike the old Dimitri that i was like...... crap, he's a Strigoi for crying out loud! Don't forget that. One thing i absolutely loved was in the end when Rose came back and her and Lissa made up. I'm glad to see that Lissa can understand what Rose felt for Dimitri and understands (slightly) why she did what she did. I'm happy to see that Lissa will go with Rose if and when she leaves again. I'm SOOOOOOO glad Rose didn't kill Dimka and i really hope against hope, that between her and Lissa they can find away to save him. I hope that this Robert guy is able to heel Dimitri somehow. Then maybe he and Rose can actually have a happy ending..... they deserve it. Now my finally note is that i CAN'T wait until Spirit Bound to be released. I think it's gonna be really interesting and as far as i'm concerned, next year ISN'T SOON ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!! ...more

After reading Hunted i was beginning to loose interest in this series, but Tempted has sparked my interest once again. When i began reading i was a little bit annoyed over the change in the way the book was set out. I didn't think i'd like having the chapters in various characters POV's (no longer just in Zoey's) but i did, i really did. I loved being able to get a first hand insight into the mind's of some of the other characters, like Stevie Rae, Stark and Aphrodite amongst others. I liked seeing what was going on in their lives also, and not just Zoey's. My fave bit in the whole book was the chapter that was in Aphrodite's POV. Having believed her to truly be a 'hag from hell' in the first couple of books, i can now honestly say she is my fave character. Each book has made me like her even more and now i really love her. She wasn't the person she was shown as in the first book, and i love how she's trying to make up for the horrible thing she's done. And come on, her and Darius are just too cute!!! Two things i think were excellent in this book were the imprint between Stevie Rae and Rephaim and the ending. I can't wait to see how the imprint between these two completely different people, who are supposed to be enemies, plays out. It's going to be very interesting. As for the ending, well lets just say i was shocked by it, especially Heaths' death. In the previous books i'd never been a big Heath fan. I'd found him annoying, however in this book i finally found myself warming up to him and i was disappointed when he died. Still, all in all i found this enjoyable to read. The ending left me hanging for Burned, and i can't wait to find out what happens next. ...more

Bianca and Lucas are still the same great characters they've always been and their journey is still as entertaining as it has always been. Once thing is especially enjoyed in this book was learning that Vic already knew about the world of vampires. He is one of my fave side characters and i think his friendship with Ranulf is really cute. Awesome twist with Bianca becoming a wraith. I can't wait to see how that impacts the storyline. Oh, and Lucas's death....wow! I'm looking forward to seeing just what happens when he rises. It's always been his worst nightmare to become a vampire, but can he rise above it? I looking forward to finding out..... Book 4, please come soon......more

I can't exactly say what it was that made me love this so much, but from the moment i started reading i was hooked. Zara was cool and 'spunky' and i loved how she really wanted to make a difference in the world. At the beginning of the book she was really destroyed by the death of her step-dad, but as the story progressed she got better. I found her really realistic and as a character she was awesome. Oh, and i really, really liked Nick *smiles sheepishly* I don't know, but there's just something so appealing to me about a cute, bad boy werewolf who'd never kissed a girl before. I adored the humor in this book, especially between Zara and Nick. I recommend this with my whole heart!! I LOVED IT!!!!!
Now, i'm desperate for the sequel. I CANNOT wait until it comes out.........more

Ahhhhhh!!!!!!!**** *sigh* Now that that’s out of the way, let’s move on.... That was incredible. Just incredible! I cannot believe all that went on in that book. Firstly, Dimitri was saved! Yes, yes, yes! I can’t be happier about that, I swear. I actually shrieked when I read Lissa had actually managed to restore his soul. Let’s face it- it’s what every VA fan has wanted since the end of Shadow Kiss. And I’m no exception. My heart breaks over the guilt he feels and I know he can’t take back the things he’s done, but surely he can move on. And what about him not wanting to be with Rose? I understand how bad knowing he’d hurt the person he loves most would be, but there is NO WAY I believe he no longer loves her. That’s an outright lie! You only have to read how he looks at her and how he was willing to fight a bunch of guardians for her. He aint fooling anybody! Oh, Rose. Dearest Rose..... WHAT ARE YOU DOING? She loves Dimka, that’s clear, but what about Adrian? I know her feelings are confused, especially knowing she does care about Adrian, but she is only going to make things harder on herself. And on Adrian if she does end up getting back with Dimitri. I believe Adrian does actually love her and his heart will break if they split. That being said, I wouldn’t be true to myself or honest if I didn’t say that even though I have a soft spot for Adrian, I’ll be cheering for Rose and Dimitri all the way to the very end. Lissa and Christian seemed to work things out, which was great to see. And many of the other awesome characters I love were back. Eddie, Abe, Mia, Rose’s Mum, Jill, even Sydney had a small cameo. It was soooo great to see them all again!
Now on to the shocks! How can they believe that Rose killed the Queen? It’s an exceptional twist in the story, but I do wonder who actually did kill her and why? Now that Rose is going to trial it’s gonna be up to Lissa and all her friends to save her and get her out of trouble. And Lissa has a sibling! Can you believe it? That totally blew me away, and I never saw it coming. I can’t wait to find out how that impacts the storyline. Even though it’s a surprise, I think a younger sis or bro would be good for Lissa. It means she’s not as alone as she’s always been.
I CANNOT WAIT to find out what happens in the final book. I’m sad that Last Sacrifice will be the end of the VA series, but I’m looking forward to what I know will be a gripping, explosive, heart racing conclusion. Now I just gotta wait until December. Seriously, it’s gonna kill me!!!

It was an idea i hadn't heard a hundred times before. They are essentially fallen angels and much of their history revolves around Lucifer and his fall. Really, if if weren't for the fact they drink blood, you wouldn't know they were vampires. The story wasn't bad, although sometimes i found it difficult to keep up with the understanding of how the vamps actually existed and why. Also the past lives confused me at times. However, i liked most of the characters. Schuyler, Oliver, Jack, Mimi, Bliss... they were all cool enough and i understood each charcaters role and importance within the story. I found that the story began to interest me more towards the end and i really loved the way it ended. It left me wanting to read the next book to discover how things with go for Schuyler in her quest to kill the siler blood....more

I loved it. The author’s done an incredible job. The story was gritty and raw, yet beautiful and sweet. I found the story to be both believable and realistic, while entertaining and captivating at the same time. This book showed us the harsh, dark role of gang members within their society. We catch a glimpse into their world through Alex’s eyes and their ideas of honour and family. And what it means to be a part of that. I really liked Brittany and Alex. They were two very different and yet somewhat similar people. Brittany was a very strong female lead. It may have seemed like she was the golden girl, with the perfect life and perfect world, but when we looked deeper and when she was willing to show things about herself to Alex, we saw that she was more than just a pretty face. What I found I loved about Alex the most, was that he saw things for how they really were. While he was part of a gang and while it was a necessity, he still understood that it wasn’t necessarily a good thing. And even though he portrayed the image to others that he was a hard-ass and didn’t care, he knew what being a gang member meant for him. And more importantly, what it didn’t mean......a future, a life free of violence and death. What I loved most about Brittany and Alex falling for one another was how it happened gradually, with each of them learning the others deepest secrets and coming to understand each other the way they did. Their relationship was beautiful and sweet. While they may seem like an unlikely pair, they appeared to connect with each other in a way that others hadn’t. And they saw each other in a way others didn’t. Even though things between them began due to Alex’s bet, it was wonderful to watch him actually begin to care for her and want to be respectful towards her. It was very sweet! I was sad to see Paco die. I really liked him. Other than Alex, he seemed like the only other gang member worth saving. However, I was happy with the ending of the book. I loved seeing Alex leave the gang and that old life behind him, choosing Brittany, and choosing to be a better person.
I loved this book, and I defiantly recommend it! ...more
