Zoey driZoey Zoey Zoey, oh how I hate you, yet I am addicted to your story! And that pretty much sums up my love hate relationship with these novels. Zoey drives me up the wall, with her inappropriate relationships and her forever ‘oh I didn’t know I was cheating, oh but he is so handsome, oh and the other guy too, oh wait let’s get a third one cause he is handsome too!’ attitude. However, the rest of the story is so gripping and addicting that I can’t get enough!
The setting is fantastic, full of fledglings, vampires, Goddesses and creatures of the night! Oh and cats, I love the cats scattered throughout this series. And set at a school for fledglings, which only makes things interesting!
Zoey’s friends come to the rescue for these novels, they are great, even if a little irritating at times. But the big draw for me is Zoey’s ‘frenemy’ (Aphrodite), which I love for some reason! There is also a few friends I can’t really talk about, as it may constitute a spoiler, but for the record I can’t wait to see what happens with them.
The pacing of this story is fantastic, it flows seamlessly and the plot it not afraid to move along at a great pace. There is always something happening! The dialogue sometimes feels like it is trying too hard, but there are still some chuckle-worthy moments. I also must mention the covers and titles of this series is fantastic and I love having them on my shelves! A great fun read that might not be for everyone....more

Once again I emerged myself in the world of Veronica Mars and the seedy life of Neptune. I get this great pleasure whenever I get to read/watch Veronica Mars so it comes as no surprise that I loved this book!
What made this one so special, is that Logan was in it! I am a big LoVe fan. But I have to admit, seeing Leo again made me smile. I would be very torn if ever Veronica has to choose between them again! I love where both Leo and Logan are with their lives and I hope to see more of both of them in the next book and/or movie.
All the old favorites were also featured, namely, Mac, Wallace, Weevil and even Cliff! I must admit is a bit strange that Mac is still working for the Mars family, I feel like she could make a lot more money somewhere else, and didn’t she turn down Kaine software to work for them?
I loved the mystery in this book. Sure, it was really terrible, but I loved how Veronica bit down and would not let go until she solved it! I was also pleasantly surprised that we got an update on the Mannings, even if it wasn’t ideal. Now Duncan next please!
Whenever I watch or read any VM mysteries I get a distinct Nancy Drew feel, and I get a flashback to me as a young girl devouring the Nancy Drew books!
I cannot recommend the Veronica Mars TV series, movie and books more! They are my guilty pleasure and I am sure I will be a fan for years to come!

However, his job comes firstCormoran Strike, private detective, is famous for solving the crime of a famous model as well as having a famous father. However, his job comes first as he tries to make an honest living without handouts or relying on his father’s fame. The wife of a semi-famous writer seeks Cormoran out to find her missing husband. The woman seems a bit batty, but something about the case makes Cormoran take it on. However, what seemed like a simple open and shut case, turns out to be much much more!
Cormoran is the essence of a tough guy that had a hard life and he makes for a very interesting main character. Robin, his assistant, is also very important to the story, she keeps Cormoran grounded while navigating a very turbulent relationship with her fiance. But, there are also the ‘case characters’ which is a whole lot. I found it at times difficult to keep track of all the agents, friends, publishers, mistresses etc. but after a while it all fell into place.
The setting is very rich, while still maintaining to be set in very few locations. The author manages to describe it all so richly, that I knew where I was at all times! The pacing was a bit disjointed, sometimes very fast and sometimes it dragged a bit. I feel that there was something missing in this novel. Maybe it was the jumble of events and people in the beginning or something a bit more sinister missing from the plot? I am not too sure. But I will definitely read another Cormoran Strike mystery! I also found that I like this book more than I did the first in the series. It might be because I figured out who the killer was, which made feel pretty good about myself.
I recommend this crime thriller mystery to anyone who likes any of these genres. It is an exciting story with a fun mystery!...more

They are so entertaining and fun! In this volume Faith is back with a bang! Giles asks her to help him take down a young slayer who wants to kill Buffy. There are a few catches tho. 1 – This slayer is royalty and hard to reach. 2 – She has someone training her. 3 – Faith will have to go though “my fair lady” training to get close to this royal slayer.
However, when Faith meets this young slayer, there is an instant connection. We get flashbacks of Faith’s past and a bit more insight into this dark character. On the other hand we have Buffy still training away and Dawn still a giant, dealing with giant problems.
There isn’t a lot that happens overall story-wise in this one, but it was great nonetheless! I keep going between 4-5 stars for this one. The art wasn’t that great, but I just love this story so much!
