But I had the omnibus, via la omnibus.
I guess that is why the series ended also when it went ebook only. Cos it did speed up in this one. She needed an ending and yes it was a decent enough ending, but it also left space so there could be more. And I am sad that there wont be more. The books just felt so light and nice, much thanks to the omnibus since well you should see it. No dead space.
In this one we learn a secret about Anderson. And fine I take back what I said in the last book when I said she should fancy him instead. Yeah, maybe not. Jamal has issues but they are a good fit and getting closer again.
And there are angry fertility goddesses around. And those pesky Olympians. She is the one to stop them.
A good ending to this series. It worked buying the omnibus so I am glad for that, I did have book 1, but it was cheaper getting this one than the rest so I took a chance and it paid off.
Kitty does deal with a new scary big bad here, PTA. Dang those women, well woman ;), are scary!
One thing that I am very happy that have changed is thaKitty does deal with a new scary big bad here, PTA. Dang those women, well woman ;), are scary!
One thing that I am very happy that have changed is that there were less music talk. 500+ pages of constant music references can be tiresome so this book was a total improvement.
Right, to the book then! Book 15, omg I know! When did that happen? Did I not just start reading these?! Now she has 2 kids and her husband is president. And she has a lot more animals ;)
There is always something bad coming. It's like you take down one tentacle and then 2 more come out. Arms that sends out robots, aliens, you never know who to trust. And then there are those stupid Humans first idiots too. They hate all aliens and want them gone.
And then there was the PTA at the new school Jamie is going too. That will give her some trouble too, but then when is Kitty not in trouble? Luckily she is kick-ass and has great friends.
Action, aliens and I need another A! I can't think of a good ending. Dang. Lol. I read it fast. It felt light and fun....more

It starts with their lovestory, which I know ended badly, but not why. She married someone else. He was in exile after a duel. I know why he dueled, it was for a good reason. But it did cost him her.
And now they are back together. Well they are put together to solve a mystery. And they so do not want to work together. She despises him, he resents her. And I was all, omg talk talk talk!!!! Talk it through, but they are both angry for different reasons. Talking is not really what they want.
I liked Brilliana. I liked Niall. They obviously belonged together but there are so many lies and secrets in the way. But they will get closer, even if they are still angry, they really want each other.
Then there is the danger too, what is her father up too? Can they solve it?
Conclusion: It was a good lovestory- A bit of suspense, a lot of lies and lots of passion....more

But fear not, she is a wonderful writer after all and this was just up my alley.
Nancy comes to a home for well, troubled teens. Her parent's put her there to get better, but the home is not really for that. The women helping them knows very well they are not crazy. They have all been to different worlds. Now they need to learn with the loss of those worlds and being in the real world.
Now this was fascinating. All these worlds, so many worlds! All these kids stumbling in and then out of them. The loss they need to deal with then.
As for the School. Well sinister things are afoot. Nancy are thrown in the middle of things and a good story unfolds.

I can't remember exactly how much time has passed since the events in the last books. They said it, and I forgot it. Was it 10 years? Less? The previous books have been about strong women, now we get a man, but he sure is surrounded by women still. The book does have some great side characters.
Shara is dead. What? Come on. That was not nice. I liked her and she did so much for this country! This is a revenge book. Sigrud is a wanted man but he sets out like the devil is behind him. He is gonna kill those bastards that took her down. Nothing stops this man, he is pretty awesome. But there is also something strange about him.
The mystery of who killed her takes him on another route. To find her daughter, to find who the player behind it all is (that person grrrrrrr.)
And what would the book be without a few revelations. And that end! Ha, I did NOT see that coming. Omg, so many, Oh I can not say a thing without spoiling it. It was an epic conclusion. I could leave it at that. But it also showed how the world will continue to grow and change. Epic.
I like how the world is created. Those dead or hidden gods. The miracles they created that crumbled or still stand. It's a fascinating world. Not a medieval fantasy, but a world with magic and industrialization that now has brought us cars. It's such a nice mix of things and the books has taken the reader to different cities, all strange, all interesting.
Book 2 is still my fav cos that one was intense! This one had a different but excellent vibe. An I do recommend this series. I am sad to see the trilogy end, and I hope, hope, he will write more in this world.
Mystery, danger, revenge and quite a few miracles....more

The country is still a mess. I mean seriously, how can they ever make it better?! The Dukes are arguing. The Queen is a teen. And the common folk just want food on their table. But they have all made it this far.
Falcio is just so rightful. It's gonna be the death of him. I am glad he has Kest and Brasti at his side. They make quite the force. No one can stop them. They are my fav 3 musketeers for sure ;) No one holds a candle to them.
And all the side characters I have come to like. They really make the world and they are their own. They are fleshed out and easy to like...and hate. Damn that Trin, I just want for someone to end her.
Like I said before, there is a new baddie, it made for an interesting twist. And then there was that thing that happened too. I did not see it coming, but then again I always saw it coming one way or another.
I guess this was the final installment then? Sad. But it ended well, all those threads pulled together and I was happy with what I got.
A great series with awesome characters and an interesting world of saints and gods. Of intrigues and war. Assassinations and danger. The righteous and fallen. And there is always that feeling that makes you unable to stop reading. You have to race to the end to see if they all make it through this time around. Because you never know.
I do recommend this series. It is impossible to put down when you have started it....more

At first I could appreciate it. The rambling, the way we saw into his mind. BUT it got tiresome. It was too messy. Sure he was a good writer, and had a good story. But how it was put together started to drive me to skimming. I had no time to come up and breathe.
It was ok I guess. I just wished he would have given is a breather...more

This is UF, but it does feel different. I guess it's the intensity, kick-assness and love brooding that you can not find here that changes it. And sure, it is still intense at times, Dru is still cool and can save herself and there is a guy she likes. But it is very different.
In the last book they saved the world from doomsday...for a while. There are still seals that might be broken and a doomsday coming closer.
I like Dru, she is just, normal you know. She enjoys working in her store and doing the little sorcery she can. She has two good friends and all is well. Except that she misses Greyson that went missing in the last book, or did he? Is he stuck in the netherworld? Is he back? Still a demon? But this is her book, any man can wait in the sidelines.
She is cool and does not let a thing like impending doom stop her. Now, she will stop it. She likes to investigate things too much ;)
I enjoyed it. It was fast, short and kicked a punch....more

One sister stayed in her town in book 1, the rest of the siblings continued their road trip to honor their mum. A brother stayed behind in book 2 (even if I did not get to read his romance). And now only two siblings are left. Before I start with Peggy I so have to say that Belmont's and Sage's story looks to be great. What is his deal? I can not remember from book 1. They have something so raw and should just give in.
But this was Peggy's book. She has 4 failed engagements behind her and can not forget the football coach she loved back in College. A lot of time may not have passed but she has grown bitter and flighty. And hey I can see why when she goes to confront Elliott and make him ache for her. We get flashbacks from their romance and it was passionate and angry.
Elliott could not forget her either. And damn that man had issues, and religious guilt too. Move on man, you have nothing to be guilty over. He was so closed off and needed to be shaken.
Peggy just wants to move on but hey you are in still in love with him, you can not move on. But it is he who needs to change.
Lots of smexy times and dirty talk in this one, for all of you who like that ;)
Raw lust and anger. Romance and two people finding each other again and letting themselves fall in love....more

I so wanted to google and see what happened in that village. But I braced myself.
The book is told in present day and in 1952. I was not that fond of Irene who was fixing up an old bureau and started to wonder about its history. See I was all about reading about what actually happened.
In the past we follow Abigail who moves in with her sister. Not the best place to stay. But the village is nice, romance is on the horizon and something is looming in the distance. I also liked Abigail, she was, well not shy, just not that outspoken and she did not always dare to say things she wanted too. Which was totally understandable in the situation.
It was a good book and I kept racing towards the end so I would know what would happen, what was the big bad? Would there even a big bad this time around?
It was a lovely summer that turns into a mystery decades later....more
