Young Adult novels like Heist Society is the reason I love the YA genre! It was fun, quirky and full of action and mystery.
Kat is a kick-ass heroine with witty commentary. She keeps a level head and you can’t wait to see what she comes up with next! I also loved it when she would tell stories about heists she would go on when she was little, or heists her father pulled off.
There is also a whole host of characters that are interesting. They make you feel part of the “family” and their humor keeps the story flowing.
The Author described scenes and events so well that you can imagine yourself in that situation. There are also some things left to wonder. What exactly is her mother’s story? Who is Vasily Romani?
I think the story could have been spiced up a bit by using Real paintings that are missing. There are tons and any of them could have been used in this book.
If you are looking for a fun and light read, then this is the one for you!
I thought the scene where Kat surprises the boys by having “boobs” was lots of fun!(less)

You have to know I didn't hate this book. I think it was very well written and more often than not the steamy scenes steamed up my glasses!
First off this is not a love at first sight novel. Its a lust at first sight novel. I don't believe that in the first few minutes of meeting each other (where Carter notices her breasts) and she gets aroused that this is love. Not even a few days later...
But I can look past all of this. I expect nothing more from a romance.
You also have to know that when it comes to cheating, I don't think anything can justify it! But nonetheless here I go:
The two sides of Carter Madison
On the one hand he is a charming writer who seems to have got himself into a situation where he is going to marry his decease friend's widow and be a father to her children, even though he doesn't love her. And you feel for him
On the other he uses it to get Sloan to sleep with him; he wants her to feel sorry for him. When she doesn't want to sleep with him (because his fiancé is her friend) he becomes abusive. But he soon apologises. She falls for it. Then he tries a different angle, he lets her read his manuscript (because nobody reads it before it's done). She feels flattered.
Oh an let's not forget when he says that after the wedding when he sleeps with Alicia he will have to imagine that it's Sloan, because how else will he handle it! oh how...
I ask myself am I sceptical? I wonder if everyone saw it the way I did?
If I was Sloan, red lights would go off when Carter says: "you hot little hussy" or "All right Sloan, go back to your safe, lonely world and wallow in your selflessness."
Yes this man knows exactly what to say to make a woman all warm and fuzzy...
I'll give Sandra Brown this; she does know how to write a steamy scene. This and the justified ending at least made it bearable...
In the end, their behaviour is justified when Alicia (the fiancé) also cheats on Carter. They confess that they don't want to be together and Carter races off to the love of his life. (Yes here he sits in a dark corner when she comes in the room and watches her undress... not a perv at all).
And a happy ending...
Cheeezyyyy. But hey I expected that :)
Will Sloan one day figure out that this guy is a sex maniac that likes abusing woman and make them feel small so he can get them into the sack?

Once again a great read from Richelle Mead! Rose is in real trouble when this starts and only a crazy plan put together by her friends and family could save her.
A lot of loose ends are dealt with in this book, but also a lot of things were left open at the end.
As you will see in the spoiler section there was one thing I really really did not like and that is why this book can't get 5 stars from me, but 4. Rose lived up to her reputation but she also disappointed me.
The story however is as gripping as always!
What really got to me was the fact that Rose hurt Adrian so much. I did not like it all. He deserved better and he should have had a happy ending too.
Don't get me wrong I want her to be with Dimitri, but she could have handled it better.
I do love the fact that Lissa became queen! Most of it was wrapped up in a nice little package at the end, but it left me wanting more. I don't feel like the story is done, but we will see what the rumoured "spin-off" series will entail. Sydney will be in it, so hopefully we will find out more about what happened to her. I wonder if it will be about the Alchemists?
Adrian better get a happy ending! That will make this book ok then.

I won this book, and I'm so glad I did!
Tabitha Serannon has a hidden power, but to access this she needs to go through many trials and tribulations to discover her inner strength. With the help of an unlikely friend, she has to find her way. Darkness stands in the path she must follow, but so does love.
This book was really gripping and one I did not want to end! It was extremely hard to put down and when I finally did, I could not stop thinking about it!

Tomorrow when the war began was fantastic! It asks a lot of questions like: What would you do? Would you be able to handle a situation like that? Are we as safe as we think we are?
“We believed we were safe. That was the big fantasy.”
The characters are so diverse and it is fascinating to see how each one deals with the situation. I think Homer and Fi are my favorite characters – I might have been influenced by the movie here though.
The setting was described very well and you could live yourself into the story quite easily. There is also a lot of action and even a little romance but the story feels realistic throughout it all.
I feel this book can teach everyone a thing or two. Survival techniques and most importantly to think ahead and make plans for anything that might happen.
It was a very quick and easy read and I will most definitely read the second one!
I loved both the movie and the book. I think the movie had a bit to add with the visualization aspect of the story. But both were fantastic!(less)

I love her take on shifters, they are described brilliantly and very believable. Faythe is a strong character that kicks ass, and who doesn't like that?
I can't believe I have only started this series now! But I learn from my mistakes and will get the next one a.s.a.p.
I love the whole Pride and the dynamics of it!
The book might have been a smidgen long but its not a big deal.
At this point I like Jace more than Marc and I feel that Faythe switched back to Marc a bit unexpectedly for my taste, as i was still in the Jace corner. Oh and I'm sure something is going on with Andrew! But will have to wait and see :)(less)
