This is the 3rd install**spoiler alert** I found myself feeling sorry for these 3 Baudelaire orphans and pretty much caught up with their adventures.
This is the 3rd installment of the Unfortunate Event Series, following the unfortunate lives of the 3 Baudelaire orphans, namely Violet (an Inventor), Klaus (the Bookworm) & Sunny (the baby who would bite anything, and I mean anything!) after living with their departed Uncle Monty, killed by Count Olaf, but he escaped in the process of about to put him behind bars.
Mr Poe (in my opinion, a useless main caretaker), a family friend who took care for the orphans fortune until Violet came to an age, brought them to live with another family member, name Mrs. Josephine Anwhistle, who lived in a house, in the edge of a hill (literally) above Lake Lachrymose, that is infested with Lachrymose Leeches, who would eat a human if they smellt food on them.
Living with Aunt Josephine, who was a total grammar freak and scared of every single thing, that they have to live in a cold house, eating cold food (she's afraid of fire incidents) and the irony of being afraid of Lake Lachrymose, she actually lived on top of it. Yet counting their blessings the Baudelaire orphans, they felt lucky to be in a home with somebody that scared they actually feel secure. Until they came to a market one day and meet the Captain Sham, with a patch on one eye and a peg as one leg. but we all knew who exactly Captain Sham was, of course Aunt Josephine wasn't very keen to believe the children.
One day, Aunt Josephine died, death cause, jumping through the window, leaving the three of them to Captain Sham (Count Olaf in disguised), and they knew Mr Poe wasn't very keen to actually believe Captain Sham was Count Olaf in disguise (He simply believed they kids are hallucinating and seeing him everywhere).
The orphans tries to figure out a way to escape from the clutches of Count Olaf again when they discovered their aunt was still alive and was in hiding, somewhere. So they tried to get to her and tried to convince her to come back out to the world.
If you are looking for a happily ever after kind of ending for your kids, I suggest you look away from this series. But if you want to give a little modern era children facing somewhat real, you should let them read this one and of course, it's not just for children. As before, we have free vocabulary lessons in this book as well. Enjoy....more

The main character is Jill, who is in the group of girls who bullies this girl, Linda who they dubbed as "Blubber" because of her essay about whales. It grew from just an inside joke to the rest of their peers, making Linda's life a living hell.
I spent reading this book emotionally. I actually feel like wringing some of the characters' necks! This would be one of the good books out there to introduce to the kids the problem of bullying and how to handle them in such a young age. Nevertheless the ending is kind of disturbing to be since there doesn't seem to be a justification to the story itself. The adults too doesn't seem to be much involved in trying to work out the bullying problem, which is kind of a shame. Nevertheless it's a good read....more

Mind you, my excuse was that I wanted to get it for my mum but this ended up as one of the family favorite book to grab. Let's see... how can I play this review about. It's filled with exploding colors of cake decorations and ideas, most of it is surprising easy enough (with practice) to do with kids and as a beginner book.
The things included in this book are pictorial instructions and the equipments for use. The step by step are truly easy for any beginner in any age at all.
It's purely simple: - if you like cakes - if you like fondue - if you like making fondue cakes and has a curiosities wanting to make them. - If you have no idea how to make fondue cakes and wants to play around with the skill

This is about twoI've read this book when I was a kid, but never thought I be coming across this book while I work and get to refresh my read on it. This is about two siblings who accidentally found a strange rope leading up the tallest tree they have ever seen, into a treehouse, which is filled with books.
Jack loves books, his sister too, and that is enough determination to go up and explore. But after just a short while, the siblings realized this is no ordinary treehouse. They could open a book and make a wish, and that wish would come true.
And Jack made his first wish to meet a flying dinosaur!
Librarian Muse An excellent book for reluctant and blooming readers. Short and enjoyable, even when you're no longer past the age of requirement to enjoy this book. If there's any book you like to enjoy and forever remember, is the Magic Tree House series. I would personally vouch for it's popularity among students....more

Macy had reached to a point where she would do anything so she could pay for her daughter's transplant, so she's even willing to go through an artificial insemination, carry to full term where she could just hand the baby to him and they be off with their own life.
Both are survivors of their own dark past. Losing his pregnant wife to an accident was devastating for Thad and for Macy's husband left her for a jailbait, leaving a huge wound to heal and unknowingly they fill each other's void. As the contract progressed, they ended up getting married and things got too messy as both sides of the family gets involved with each other, weaving emotional intrude as time passes by.
I never thought after a long while I be picking up a Harlequin book after all of these years, but I did and I'm glad I did pick this one for my first read. This is page turning and fast pace with emotional turmoil, though ina couple of pages she lost me at where a character was at the moment but it was interesting read still....more
