She almost didn't buy it because it sounded too scary. Unlike your parents, Jennifer, my parents actually look at the back and care.... SOOOOO GOOD! I'm on the very beginning of part three. It really isn't THAT violent.
W....T....F! IT CHANGED IT TO "READ" Too bad. Now it's read. O...M....G! So awesome! Now I get why Jenn's so obsessed with Catching Fire because it must be better! Why does it still say "Hi :D~Tiffany who finally changed her name~:D" when I changed my name to "Tiffany who finally won a plaque for ice skating!!"????? Yes, did I mention that yesterday I won my competition. Just so you know... Wow. I just noticed. Jenn is right. Katniss is like the only main charrie that I like! YAY! Peeta is a weird name. PEETA CHIP!!!!!!! Why is Gale so normal??? What is the baker's name??? What is it with berries???? I LOVE KRONOS!
I love you, THE HUNGER GAMES! YAY! Whoo. I just noticed, I read it on Jenn's birthday... What else is there to say??? Why is this supposed to make me dislike snuggies???
Okay, now I'm gonna read this for the 3rd time. It's gonna be really good, just so you know. Wow. I just noticed. I haven't said anything useful. Other than this book is really really really really really really really good! Katniss sometimes has some anger management problems, but she's waaaayyyyyy better than Harry Potter.
It's really weird because this book has a weird effect on me that I have to cover the page so I don't know what happens even though I know. For example, when they announce the name of the girl tribute, I still cover the page even though I know who it is.
PS. This next part is spoiler-ish. But I'm not going to do the weird ALERT! ALERT! Thing... Oh. It's about a dream I had. Ha! I sound really weird... And it has one little charrie announcement from Catching Fire.
So I had this really bad dream last night. At first, I thought I was playing Katniss, but the events in my Hunger Games story doesn't go with hers. I was part of the Hunger Games, I suppose, but Cato finds me. For some reason, he has this weird ally guy... but anyways, he ask me to join him. But he doesn't know I'm Tiffany or something. But this other girl who is like Johanna from Catching Fire who tries to kill me with MY chainsaw or something. Cato gets all mad at me for leaving things out. Then he says to make it look like we planned that or something again. We run into my dining room (!!!!???) and we hide. Johanna finds me and I try to cut the saw with my knife but she gets me.. I run upstairs without her seeing cause she's talking to Cato. She's like, "If she want's it that way, I'll get her myself!" So I hide in my brother's closet (we're in my house-weird... O.o) and I wake up. So that got me all freaked out that Johanna was going to appear any second, but now I'm okay... I think. Actually, I'm never okay... Just like that story... if you haven't noticed.... I'm really weird.
I just noticed. How did the wolf-mutts get Cato. Like, he had the armor, right?
Okay. I just read this for the 4th time... I had a question, but I don't remember it. Oh well, if I remember then I'll post...(less)

Overlook of the whole story before spoilers: IT IS SOOOOO GOOD! Like, it's really sad with all the deaths, and stuff, but still! The thing about death being the narrator is weird. <--- Not a spoiler. You should know before you read. I'm not really sure why, but you know. Anyways, it's really good. This is one of the books I just have to give a spoiler for. I wish other people could read it, but oh well. They'll just have to suffer the pain of not reading this book. Too bad, bubs... I am sooo weird...
ALERT... ALERT... THE REST OF THE REVIEW CONTAINS 10000000000000 SPOILERS...
DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU HAVE READ THE BOOK.
OH WELL. CAUSE I'M JUST ABOUT TO BASICALLY RUIN THE BOOK FOR YOU.
ACTUALLY, THE FIRST REVIEW IS OKAY.... LIKE THE FIRST STUFF. WHATEVER. ************************************************* *********************************************************
12/21/09 OMG! This really is good. Jenn, you really do have a good taste in books!!!!! OMG! OMG! At first, I was like, THE BOOK THIEF IS SUCH A STUPID NAME!!! Like, if it is about the narrator, then why is it called The Book Thief?? I only figured out that Death is the narrator until Jenn told me... thanks. I'll keep posted!!!! Oh yeah, Meminger sounds like Mellark... PEETA!!!! And... WHERE DID LIESEL'S MOMMY GO?? pg. 137
OMG! OMG! AGAIN! I predicted that Max Vandenburg was Erik's son. I still don't get who Walter Kugler is. Well, I'll find out soon. Who dropped off the stuff for Max to escape. Walter or Hans?? And when it said that he was to open the book while he was still in the shack, it said, "Ignore the woman over there." Like what was that about?? Too bad. It's still really good. I can't believe Rudy and Liesel stole food! I don't know why this is so surprising. Did Arthur move because he thought they were gonna get him caught??? pg. 190
It's really good. Nothing really exciting happened, but the little book Max made was so sweet! I loved it! Oh yeah, and why did Mama and Papa not want her to visit Max for a while? Now what happened to Max's family... probably died... pg. 238
So, I haven't posted for a 100 pages. OMG! I was so scared that Max really was going to die cause the chappie was called Fresh Air, An Old Nightmare, and what to do with a Jewish Corpse. I was like, " OH NO!" I really like Max. You know how Max said that he was gonna punch death before he died? Well, I was wondering if death was gonna say that, but I guess not yet. She stole from the mayor's wife! TWICE! Well, actually, I don't feel so bad. I think Mama is getting better (nicer). How do they still survive? Like, they pulled through before, but cause Mama also had the washing and ironing. Oh well. I love the part of the snowman! I wonder what really made him sick, you know? Again, when Liesel gives Max the little gifts, it was sooooo cute! Back to the Max dying thing, I thought Mama was going to tell her that Max died. That was why her hair was messed up. Cause she didn't have time. She had to tell Liesel. But she had a good thing to say instead. YAY! OMG! I have to keep reading. pg. 335
12/23/09 Technically I read the chappies yesterday, but I'm posting now. So, when Liesel was saying how not only would Max have a better chance of dying, he would die alone. I was soooo sad. It made me like wanna cry. Also, the Death's diary thing is cool. Whoa. I just noticed that the story isn't about death. Wow. I'm really stupid... OMG! READ!!! How many times have I said that? In other context, too, I mean. pg. 390
12/24/09 Again, same thing. I read this chappie yesterday, but I had to go to sleep. Ugh. I knew Rudy would die, but... wahhh!!!!! But he probably would have died in war anyways. I wonder what they actually said when he went back to the dominoes... ha! Now I get the cover... I guess... It was really creepy with the Jew parade and stuff. It scared me. I hate how they are sooooo mean!!!!! pg. 412
I have a lot of questions that I don't remember. Well, the first one is about the naked Rudy... WHAT?? It's sooo weird! Also, the part where Papa sees the dead boy named Rudy. I got all freaked out like it was actually Rudy. And the thing about breaking into his father's store. I didn't get it. Oh well. There wasn't as big of a plot here. It's soooo sad how the second son died. (or was he the first?) It was kinda weird how she didn't want to leave the house. But in the end, they still all lived. Was the pilot dying the second time death saw Liesel? Right? Or was it the third. Whatever, it was still a great story. Wow. That was long. pg.497
YAY! I FINISHED!!! Actually, I'm gonna log on 2 times worth of reading. So, when Liesel was with Max during the march, I was sooooooo sad! I thought he died until the end. So did Ilsa Hermann adopt Liesel? After Rudy came out of the shelter, when he went to the plane, I almost thought that his father was the pilot. I was almost heartbroken. Was the last time death saw Liesel when he (?) took Hans and Rosa's bodies? Whatever. It was a great book and one day, I will steal it from Jenn... or I can just read it now.. I still don't get how Michael died. Like, what?? I can't believe everyone died! Wahhh!!!!! I wish Rudy lived. Who did Liesel marry?? Whatever, I'm just sooooo glad Max lived. It's great.
Overlook of the whole story after spoilers: Congratulations for finishing mah long review.. ain't it great?? So, about the book. IT IS SOOOOO GOOD! Like, it's really sad with all the deaths, and stuff, but still! I still wonder when Liesel and Max's family went. The thing about death being the narrator is weird. I'm not really sure why, but you know. Anyways, it's really good. This is one of the books I just have to give a spoiler for. I wish other people could read it, but oh well. They'll just have to suffer the pain of not reading this book. Too bad, bubs... I am sooo weird... Oh yeah, as you can see, because of this book, I have a best-books-ever category... JUST CAUSE OF THIS BOOK!
2nd time around: I still don't have answers, but it's still good! Like, how did Max live??? I don't remember the other ones...OMG! I JUST NOTICED! On page 421, it says Sankerl instead of Saukerl. Just an observation...
Side note: I'm sorry that I was so spazzy and messed up.
A review of my review two years later: wow. Like I said in my new profile, I was really immature and a wannabe weirdo... What was with the "soooooooooooooo" and the "bubs"? That was really messed up. I didn't realize how sad it was... But it was probably just me being immature again. Well, time to read it again! I wonder what I'll think of it after reading The Scorpio Races...(less)

I'm already adding this to my best-books-ever list. But you know what, it probably will be. SOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!! So freaking excited! I'm really pissed off about how I can read a book so quickly and it takes authors so long to publish the next one! Ahhhh,... ahh.... soo close, yet so far away... WAHHHH.... :'( I. NEED. THIS. BOOK. TO. COME. OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!! *is hyperventilating*
MUST. READ. BOOK. FIRST. DAY. IT. COMES. OUT. I'll probably finish it by the time the day is over... then I will cry because it is over... and laugh because Gale shall be dead. And his chalupa will be mine... okay. That PROBABLY won't happen, but whatever. Well, the chalupa part, but Gale probably will die. And I hope he does. Then Peeta and Katniss will marry and live happily ever after! Did I mention that Gale would kill President Snow and President Snow's bodyguards would kill Gale? Yeah, then Katniss will cry really hard, but then Peeta would comfort her and they would marry.
FOR THE REAL REVIEW!!!! NO SPOILERS... YET.
If I could only choose one word to describe how I feel about this book is unprepared. Wow... that looks stupid.... I guess I wasn't ready for the heart-wrenching moments. At first, the book was okay, average at best. You might going, "TIFFANY? THEN WHY DID YOU PUT IT IN THE BEST-BOOK-EVER SECTION?" in a really high voice. Well, maybe not, but you'll understand once you read my review... maybe. Slowly, it eased into Suzanne Collins's writing. No matter how sad The Book Thief was, nothing can compare to Mockingjay. (spoiler?) Too many people lost their lives in the book. Too many people that I cared about. I didn't cry or anything, but I cried inside.. cliche anyone? I guess I can't say much more without spoilers, so into the spoilers!!!!!
I'm kind of going to do the breakdown format like I did for The Red Pyramid. This time though, I'm going to add ideas and plots into the mix. From 1 to whatever, I'm going to list the importance and gut-wrenching-ness. Here is goes.. *takes in lots of air*
1) The Bombing in District 13- This is the least surprising and was almost boring. No one died and the only scary part was when Gale and Prim almost didn't make it. The description of the the bunker was confusing, but still had a Suzanne Collins effect on it.
2) The Rescue- Well, I can't say it was good. It was interesting with the propos, and how it kind of kept you in suspense when Peeta almost killed Katniss... (You better not get mad at me- I said spoiler!) It just the least bit disappointed me. This was so low in ranking because I did not enjoy the part where Peeta almost killed her because if you haven't noticed, I'm on Team Peeta. And I have been all along. And also, the description from the rescuers was a weak attempt for us to know what happened. There could have been much more description.
3) President Snow/Coin's killing and their characters- Coin's killing was a huge surprise, but President Snow's was quick and didn't give me any good or bad feelings. It was a bad way of just getting rid of him. President Snow himself wasn't that important of a character, but still his creepy self. His decisions affected what happened, but he wasn't a major character in this book at all. Coin, however, was a maze of mysteries. The only thing that I hoped they would tell about her was if she was actually a tyrant. Did she really send Peeta to kill Katniss off? I guess it's for us to speculate.
4) Epilogue- This was one of the most disappointing chapters in the book. It told us almost nothing other than that Peeta and Katniss had two kids and that they lived in District 12 forever. Oh yeah, and that Paylor was crowned prez. That was it. What happened to Gale? Was the government fair? How were Annie, Johanna, Beetee, and Haymitch? And the Capitol Hunger Games? I'm sure there are a thousand more questions I can't think of right now. She left us too much to speculate and I did not like it.
5) Beetee- He ended up being a very important character in this book. A background character, but an important one. He put the propos in and designed the weapons for the rebels. He doesn't get that high of a ranking because he was never developed in a way that it would be gut-wrenching if he died. We never learned much about him other than that he is useful with electronics etc, but we already knew that. I am surprised, though, that Suzanne Collins did give him quite a important job.
6) District 2- This was what seemed to be the wrapping up of most of the boring stuff and into the action. Unfortunately, she had to add more talking, pains, and sadness. The Nut made me crack up every time I saw it. It was actually a pretty good fight scene, though I couldn't imagine the pictures too well. I wasn't exactly sure where Katniss was at all times and the full depth of what ended up happening.
7) Tigris- I enjoyed this character and her role in the book. She was a surprise character that helped Katniss in her journey to kill Snow. I also could imagine Tigris, unlike some other less important characters in the book. I was actually pleasantly surprised and enjoyed reading about her past and how she participated in the games. The scenes that took place in her house also intrigued me like Peeta and Gale's talk. It was also very heartbreaking when Katniss talked about how she was waiting for Finnick to come bounding in and how so many lives were lost on that very day.
8) Katniss's many injuries- I think it was humorous yet ridiculous. I didn't think that Katniss needed to be hurt every single battle, but I suppose it added to the mood. Kind of. Well, I won't penalize Suzanne Collins for it, but I certainly don't applaud it. Many scenes in the book have to do with Katniss in the hospital, talking. Some of the conversations did add to the story, but others seemed like fillers. I didn't mid these scenes, but I imagine that Suzanne Collins could have done a much better job on it.
All for now- of course there will be more, silly! I have a whole list!
Note: Well, I think I'll write some more later, but HEY. I gave this book three stars. Who knew?(less)

Okay. I am ready to throw this book through the roof. This ending is going to kill me like Stefan almost did. I hate those endings. It's just like a cliffhanger and it says, "END OF BOOK TWO." Like, what happens to Cinna?????? I still don't get the snuggie thing!!!!! What's with all the explanation at the end??? It's confusing. Some parts, I don't get. Oh well. It was a good book, anyways. I really really really liked it. I actually like the main charrie!!!!! I don't like the Head Peacekeeper even though I'm supposed to like the villian..... usually. How else can I say this???? I............. LOVE................THIS............... BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I need to say another thing Jenn reminded me about. WHY ARE SOME PEOPLE NAMED GLOSS AND CASHMERE???? Okay. Guess. Is one of them a boy? Well, yes. Gloss is a stinkin' boy!!!!!! Seriously! If I was a boy named Gloss, I would commit suicide! How about you? Am I being crazy? Tell me, TELL ME!!!!!!!!!!
When I found out that, like this had more action than the Hunger Games, I was like, HOW??? I'm not gonna tell you how cause I don't wanna give you a spoiler, but if you want one, I'll give it to you!
So, you know how Katniss gets back into the games? I was like, OH MY FREAKIN GOSH!!!!! Like, I just thought it would be Katniss watching the kids she coached die or whatever. YOu know??? And how about Cinna??? After I heard about the Jabberjays, I thought they were using his scream, but no. So, what happened?????

BBBBBBBBOOOOOOORRRRRRIIIIIIINNNNNNGGGGGG!!!!!! Even the fighting parts were boring. Like Jenn said, I just kept waiting for an awesome climax, but there never was one. I liked the stories Dandelion told, though. They were all pretty funny... especially Rowsby Woof and the Fairy Wogdog. Also, you know when it starts with "The primroses were gone" or something like that and ends with "The first primroses were starting to bloom" or something like that? Shut up, you people who think this is a spoiler. Anyways, I just thought of THE HUNGER GAMES 'cause Katniss's sister is named PRIM for PRIMROSE! YAYAYAYAYAYAY! OKay. Those two sentences are my favorite part of the story! I know you think I'm weird... oh well.
You know how Hazel dies? Well, yeah. He dies in a cute way. In a way that you need to use..... CONTEXT CLUES. Haha. I used a word Ms. Barkley would use! Well, it says how Hazel decides that he doesn't need his body anymore. It's cute.(less)

Whi...moreI'm a little scared to read this book, but not because I'm scared it's going to be bad. I am scared that it won't be as good as The Scorpio Races. Which is a huge problem. It doesn't have as good ratings and Stiefvater even said that The Scorpio Races was her favorite book. And so, this book won't live up to my now-high expectations. So, if I get this book from the library, I need The Scorpio Races right next to me so I can reload on the best Maggie Stiefvater writing, OK? Good. Oh no! My mom returned The Scorpio Races and now I don't know what to do!!!! Alright. So I finished the book. It was okay... I have more to say, but I'll say it later. Like tomorrow... or the next day. So. It's been a week, or something like that, and I've finally been not-lazy and decided to actually write the review! I'm just going to start by saying it didn't disappoint me. You know why? Because I knew it wan't going to be as good as The Scorpio Races. And I was right. What made this book that much more inferior? Well, lots of reasons. 1) It was a cheesy love story. Grace sees Sam. Sam saves Grace. Grace loves Sam. Sam loves Grace. They want to be together forever. Yay. Yeah, you know in all books that the guy protagonist and the girl protagonist are going to get together, but you don't have to make the whole book about it. In other books, it's just a subplot, with girls cheating on guys and vice versa, but seriously. The whole book was about their love story. And fighting to stay together or something like that. Let's try to be more original, why don't we? 2) The failed attempts to enhance the story. You know what I mean. The blue text, the temperatures. The blue text wasn't really an issue. Just a waste of ink coloring. Basically I tuned it out so I could just read the book. You know, that's what they're written for. To be read. At first, I thought the temperatures at the start of each chapter were pretty cool, but then I just tuned them out like the blue text. Sure, it's great we know the temperatures, but who actually makes a note of it? No one. 3) Poetry-loving, music-loving Sam. Does anyone find this weird? I know some people do because I've read other people's reviews already. The weirdest part is that Stiefvater just drops Sam's love songs in the middle of the text, like this: "All of a sudden, looking at Grace's beautiful face, I think of a song..." I don't know about you, but I don't really stop to read it. I didn't like how 100 pages in, we learn that he makes the songs up in his head, and 50 pages later, he stops doing it. It wasn't consistent. 4) The character development wasn't nearly as well done as with The Scorpio Races. In TSR, I felt like I went to Thisby and met Puck, Sean, Finn, Dory Maud, Mutt, etc, etc, etc. Here, Sam and Grace were just two shallow lovebirds with lame personalities. Grace's parents are kind of neglectful, Sam loves music and poetry, Grace has dirty-blond hair. It would take me 15 minutes of thinking to come up with a list of 10 things about the two of them. All that flowing, beautiful prose Stiefvater created in TSR was nowhere present in Shiver. That was probably the most disappointing part. 5) It confused me. There were a lot of parts in the story where I was like, "Whaaattt?? What just happened?" or "Why the heck would you do that? You're an idiot!" Some of these times, my question never got answered. Or, it got answered about 50 pages later. Then, I'm angered about the whole thing, I'm not even concentrating on the actual events that are happening. Until I get confused about another part. Okay, so after the terribly-negative review I just made, you might be wondering what I even liked about this book. Unless you stopped reading because I bored you to death, or made you cry because you thought this book was wonderful. If so, you won't see this. Oh well. This book was good in the way that there were some cliffhanger parts. Some parts I did feel that I couldn't put the book down, but that was probably the minority of parts. Also, it was written by Maggie Stiefvater, so the descriptions were still fairly strong. I did enjoy watching Isabel grow from a hateful character to someone important to the story. Overall, I can't say I loved this book, but it won't stop me from reading Linger. No, it wasn't that bad, but I definitely recommend you reading this before reading TSR, so you won't be disappointed, just blow away by how much better TSR is. (less)

It was really good and odd. It's interesting how I imagined everything. In the end, it is a suttle ending. It doesn't really give away anything. It's really cute, though. Now, here's a Tiffany Production-like thing.....
The Epilouge By: Tiffany and Jennifer: After Mrs. Shepherd gets arrested, she gets turned into a German Shepherd! The German Shepherd(Mrs. Shepherd) wanders around and transforms into a bystander named Evan. Evan's friend, Billy goes over for a playdate and notices something suspicious. He takes the German Shepherd(now Evan) and somehow transforms into it. Evan becomes Billy, but the transformation was half wrong so Evan is now a half Transformer in Billy's body! OK, so the facts are: - Mrs. Shepherd's soul is in Evan's body - Billy's soul is in the German Shepherd's body - Evan's soul is in Billy's body, but is also half Transformer Get it??????
Bibliography: Both my eyes and mind and Jennifer's eyes and mind saw and came to a conclusion! Now, this is what happened after the end of this book! YAY!
Now there will be a *SPOILER ALERT!*
PS. Kyle went back to his regular life, Mac became a professional author, Tanya now lives with Lulu and her family, who is now going to a kindergarten! Isn't that cute???(less)
