I love it when a series surprises me and keeps on getting better. I felt like this novel was more action packed without too much unnecessary waffle. And a new character Orion is introduced! Now normally I would hate yet another love triangle, but I don’t even mind, Orion is just so swoon-worthy!
The mythology was enthralling and the story line was interesting and kept the pages turning. There might be lots of main/secondary characters in this novel, but I felt more comfortable with all the names and what everyone could do this time around. The introduction of all the gods/goddesses and some more characters only made the novel richer in detail.
I also loved how the story flowed so easily from the first into the second book. I enjoyed how all the characters were re-introduced to the reader, it wasn’t that whole – read 5 chapters of what happened in the first book thing.
Overall this book has everything you want! Forbidden Romance, Action, Mythology and Mystery! Definitely worth the read and I will pick up the third and last one in the series one for sure.
For those who have read the book:
Didn’t you just love Morpheus? I would have stayed with him :)
I wish someone would slap Daphne and Jason, they really irritate me!

I was a bit skeptical to read this new series by Alyson Noel after the Immortal Series. But I am glad I gave it a shot as it has a lot of potential and it was very different! It was a very refreshing and a fun read and Daire’s story has very interesting Native American mythology elements. What I also liked was that Fated had a mix of romance, mystery, paranormal and a sense of family.
The Romance wasn’t over the top and insta love where Daire could do nothing else but to think of him – It was gradual and sincere. The story was nicely paced with the right amount of action and intrigue. Also with an amazing plot that was vividly described.
The story plays of in Enchantment, a little town in the middle of nowhere which sounds like a nice place to kick up your feet and read a book. But of course this town has much more to offer. Portals, ancient wars between families and magic is only the beginning!
Now I have to admit that every time I read the name Daire, I couldn’t help but think of Dair (Dan and Blair) which filled me with so much happiness! I know a bit strange, but true!
So all in all a fun and interesting read.
What I liked:
* No Cliffhanger * No insta-love
What I didn’t like:
* Daire went a bit crazy when her mother didn’t pick up the phone…...more

From the beginning of this novel I was hooked! It starts out with a bang that carries right through. The storyline was unique as well as the paranormal element.
Wendy gets thrown into this very interesting world of “Trylle” with their fascinating mythology and ways of life. Wendy is temperamental, entertaining, unpredictable and real. With a whole host of diverse and remarkable characters to complete this fascinating world.
The novel reads very quickly and you can easily read it in one sitting, forgetting about the world around you. The writing flows and the story encompass everything you need in a YA novel – fun, excitement, romance, intrigue and action.
I can't point at anything I disliked about this novel, I just wanted something more.
But I can't wait to read the sequel to see where Ms. Hocking takes us!...more
