At the beginning of a year, I love to look back at the books that grabbed my interest in the previous year. Thanks to the creator of this book page for offering a way to share my flashback with my GR buddies.
I'm a very soft rater. It doesn't take a lot to make me happy. If I had a good time escaping into your book, chances are your book got 3-4 stars. If I loved my trip and want to revisit the world again and again - 5 stars. If I read it, but miss the time it took me to do so, well, that'll get ya 1-2 stars.
As a serious series addict, most of my lists revolve around - surprise - series! Now, on to the lists! (books in no particular order)

Brennan • A dark world of sexy demons and cruel angels ~ Soul AvengedSons of Wrath by Keri Lake
I can't believe I waited until 2014 to start this series: Immortals After Dark by Kresley Cole
Next-in-series reads that prove some series just keep getting better:
Kindle Freebies that surprised me:
Finally, since I do occasionally venture outside the world of the paranormal, here are some of my favorite contemporary romance reads: • J.M. Madden's Lost and Found [Military RS] • Emma Chase's Tangled series, which I finished in 2014 [Humorous ER] • Tiffany Reisz's Original Sinners ~ The White Years series is one of my favorites [ER] • Cherise Sinclair's Masters of the Shadowlands series better go on forever b/c I cannot imagine a world without these hot Doms and their sassy subs [ER] • Nalini Singh's Rock Kiss series started off a little bumpy for me, but this novella reminded me why I shouldn't snub anything written by her [NA-CR] • Lexi Blake's Masters and Mercenaries series can sometimes be a frustrating read for me. I love her Doms and their missions, but I enjoy her Doms and their subs more. Sometimes the big baddies' story encroaches a bit too much on my D/s time [ER/RS]
Well, if ya stuck with me this far, thanks for celebrating my favorite reads of 2014! If not, who can blame ya, I ramble. :D
Cheers and Happy New Year! May your 2015 overflow with 5-star reads, great new author finds and series you cannot wait to return to and re-read again and again....more

(view spoiler)[ Griffin had inherited The 8th Circle from Kingsley. The club was his responsibility and it took more of his time than Griffin ever dreamed it would. Wrangling wayward submissives and putting pro-Doms into place and planning private parties and wooing new clients…Griffin had a new respect for Kingsley after all that. It was fun, empowering. And Griffin loved it. But what he hadn’t loved was the time it took away from him and Mick.
Nico. King’s son. She’s [Nora's] fucking King’s son Nico. Not just fucking him. She collared him. She owns him.
King and Søren are together again. Like for real for real. Which is why Søren’s so happy and horny all the time, and Nora’s so happy and horny, because she had a sub now and it’s…oh my God, it’s insane. Søren has King and Nora. Nora has Søren and Nico and King has Juliette and Søren and it’s like the sexiest love hexagon ever. (hide spoiler)]
“Christmas in Suite 37A”: Part 1 : Blue Christmas Read @ 16 Dec 2014 (view spoiler)[Griffin is staying with Nora. Mick has left for Europe. He requested no contact and, so far, Grif has been able to respect his wish. But, it's been 3 months and he's aching for his sub.
Nora takes Grif to Søren's Christmas Mass. While there, she convinces him that he should at least text Mick and see what happens. (hide spoiler)]
Part 2 : Silver Bells Read @ 19 Dec 2014 (view spoiler)[Griffin rec'd a reply to his text. Mick has agreed to meet him. He's over the moon and believes it to be an answered Christmas wish.
Determined to make the time together special, he asks Mick to meet him at a place that holds a lot of meaning for Grif - Suite 37A at the Waldorf.
Mick and Grif share a meal, chat about what's happened to both during their separation. Mick explains why it was important for him to leave:
“Nora…” Mick began and met Griffin’s eyes. “She told me a long time ago that the reason she left Father S was because there was someone she needed to be, and she couldn’t be that person and be with Father S at the same time. And that’s why I asked for the break from you. Because there was someone I had to be, and you weren’t letting me be him.”
Part 3 : White Christmas Read @ 22 Dec 2014 (view spoiler)[Mick and Grif retire to Suite 37A. Griffin gives Mick his present. It's a letter he wrote ten years ago. He knows he wrote it for Mick.
Dear Whoever is Reading This, I'm in love with you.
I don't know you yet, but I'm going to keep this letter until I meet you.
While staying with King, Griffin, in a coke-induced haze, wrecked his home. King took him to the Waldorf, this very suite 37A, and asked Griffin if he had anything worth living for. Griffin's answer, 'You.' So, the night before heading to rehab, Grif wrote this letter knowing that one day he would find his love.
The two, having worked through the issues that lead to the separation are Dom and sub once again.
