On a whim I was rustling through the box of books that Penguin Group sent my way a few weeks back. I was bored but once I found ETERNAL SIN from Laura Wright my boredom was over and then some.
ETERNAL SIN is the sixth, yes sixth book in her erotically seductive MARK OF THE VAMPIRE series. If you chose one book to reade from Laura Wright, I say, make the right decision and pluck ETERNAL SIN of your favorite local book store on November 5th.
Ms. Wright knows exactly what she is doing when you swipe her finger tips of her magical keyboard. Ms. Wright is an artist of the heart having immersed in acting, singing and competitive ball dancing. That being said, you can see how creative this author is that her stories must be just as well developed and stopped in creative juices pouring from page to page. To say I'm a devoted fan is like saying does a woman like chocolate. Reading a Wright book is complete escapism and adventure for the romantic reader at heart. Why?
Her characters are so well written and grounded in reality even being set in the paranormal genre. Take away the paranormal element, the erotic sexual love scenes and you have flesh and blood characters that want what all readers want. I love so deep, passionate and to mean the world to some one that Wright makes this element in her story quite clear from the get go. That no to say that her characters, especially in ETERNAL SIN Petra When and Synjon Wise do not have the obstacles to overcome. Wright is brilliant at blocking this couple’s happy ending at every turn. Just when you think the couple has defeated emotional and physical demons Wright pulls the fantasy from beneath her readers’ feet time and again. She is flawless in keeping her readers engaged from page to page.
ETERNAL SIN is the perfect read for paranormal and urban fantasy readers. A book with Laura Wright’s name on the book a reader knows they are in for one intensely passionate adventure. Wright delivered with Petra When and Synjon Wise. Most of the time, I am drawn to the hero of the book. I believe somewhere deep inside of my beating heart I’m hoping they might exists. It’s my fantasy and I’m sticking to it. Petra is the perfect heroine. She has so many things happening that any normal person would have lost her mind. She is contemplative and courageous that the hero couldn’t help being drawn to her. Petra is self possessed, knows herself but at the best of times isn’t intimidated to show her softer side. This heroine is one bad as chick. Not in she won’t hand the hero his walking papers or kick his deliciously sexy butt, which she does, but this character has a quiet strength that drew me. I spent two straight nights reading into the wee hours of the nigh because I was desperate to see how Petra turned her emotionless vampire around. Thing is, Petra did it by just being herself. No magic powers or spells, Petra just went on with living her life and being the kind of heroine that I was proud to have read.
ETERNAL SIN is not for the faint of heart when it comes to sexual love scenes. Wright is explicit in her descriptions and her word usage might not be some readers cup of tea, but do not let that dissuade you. The core or the heart of the story at the beginning is vengeance. As readers continue to read and watch the characters develop into living breathing characters that leap from the page to grab you by the heart they see a two individuals who finally let go of the fantasy to grasp for that golden ring…love. ETERNAL SIN is a must read in my opinion. ...more
