A Cold Creek Christmas Surprise is a part of the Cold Creek series (and a wonderful part at that). I have read a few of these books and I am trying to get my hands on the rest of them. I love the down home feel they have and how each romance between the characters is unique. This book can be read as a standalone. A fast paced and quick romance this is just perfect for your Christmas time reading enjoyment! (less)

Everything from the unique romantic plot to the characters held my interest and made this such an enjoyable book to read.

I really felt for Honor and found her a character I could truly connect to. I understand being 35 and wanting a child. Yet through these sad moments there was still a lot of humor in this wonderful story. I just loved how easy this story was to get into and become emotionally involved with these character’s lives.

The way Ms. Parks weaves this story is wonderful. The plot moves along at a comfortable pace and the descriptions of the time period makes you feel like you are right there. I have read the books by Willie and Phil so when I saw Si was coming out with a book I of course had to read it as well. I wasn’t sure I was going to love it but by the end of the book I did!
I admire the honest way Si tells his life’s story. He has had a very interesting life, something the TV show only touches on. He talks about his life growing up, how he served in the Army, and his life with his wife and kids. The one thing he weaves into just about everything is his faith and trust in God. He is a simple man but a very inspiring and entertaining one!
If you are a fan of the show and would like to know more about this interesting man, please pick this book up ASAP. It is a quick read but a very touching one! I thoroughly enjoyed it and I know my teens will enjoy it as well. (less)
