I was just so into the book that it could not put it down or stop thinking about it. I did read it in an elevator, I did read it while BF and I visited a friend of his.
Some things made me angry, some things made me smile and some things just warmed my heart.
Bee was kidnapped in the last book and we get to follow her and her captures, and damn I want to hunt them all down and make those effing bastards pay!!!
All while Fitz is at Buckkeep Castle tending to the Fool, but yes when he learns of this. The hunt is on.
There are just so many things I want to say, but I am kind of lost for words. And I fear how it all will end. I fear for Fitz. I have followed his life for so long now and the fear is strong. I also really want him to bond again. The loss of Nighteyes still hurts me, and him.
SO yes I recommend this series, but if you want to feel all that lost and heartache then you have to start with the first trilogy. ...more

Did I believe her family and friends would let her be like that, eh, not really. She dressed in pants, rode like a man, rushed to care for animals. Maybe if we had take 1 of 3 it would have been better ;) Still, kudos to her for being all, I shall be a vet! And stupid men for not letting her be one.
Right so first we have her struggle to educate herself. Then we have bitches talking behind her back about how strange she is. Oh the pox on you bitches!
Then we have the romance part. The family she is staying with has a mysterious neighbor. Hello love interest. Aye, poor Henry hates his mum, his fiancee left him. He has issues. He wants a woman of the ton, and one with money and connections. Oh no, see, Lucy has none of that. And Henry is a bit of an asshole about the whole thing. Men, aholes.
They meet, they dance around, people are mean and they live happily ever after. I enjoyed it....more

She is kind, normal, and does seem lonely and only atfocused a job she does not love.
One part of the book is her reconciling with her sister, caring for her sister and mother. And the big secret, and it was actually pretty big and it gives an explanation why she did not come back a lot.
The other part is the romance and that had me worried. See Ren is married when the book starts, sure his wife is a bit bitchy and they both seem tired of each other. Sure they do separate, but still...it had me worried. Him being so newly divorced, and only separated at first. It's the whole second woman thing, the whole rebound thing. But as it came together it just made me wish they had been together since that prom they should have had. So sad.
But I enjoyed their story, and the town. The whole something sad happened at the prom, eh, not so much, especially not since that is the team in the rest of the books too. Yes I get it, someone died. You people need a shrink f you dwell this long.

Maura lives in Ireland. Jefferson is a big shot from Hollywood and he is trying to get her to let them film on their farm. We actually meet them when they have know each other for almost a week. They do it, and goes their separate ways. And Maura was all in love and he was all I can't love. You only knew each other for a week, come on!
And of course she is preggers. It is so weird how fast they get preggers in books. Boom. Done. No condom. Duh. Drama. They live happily ever after. But first he is an idiot.
But it was short and I enjoyed the silliness....more

A former solider suffering from PTSD since he had been tortured and was no addicted to opium. Yeah, it was not good to be John.
The setting was Victorian London. A very nice setting for a mystery if I may add.
And the story is about John getting a new job, a case to work and sets out to solve a mystery.
A nice normal historical mystery.
Paranormal things going on you say? Poppycock. John seconds that.
*read a bit more* Right, I should have trusted that blurb. Balderdash. No, this Victorian mystery just turned weird. And by weird I mean weeeird. There is more things under the heavens than you and I know. John gets beaten, finds an unknown world. Meets new friends, and that mystery is a slippery one. He does question everything and even I turned whaat? another time- Sure threw me a surprise there.
So it is a paranormal mystery, and there is an ending. One crisis is averted, but more seems to be coming. Victorian London is not safe.

YouMaybe the Australia setting made this one work for me. Because the heroine was a blind fool. Seriously!? You wonder why Reilly is upset with you? You got pregnant, had the kid and never told him! Then she shows up 5 years later and demands another child. Ok the reason was good, the first girl is dying and needs stem cells. But the way she just shows up, let him be angry cos you stole 5 years of his first child's life first.
So Lea has issues. Daddy issues, and she wanted to do it alone.
Reilly was a good guy. A former rodeo driver, and well, I liked him. Maybe not every thing he did, but I understood him.
We all know they will end up together, but there will be struggles first since Lea is a fool....more
