I I really liked the first one in this series, Paranormalcy. It caught my attention and kept my hooked and so I was really excited to read this novel.
I loved this novel, but I didn't enjoy it as much as the first one. I'm not sure why, but I think it might have to do with the shallow reason that I saw less of Lend in this novel than in the previous one and I'm a huge Lend fan.
This novel was a bridge between the first and third novel...the sequel is always hard to write. However, despite these difficulties I still really enjoyed this novel and felt like White did a great job.
I loved learning more about Evie's story and the character Jack was a riot to say the least. There was a lot of conflict and mystery involved with this novel and I enjoyed that.
I loved seeing how Evie grew in this novel and her attempts to come to grips with what she really is. I enjoyed the writing style. White's writing style is nothing if not entertaining.
A great read and I will definitely look forward to reading Endlessly the last novel in this series which comes out in late July 2012...so definitely a long wait.

My overall Thoughts/Impressions: First of all, I squealed when I got this book in the mail. I've been dying to read it. I have absolutely adored this series so far and the cover is simply beautiful and exquisite.
Okay, but now for my review. First off, I went into this novel feeling apprehensive. I've read so many series lately that were fantastic and then ended so poorly. I was anxious to see how White tied all of her loose ends together.
I shouldn't have worried. White's ending was absolutely brilliant and masterfully crafted and the characters are adorable. Lend and Evie...they are both downright amusing and are two characters that I love reading about.
Evie certainly has attitude, but frankly one that I found thoroughly entertaining. And then there's Jack. He is thoroughly entertaining. I also really like Rafe. I probably shouldn't, but he's just so intriguing.
Then there is White's writing style, it is compelling, intriguing, and simply brilliant. I always leave her books a few laughs lighter and thoroughly entertained.
As for this novel, White picked up right where she left off and the novel moved at a fast pace throughout the novel. I found myself eagerly awaiting the ending to see what would happen. In my opinion, she ended the series perfectly. I honestly can't think of any other way she could have ended it.
Fans of this series will eat this one up. It's teenage paranormal fantasy at its best. White's writing style is brilliant and I hope that we see more from her.
In Summary: The perfect conclusion to a captivating series with characters I adored. Definitely recommended. Absolutely lovely.
The Wrap-up: I read this book in one sitting, but was left thoroughly entertained the whole time. I'm so thrilled I got to read this. And like I mentioned earlier, I definitely can't wait to see if White decides to write something else. Recommend this one, especially if you like the first two in this series.

Here is part of my review:
I really liked this tale. We are all familiar with Beauty and the Beast, and if you're me you've read at least a few retellings of fairy tales. I have not read one more entertaining or original as this one. One gold star earned for an amazing plot.
The novel traces the story of Ivy Thorn, who honestly has an attitude. Ivy is a military brat and has finally moved to a new home once again. I loved Ivy's character. It was very easy for me to relate to her story and her personality. The novel was told in first person and I really felt like I was hearing words come straight from her mouth. Casey's writing was excellent and her characterization honed to a fine art.
I loved the pesky pixie who caused Ivy to be thrown into the fairy tale. He was a character that I can't wait to learn more about.
Like I mentioned, this story wasn't like the Disney version or any other version of Beauty and the Beast that I'm familiar with. I loved that. I can't wait to see what's next for Ivy in the sequel.
This story is also fairly short. It's a quick read that was really enjoyable. I definitely recommend this novel.
In Summary: A beautifully written and original tale of Beauty and the Beast that fans of the original tale and fans of fantasy alike will love.
This was an incredible book. I loved the first one, but this one was even better. Definitely not a bridge novel in any shape or from. I can't wait toThis was an incredible book. My Rating: 4 out of 5 stars.
An Overview of the Novel: Ivy has seen things that nobody else should ever have to see. She is a member of the Order and as such is tasked with the responsibility of killing the fae. Disney got it wrong again. Not only are fairies not cute, they are lethal and feed off of humans to stay alive.
Ivy's spent her whole life fighting them, but one night she sees something new and different. Something that she can't explain. She meets something that isn't quite human and yet is not like all the other fae she's met before.
Then she meets Ren. Ren is the new guy and seems to have some of the answers she's looking for, but Ivy is convinced he's trouble and dangerous--dangerous to her heart and maybe just plain dangerous.
Forced to work together, they start unraveling the pieces one at a time hoping it's not too late to stop the fae.
My Overall Thoughts/Impressions: Okay so based off the cover I was expecting I don't know a mermaid story. I love the cover though, but yeah not a mermaid book. :)
I love Armentrout, hence why I stayed up literally all night reading this book. Yes, I guessed many parts of the ending, but that didn't lessen the appeal of this book. I adored it and flew through it.
I loved Ivy. She's so kick-butt and Ren was such an intriguing character. I loved the world that Armentrout created. It sucked me in from the beginning. And even though I've finished the book, I keep thinking about things that are going to happen in the sequel. I've imagined all these different scenes. Any book can do that is one of my favorites.
The novel is fast-paced. The romance is steamy, and the characters are incredibly well-crafted. In typical Armentrout fashion, she had me laughing out loud throughout the novel. This is a must-read novel for JLA fans, paranormal fans, new adult fans, and just readers in general.
An incredible read that comes highly recommended.
So why 4 stars? It was pure awesomeness. I love JLA and this one was no exception. I gave it a 4 because it was slightly predictable. Other than that I loved it.
Warnings/Side-notes: Several instances of strong language. Sexual content geared for 18+.
The Wrap-up: An adorable, kick-butt, fast-paced novel. When is the sequel coming out, oh yeah the spring/summer 2015. Don't think I can wait that long. Go buy this one, you won't regret it.

My Overall Thoughts/Impressions: This was free on Amazon and so I snagged it. I absolutely adored it. At first, I wasn't sure what to expect or where the novel was going, but I was quickly sucked into the story.
This is paranormal at it's best. It's been a long time since I've read a good paranormal. This was one that reminded me why I like paranormal. The plot was intense, and even though I guessed some of what was going on, I couldn't put it down.
If you love kick-butt female protagonists, then Sara is what you're looking for. Seriously, this novel was incredibly well-written. I for one know I will be reading the sequel.
So why 4 stars? It was unique and it caught my attention. Great read.
The Wrap-up: A well-written book that I really enjoyed. This book is chock full of intrigue and suspense. A world you won't want to miss delving into.
