What I Thought: I really tried to like Seduction of A Highlander but for some reason I couldn't get into it. I pushed myself to even reach my limit before I allow myself to put the book down. The issues I had was that within the first 5 chapters there was just too much thrown at me in such a short space of time. I knew that Marjory had a thing for Alasdair, but couldn't figure out why. I also knew that he wanted her but because of some clan fight with her brothers clan he couldn't quite go after her. Then there was something about some ghost of the original MacDonald and a dream that Marjory had that I thought was ghosts and some other things. I just couldn't quite grasp the characters the way that I wanted or the way I normally do in books like this.
The one thing I do have to comment on is that even though this is the third book in a series it doesn't read like it is. There is a little mention of the other books in the series but they don't play too big of a part in Seduction of A Highlander, at least that I could see.
Do I Recommend: Honestly, I think that if you are a huge fan of Scottish romance then this book would be a book for you. As I mentioned earlier it also works as a stand alone. So yes....more

What I Thought: My first thought about Touch the Dark was how glad I was that I checked it out from the library. The idea behind it sounds amazing. I love a good vampire and ghost story. Which is why when I found it on my TBR list and then featured it on my TBR Thursday post I was pretty excited to actually read it.
I just couldn't get into Touch the Dark though, no matter how hard I tried. I felt as if I was thrown into the middle of a series, where everyone knew just what was happening except for me.
I couldn't understand WHY Cassie was afraid of the vampire who made her, and I really didn't understand WHY she was on the run. And sadly I feel like Karen Chance just didn't give enough of a back story in the beginning to hook me into reading about Cassie.
Do I Recommend: I cannot because I did not finish Touch the Dark. I think that it might be the perfect book for you though if you are a die hard vampire fan and don't mind being a little confused in the beginning....more
What I Thought:I like steamy erotica as much as the next girl, but after awhile the sex scenes in thiReview Originally posted at Find the Time to Read
What I Thought: I like steamy erotica as much as the next girl, but after awhile the sex scenes in this book all started to blur together. I also couldn't connect with either Jessie or Slade. I gave Loving Lies a fair shake, but in the end I didn't finish it.
Jessie has been in love with Slade for as long as she can remember, and Slade has been trying to stay away from her because she is younger than him. At a local camp ground they eventually end up hooking up.
Shortly after they hook up Slade gets redeployed for some super secret mission, that he can't tell Jessie about. So instead he breaks her heart and tells her that while it was fun she's just too immature for him and then he leaves.
I was sold on the story up until the part where one of Slade's friends started hooking up with Jessie after Slade had left. Okay, that's fine but when I found out that he KNEW Jessie was thinking of Slade while they were together I put Loving Lies down and walked away. I couldn't imagine any guy being okay with the fact that the girl he is sleeping with is thinking of someone else.
Do I Recommend: Because I didn't finish Loving Lies, I cannot recommend it....more
