An Overview of the Novel: PJ has always wanted to prove to herself and her family that she was capable. When there is an old mansion up for grabs, she's ready to take it and turn her dreams of owning a B&B into a reality. She's not proud of all the decisions she's made, but she's going to succeed.
The only problem is that she's not the only one interested in the mansion. Cole wants to open a home to help kids transition from foster homes into independence.
But only one of them can get the house. In the end, they get a year trial. A year to see which one has better success. They are both living in the same mansion and neither is sure if it's big enough for the two of them, especially not with all the romantic tension between them.
But in the end somebody's dreams have to be broken and if they're not careful their hearts might just be broken too.
My Overall Thoughts/Impressions: In one word: adorable! Oh how I love Denise Hunter. This is the first book I've read by her, but I can promise you it will not be the last.
I loved PJ and Cole. PJ was so cute. She just felt so real. She had all these insecurities and all these quirks that I loved. PJ has to be one of my favorite characters ever.
And Cole was another knock-out character for me. I loved getting to know more about him and his past and watching his character develop. One thing is for sure and that is that Hunter is a master at characterization.
The story was cute and I loved the plotline. It tackled some deep issues but did it in a manner without being preachy or overbearing.
Hunter sure knows how to craft a romance that will leave you smiling. If you want to cozy up this Christmas season with a cute read, then The Wishing Season is a perfect read.
So why 4.5 stars? I absolutely adored it. There were a few parts that were slow so it's a 4.5 not a 5, but seriously I loved this one.
Can I read the series out of order? I did. I didn't feel at all lost. I could tell there was probably a backstory with some of the characters, but this one can easily be read as a stand-alone novel. I do plan on going back and reading the first two in the series, however. Warnings/Side-notes: None, perfectly clean.
The Wrap-up: Definitely am going to get my hands on another Hunter novel asap. I think I've fallen in love with her writing style, her characters, and everything about how she writes. Hunter easily has the makings to become a new favorite author for me.

Traci Hunter Abramson has done it again. Her “Saint Squad” series is nothing short of brilliant and the latest installment “Drop Zone” does not disappoint. This novel holds the perfect blend of romance and action to attract all readers.
“Drop Zone” is perfect for fans of the series or readers who want to jump into the series. For readers, who have read the entire series, this is a brilliant next chapter to the series. For those who haven’t read the previous books, this novel still promises a thrilling tale of adventure.
Abramson’s novel comes without the filth that can sometimes occupy novels. There is no swearing, no sexual references, and is suitable for readers of any age.
This novel is a fast-paced read that thrills from the very first page until the very last. Fans of suspense, romance, and action novels do not want to pass this one up. ...more

An Overview of the Novel: Ivy has seen things that nobody else should ever have to see. She is a member of the Order and as such is tasked with the responsibility of killing the fae. Disney got it wrong again. Not only are fairies not cute, they are lethal and feed off of humans to stay alive.
Ivy's spent her whole life fighting them, but one night she sees something new and different. Something that she can't explain. She meets something that isn't quite human and yet is not like all the other fae she's met before.
Then she meets Ren. Ren is the new guy and seems to have some of the answers she's looking for, but Ivy is convinced he's trouble and dangerous--dangerous to her heart and maybe just plain dangerous.
Forced to work together, they start unraveling the pieces one at a time hoping it's not too late to stop the fae.
My Overall Thoughts/Impressions: Okay so based off the cover I was expecting I don't know a mermaid story. I love the cover though, but yeah not a mermaid book. :)
I love Armentrout, hence why I stayed up literally all night reading this book. Yes, I guessed many parts of the ending, but that didn't lessen the appeal of this book. I adored it and flew through it.
I loved Ivy. She's so kick-butt and Ren was such an intriguing character. I loved the world that Armentrout created. It sucked me in from the beginning. And even though I've finished the book, I keep thinking about things that are going to happen in the sequel. I've imagined all these different scenes. Any book can do that is one of my favorites.
The novel is fast-paced. The romance is steamy, and the characters are incredibly well-crafted. In typical Armentrout fashion, she had me laughing out loud throughout the novel. This is a must-read novel for JLA fans, paranormal fans, new adult fans, and just readers in general.
An incredible read that comes highly recommended.
So why 4 stars? It was pure awesomeness. I love JLA and this one was no exception. I gave it a 4 because it was slightly predictable. Other than that I loved it.
Warnings/Side-notes: Several instances of strong language. Sexual content geared for 18+.
The Wrap-up: An adorable, kick-butt, fast-paced novel. When is the sequel coming out, oh yeah the spring/summer 2015. Don't think I can wait that long. Go buy this one, you won't regret it.

An overview of the Novel: Laura Griffin's life as a librarian might be boring, but her world gets turned upside down when her sixteen year old half-sister Darcy goes missing. Laura is terrified that Darcy will get in over her head on the streets and what could happen to her if she's not found and so she hires PI James Devlin to find her.
PI James Devlin has taken a lot of cases and has had a lot clients, but something about Laura gets under his skin and that's a risk he's not sure he's willing to take. He loved somebody before and that caused her everything, not too mention she's a client and strictly forbidden.
But as the two of them begin searching for Darcy, they find that her disappearance might just be more dangerous than they thought. They are racing against the clock to save her and time is running out.
My Overall Thoughts/Impressions: I have read every single suspense novel that Irene Hannon has ever published and have almost all of them on my bookshelf. To say I had high expectations for this book would be an understatement.
This one was probably one of my favorites that I have ever read by Hannon. Yes, Hannon's stories are pretty predictable in the fact that I also knew that there was going to be a romance between the PI and client.
However for me that didn't distract from how much I enjoyed the novel. It was fast-paced and I loved that we got insights from Darcy throughout the novel as well. This novel was full of suspense and intrigue and I absolutely adored it. This novel reminded me why Hannon is one of my favorite authors and about why she's always on the top of my to-buy list.
This is a novel that fans of romantic suspense will eat up. It comes highly recommended.
So why 5 stars? I thought it was absolutely brilliant. I just adored it. Perfect blend of suspense and romance.
Can I read the series out of order? Each novel is about somebody else. Yes, you can read it out of order. The people from the first novel are mentioned in the second, but you could read this one first without any problems.
The Wrap-up: Like I said absolutely brilliant. This novel is one of my favorites in the romantic suspense genre and will be sitting on my shelf soon enough. Hannon at her best.

An overview of the Novel: When Teresa's knee shattered so did her entire life and all of her dreams. Now, she's at the same college with her brother feeling restless and directionless.
The problem is that it is also the college where Jase goes. Jase is her brother's best friend and the guy she's always had a crush on. They even kissed once, but Jase seems all too happy to ignore her. She feels she's only setting herself up for another heartbreak.
Jase is attracted to Teresa, but there are a million reasons why he should ignore those feelings. The main two being that Teresa is his best friend's sister and the second is his past that's not something he's willing to share with anybody.
And yet Jase and Teresa keep being thrown together. Will they find the strength to accept their feelings for each other or will they end up walking away?
My Overall Thoughts/Impressions: I love Armentrout and I adored the first one in this series. I even reread the first one before reading this one.
I was so excited to get Jase and Teresa's story as I adored them in the first novel. Teresa and Jase were characters I loved from the beginning and loved even more as I watched them grow in the novel. I loved watching Teresa discovering herself and watching Jase start living in the present again.
I've read so many novels in this genre and Armentrout is still one of my favorite new adult authors, if not my favorite.
Her novels just have a voice and a depth that many novels in this genre seem to lack. I can't wait to read the rest in the series.
So why 4 stars? I loved it. It stood out to me and I would definitely reread it. It wasn't quite a 5, but it was amazing!
Can I read the series out of order? You can. The series follow different characters in each novel. I love the series and would recommend reading it in order, but you don't have to.
Warnings/Side-notes: For older teens, there are many refrences to sex and alcohol that are more detailed than is appropriate for young teens.
The Wrap-up: I adore this series. It's easily becoming a series that is automatically on my to-buy list. If you haven't read this series, go buy them. You won't regret it.

My Overall Thoughts/Impressions: A perfect finish to this thrilling series. I was actually sad to see this series end. I really came to love these characters and this world. I will be waiting oh so impatiently for Eason's next novel.
I love Christian romantic suspense and read a lot of it. Eason is one of the best. She is one of the few authors whose books I would buy without reading the blurb.
Her characters are brilliant, her ability to craft a suspense that keeps you on your toes is practically unparalleled, and her writing is simply addicting.
Fans of Henderson and Hannon will not want to miss this final book in the Deadly Reunions series. This series truly is incredible.
This last book was not my favorite in the series, but it was well-written and was a deeply satisfying finish to the series. I loved watching the romance and the suspense build.
So why 4 stars? Like I said, it wasn't my favorite in the series, but it was incredibly written and I absolutely adored it.
In Summary: Romantic suspense at its best.
Warnings/Side-notes: None, safe for readers of all ages.
The Wrap-up: Adore this series and really hope Eason writes something new really soon.

My Overall Thoughts/Impressions: Oh how I adored this novel! This was easily my favorite in the series. Serena Hopkins drew me in right form the get-go.
Eason crafted one of the best mysteries I've ever read in this one. It kept me guessing. I stayed up way too late reading it and then when I finished it I had to go back and reread some parts.
The mystery in this one will leave you breathless. I can't begin to describe how amazing this novel truly was. This right here is why Christian romantic suspense is my favorite genre. You have to give this one a try.
The characters are well-developed, the writing fast-paced and action packed, the blend between romance, faith, and mystery is at its perfeciton, and the plot will suck you in.
So why 5 stars? I absolutely loved everything about this book. I wouldn't change a thing and that's rare.
In Summary: Easily one of my favorite novels of all time. With this novel, Eason has moved to one of my favorite authors.
Warnings/Side-notes: None, safe for readers of all ages.
The Wrap-up: Needless to say I will be reading this novel again over and over. It was beautifully written. Seriously go out and read this book right now!

An Overview of the novel: Kayden and Jake have had romantic tension since the beginning, but Kayden has been desperately trying to protect her heart by convincing herself that Jake is a criminal. Then the truth comes to light and Kayden's not sure she can deny her feelings any longer.
Jake has scars in his past that are best left-alone. His wife and child died because of his mistakes. He's determined not to let that happen again. But when mystery strikes Yancey yet again with another murder, Jake and Kayden are pulled into the middle of the conflict.
Working together to solve the case, both are grappling with their emotions. But by the time they finally decide how they feel about each other, it might be just a little bit too late.
My Overall Thoughts/Impressions: Like I said, just when I don't think I can love this series any more than I already do. I've been waiting for this novel since the very first one that I read. Kayden and Jake are two very special characters whom I adore. Both are nursing wounds that they would rather keep secret.
I loved watching them grow. As always the writing was superb. I loved this mystery and am anxious to read the next one.
So why 4 stars? While I loved the characters, I wish that they would have been better developed. For that I give it a 4.
The Wrap-up: This series is one that is going to be on my bookshelf so I can read it again and again. Superb writing. Definitely recommend this one.

My OverallDisclaimers: I was asked to review this novel by the author. I have reviewed many books by Annie and even edited one of her novels before.
My Overall Thoughts/Impressions: I have never read a novel about necromancy so this was a first for me. Having read the synopsis, I wasn't sure that I would like it, but I love the author so I gave it a shot.
Annie Oldham's writing is beautiful, her characters well-developed. This book was intriguing and I did keep reading waiting to find out what happened next. It was one that I'm glad to have read.
However, like I mentioned the subject matter isn't one that I thought I would enjoy. Yet surprisingly, I enjoyed it more than I thought I would be.
Annie has never disappointed me so far and this latest novel was definitely no exception. This novel is one that I recommend.
So why 4 stars? The writing I give a 4. The subject matter isn't one I love so that I'd give a 3. However, I'll stick with a 4 because honestly, Annie is an incredible author so reading this novel was immensely enjoyable and I would read the sequel. If you like paranormal, then give this one a shot. It's only 99 cents on Amazon. Definitely worth reading.
In Summary: Fans of the paranormal will eat up Annie Oldham's latest novel Possession, an incredibly written novel with intriguing characters.
Warnings/Side-notes: No concerns. I would recommend this book to readers of any age.
The Wrap-up: I can't wait to see what's next for Oldham. Like I said, she never disappoints.

My Synopsis: Kate is still battling to overcome the grief of losing her husband and son. But when she believes she sees her son in a mall, everything she thought she knew starts unraveling at the seems.
She's hesitant to go to the PI to ask for help, but sees no other alternative. Connor is just as hesitant to accept the case but agrees to take it on. What neither of them expected to find was the undeniable chemistry between them or the secrets that somebody is determined to keep just that—a secret.
My Overall Thoughts/Impressions: I adore Irene Hannon. I think I own every suspense novel she has ever written. Hannon is an incredible author and so when I was given the opportunity to read this novel, I jumped at the chance.
This book does not disappoint. The characters are beautifully developed, the writing compelling, and of course the book well-researched. I found myself staying up way too late reading this book simply because I couldn't put the book down.
This book is amazing in one word. I would recommend this to anybody who loved romance or suspense. You won't be disappointed.
So why 4 stars? I always have such high expectations for Irene Hannon because like I said earlier I adore her. This book did not disappoint. It was, however, not my favorite one by her. I give it a solid 4 stars because it definitely stood above the crowd and I definitely want to go buy the book. It just missed that extra something to be a 5.
In Summary: Hannon's lastest novel Deceived is a spell-binding read that readers will not want to miss. A fast-paced novel that will leave you turning the pages faster and faster.
Warnings/Side-notes: No concerns. I would recommend this book to readers of any age.
The Wrap-up: I honestly am so excited to see what Hannon comes up with next. I for one will be buying it. I love this author so much.

My Overall Thoughts/Impressions: Pettrey's series is pure gold. I keep thinking that there is no way I can love the next in the series as much as I did the previous one and then somehow I always end up loving the next one just as much.
This novel on Darcy and Gage was pure brilliance. I loved watching them find faith, love, and of course solving one heck of a mystery. Darcy has always had a knack for uncovering things and in this novel she definitely uncovers something that is maybe a little bit too big for her to handle. And Gage is just incredible. Watching their dynamics was one of my favorite parts of the series.
This is a must-read as is every book in this series. Pettrey is certainly a new Christian fiction writer who I have my eyes on.
So why 4 stars? I adored this book. I felt like it dragged at times, but other than that it was amazing. Definitely recommended.
In Summary: Pettrey's Alaskan Courage series is not one to miss and Stranded will leave you with bated breath until the very last page.
The Wrap-up: I am falling in love with the series by Dani Pettrey and can't wait to read the next one.

My Overall Thoughts/Impressions: I actually really enjoyed the book. I thought this book showed the development that we were all waiting to see in Tris and Four. I loved watching them grow. They faced many trials and both made stupid decisions, but I loved their progression and that was probably one of my favorite things about the book.
As for the ending, yes part of me hated it and yet the other half loved it. I found it to be quite profound for reasons I can't share here without spoiling the book. However, I will say that the ending was realistic and fit the story.
I loved the book. It was definitely a great read that I enjoyed immensely. Veronica Roth is an incredible writer and is amazing at developing her characters.
All and all this was an unforgettable read.
So why 4 stars? Because although I love the ending and book, the way the ending came seemed a tad bit rushed. For that I gave it a 4 and not a 5.
In Summary: A thrilling, beautifully written novel that will grip you until the very end.
Warnings/Side-notes: This book is one that I would recommend to anybody.

Ever since I read BiDisclaimer: I received a temporary electronic ARC of this book from the publisher via Edelweiss in exchange for my honest opinion.
Ever since I read Bittersweet by Sarah Ockler, she has been one of my favorite authors. I loved that novel so much and was looking forward to reading another novel by her. So when I saw that I had the chance to read this novel and share my opinions about it, I jumped at the chance.
This novel was incredible and was even better than I could have imagined. Ockler created another masterpiece with this one. I absolutely loved the characters Jude and Emilio. Their chemistry was undeniable. Both of these characters had their struggles and had a lot to overcome, but they were good people. I've been reading a lot of novels centered around the bad boy and the good girl combo. Emilio wasn't naughty, but he wasn't boring or ultra-nice either. He was just the perfect combo of nice and naughty.
Jude's dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer disease and left Jude struggling to care for him. She thought that restoring his old bike would make things better. But if but her in a situation where she couldn't win. She vowed never to get near any of the Vargas' boys. The older two broke both of her sisters's hearts and they made her swear never to get involved with one. But helping her dad is worth it. I loved watching Jude grow up and become the person I knew she could be.
Jude had several older sisters who were always more than happy to help guide her and to tell her what to do, but Jude had never really taken the time to do what she wanted to. She figured that out in this novel.
The writing was poignant and masterfully written. Ockler is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Definitely recommend this one. ...more
