(view spoiler)[ After zooming through this and thumbing through a second time to piece together some thoughts, I've decided that everything is not as it seems at all. My interpretation is that Glory falls into a downward spiral after her mother's death and re-imagines herself as a piano prodigy - perhaps her mother was talented with the piano? That, or she would play Chopsticks all the time, which is why it seems to be the only thing Glory would play in her "downward spiral." At least, I agree with the other reviews saying that Frank is a creation. Heck, I feel like everything is a creation based upon Glory's grief for her mother and spinning what she knew about her into what we see in this book. (hide spoiler)]
I love novels where there's a lot of subtext going on, and in a story mainly told through photographs, all is not always as it seems. Easy to zip through in one sitting, but leaves a lot to ponder over.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>...more
