4 Solid Stars! Have I told you how much I love this series? Definitely one of my new favorites! Ms. Stevens managed to write a fabulous new series in4 Solid Stars! Have I told you how much I love this series? Definitely one of my new favorites! Ms. Stevens managed to write a fabulous new series in a genre that is very saturated and getting more so every day. The Graveyard Queen Series stands out in a sea of urban-fantasy series as being unique, well written, and thoroughly entertaining.
The Prophet (the third installment in this series) was a roller-coaster of a ride. Although I enjoyed the first two books just a tiny bit more I still REALLY liked The Prophet. The imagery that Ms. Stevens accomplishes is phenomenal. I felt as though I was right there in the book experiencing it in real time. Lots of twists in the plot and I didn't figure out who the "bad guy" was until the very end. Many times books are very predictable in this respect and I love that I wasn't able to easily figure out what would happen next and who was after who. The leading character in the series, Amelia Gray, is a complex character that Ms. Stevens has developed beautifully. Not only is Amelia a strong-willed independent woman, she is also very likeable as well (not an easy task to accomplish for most writers).
I really love the graveyard aspect of this series. Usually when dealing with graveyards in series such as this, the main characters are vampires, zombies, and the like. Not the case here. Amelia Gray restores old graveyards and enjoys the time she spends in the graveyards (for the most part). I have always been drawn to graveyards and it was refreshing to read a series that didn't make them out to be dark, scary and filled with evil. Graveyards can be just as beautiful as Ms. Stevens has portrayed them in this fabulous series.
Another fabulous addition to this series. I am not sure if the series is a trilogy -- which would mean that this is the final book. It very well could be and that would make me sad since I enjoy reading this series so much. I sincerely hope to see more installments to this fabulously unique series. ...more
The more I read of the "Graveyard Queen" series the more I love it. The Kingdom is the second installment in this fabulously original and s4 1/2 Stars
The more I read of the "Graveyard Queen" series the more I love it. The Kingdom is the second installment in this fabulously original and suspenseful urban-fantasy series. I didn't think Amanda Stevens could outdo herself after I read "The Restorer" (the first book), but she definitely came through with flying colors. Not only are the characters well developed, the storyline is solid and strong. I often find myself distracted a bit while reading books, but that is definitely not the case with this series. I don't skim over pages wanting to get to the next great scene. I read every word. Ms. Stevens doesn't waste words when writing to "fill space," she simply writes beautifully constructed stories that capture you and keep you on the edge of your seat.
In this book the main character, Amelia Gray, finds out more about her past and why she has the powers she does. In a genre that has so many great authors and series, Amanda Stevens' Graveyard Queen stands out (in a good and fabulous way). I would have to say it is one of my favorite newer series. The books aren't predictable... there aren't the usual vampires and werewolves to read about; simply put they are original, entertaining, well written, and extremely good reads. ...more

MGini Koch outdid herself with the latest installment in her Katherine "Kitty" Katt Series. Alien Diplomacy was a breath of fresh (and humorous) air! My mood was brightened just by reading it. I just can't seem to get enough of this series. Honestly I am unsure why I love this series so much, but I do. I find it so very highly entertaining. The humor is on the cheesy side and I often find myself chuckling while reading.
Alien Diplomacy is the 5th book in the series and although Kitty wasn't her normal "bad ass" self she was still in the middle of every bad situation there could possibly be... and she still kicked some major ass in her own backwards kind of way. I anxiously await the next installment in this series.
I suppose many people would categorize this series as science fiction simply because of the alien aspect. I don't think I necessarily agree with this. To me it is more of an urban fantasy or paranormal with some suspense, action, mystery, and romance thrown in for good measure. For some reason when I think of the genre of science fiction I think more of spaceships and "Star Wars" type plots -- not the humorous fluffy content that makes up Gini Koch's Kitty Katt Series. I am not saying that these books are entirely "fluff," but they are fun and easy reads and never fail to keep me giggling at Kitty's antics.
If you love good action, twisting plots that seem to make no sense at all until close to the end of the book, silly/cheesy humor, super hot guys (who happen to be aliens) in Armani suits, and adult romance then I definitely recommend this series. ...more

Loved Hell's Bells even more than the first book. A really fabulous paranormal romance / urban fantasy read.
According to her website she does plan to write more books for her Good Will Ghost Hunting Series. I am not so patiently waiting for more updated news on when they are going to be written and released. Please hurry, Ms. Dalton! ...more

I am thrilled they are being republished. First off I may not of heard of them otherwise and most importantly The Good Will Ghost Hunting Series is in one word AWESOME!
A different take on demons and I loved it. Ms. Dalton has a gift for making her characters come to life and she certainly accomplished that in this book. It is best to read the books in order because each one starts off where the last one ended.
According to Tymber Dalton's website there are several more books planned in this series. I am really looking forward to reading them. Although Ms. Dalton does write quite a bit of erotica, this series is not. It is adult paranormal romance... possibly could be classified as urban fantasy (but more PNR). ...more
