I have this feeling that from now on this series is going to kick ass!!

And there is no way to explain how awesome, fun, incredible... agr!!! I just can't CAN'T find the word!
Not one moment of boredom here. Demons, elves, angels, occasional vampire or elf. And action, action, action. There's absolutely no way of even imagining the outcome of the story. When I think I got it... BOOM. Nope.
I keep reading this series one after another and its still painfully good (It's not boring, although it gets more complex but not in a tiring way). I just fell in love with the characters. Sam is an unpredictable true demon to her core but slowly she turns into something more than just your average destruction-loving imp. And I do mean demon. As in: Let's murder a whole family and make a sculpture out of it. Its art! She is more, so much more.
I already feel the pain of finishing the next one in the series (oh, yes, I will get to it right away) because I will have to wait for another one and it makes me uneasy, restless. I seriously can feel my heart constricting just at the thought of "leaving" all the chars for another book while waiting for the next release.
I was feeling some of this mixed emotions while reading Fever series and although the story itself is completely different, thinking about it still pulls at my heartstrings.
The first character ever that kills without regrets and with a smile on her face. It reminds me of a Hollows seriesAwesome! It gets better and better!
The first character ever that kills without regrets and with a smile on her face. It reminds me of a Hollows series but with a twist.
I'm so glad I discovered it, yet I can't understand why it happened so late... This series is a non-stop action fun, why its not more popular?
I recommend with all my super-girl power!! :D
“Ewwww. I can’t believe you kissed her on the mouth. She just ate her finger, you know?” Candy choked out. Wyatt grinned. “Tastes like bacon.”
Candy was downright demonic when it came to planning, scheming, and working events to her advantage. She was also a werewolf. She had lied to me, manipulated and blackmailed me into helping her find and take out a rogue angel this past summer. I’d almost died. I liked her. Deviousness was a trait I valued in a friend.
“Okay, I would love to have sex in the tub.” “Sounds fun.” His hands moved slowly over my skin. I was encouraged by how he’d accepted my first form, by how quickly he’d accepted my assurances of what he meant to me. So I let it all out with uncharacteristic honesty. “A tub filled with blood. I can strangle you right before you orgasm. Not kill you, just suffocate you enough to give it that great edge. With a noose made of intestines. Maybe I’ll gnaw on the other end.” My voice trailed off as I imagined it all. I was so turned on.

I complained again that this was a stupid idea and that there was no way I was going to be able to keep doing this. He stopped and looked at me sternly. “Did we not just have this conversation? Let me see. Yes. Yes, it was the same conversation. There was some whining from you, then I threatened to do physical harm to your toy, then you grudgingly complied. Perhaps we can just skip all the middle part and get to the part where you comply? Otherwise, I’m liable to get angry and do all sorts of things I’ll really enjoy now and mildly regret later.” I hated this angel.
“Can we get on with this, then?” This guardian was a pain in the ass. “Oh no, you can’t activate the gate. I have specific instructions that I must activate it for you. In fact,” she dug around in a large purse, “I took notes.” She pulled out a brown fast–food napkin with writing on it and read from it. “Do not let her activate the gate. She is liable to close it in on herself half way through. Then I’ll need to come back here to pull bits of her crushed body out, and that will cause me to work months restoring the gate. Activate the gate for her. Also, make sure she doesn’t accidently drag in dozens of shopping humans and the kiddy carousel with her to the other side. It’s never happened before, but she’ll find a way.” Ha, ha. So funny. Gregory the angel comedian.
Gregory sighed and ran his hands through his hair. “Fine. In the interest of my sanity, I’ll agree to let you stay as a bound demon. But there are rules. No Owning. No killing humans. No breeding. I see any plagues, asteroid strikes, or another ice age and I’m going to rip your head clean off your neck. Got it?” Sheesh, like I could do any of those last things. I was just an imp, after all. “Scouts honor,” I said. “Totally. Absolutely got it.” He frowned. I was lying, and he knew it.

Some quotes to make my boo boo go away:
“This is my hospital and I have the final word.” Eidolon’s jaw clenched so hard she heard the pop of bone. “No one harms the Aegi but me.” “The Aegi whore thanks you,” she muttered, but neither demon seemed to hear.
she cleared her throat. “Hey, is the touchy-feely homo moment over? Because I’m wondering how Minion of Darkness One got to hit Minion of Darkness Two without his skull fracturing.”
Shade let out a harsh laugh. “Sounds like someone is thinking with his dick.” “Finally.” A thread of amusement shot through Wraith’s still-irate rumble. “Damned inconvenient timing, though.”
“You sleep with me.” Like a real couple. Way too intimate. “I don’t want to.” He inhaled deeply. “Don’t lie to me, Tayla. I can smell your desire.” God, that sense of smell of his was a pain in the ass. “I need space.” “The bed is big enough to give you that.” “It’s big enough to give an entire cheerleading squad space.” She felt him smile against her skin. “You almost sound jealous.” “You’re delusional.”...more

I didn't like the heroine (Dawn) she was presented as an independent strong-willed woman - at the beginning anyway. Then she stops being a professional journalist, gets drunk, high and almost fucks one of the guys in the band while being highly critical of their lifestyle at the same time. She was supposed to live her dream, earn recognition and it was definitely not a way to do it.
For me all the paranormal/demonic stuff didn't add up. It was like watching a bad horror flick with a blond bimbo going down the basement saying "hello?". We know what's going on, she knows it, EVERYONE knows it and yet through the whole book she is beating around the bush. Soooo frustrating....more

“I have to admit, that he had a good plan.” My fingers flexed around the knife’s hilt. I didn’t have to reach far to feel the Break’s power and grasp it. “But he didn’t count on one thing.” His bushy eyebrows arched. “And what is that, girl?” “Me.”
How cliche is that?! It's like saying "I'll love you to the end of time" or "If you want to kill him, you'll need to kill me first" or sth so obvious and unoriginal that you clench your teeth not to scream....more
