The character development was outstanding. There is not one character in this book that was unbelievable. She makes the story come alive with her character building and that's not an easy thing to accomplish.

With the ending of the last book I was wondering if it was going to disappoint or not and well it did NOT.
Plot/Story was solid and filled with action. Characters were solid and believable. The mother, well just as annoying as ever! I was really glad when Bones and Cat put her in her place!
There is a sex scene in this book that was so damn hot, I think it was the best one I have ever read. Mainly because of how and why it happened and just the little things and wording that Frost adds to her writing that just makes it all the better.
Very good book, I can't wait to read the rest!(less)
**spoiler alert** Well I was pissed off at the previous book, so much so that I didn't think I would be picking this one up.

I am very glad that I love the series so much that I did, because Harrison has redeemed herself with this book. Not 100% though, as I am STILL peeved that she killed Kisten.
Finally Rachel is learning to accept things for what they are and she has a better understanding of who and what she is. FINALLY.
The self righteous *can't do this because its bad* was getting old.
I still wonder what is going to happen with her love life, and I am very grateful that Harrison didn't up and just throw in a love interest for her so soon after the death of Kisten. I would have stopped reading the series had she gone that route.
The world just gets better and better and the storyline took an interesting twist that I was very happy with. I love a book that can give me a ton of action and character building and this series has that hands down.
I have to say that while I have other favorites, because of Harrison's world/character/word building this series has shot up to the #1 position.
With this series you don't want to put the book down and even when things do not go as you want them to, she delivers an awesome story with solid characters that you find yourself completely lost in.(less)

I normally don't put a spoiler warning like that but this time I am being doubly safe - considering what I am fixing to say.
HOW IN THE HELL CAN YOU KILL OFF KISTEN!!!! What in gods name was Harrison thinking?! I kept thinking all along that this was not true.. that somehow he was going to come back and make everything better.
But no.. His ashes are in Ivy's room.
Ok, now that that is out of my system lets get on to the nitty gritty.
I did like this book and the added elements and danger that has their eyes set on Rachel. I suppose now that Kisten is out of the way (*grumbles a bit more*), that opens some doors for Rachel and Ivy - Or possible Trent?
Yup, we know by now that she really hates him.. even though she seemed to have a soft spot for him and seemed to have come to a better understanding of how he is. However, him killing Brett may have royally ruined that for us so /sigh.
Though, Trent and Ceri? Now there is an obvious story waiting to happen.
The book was good, and the story just keeps getting better with each new installment. The only reason I gave this book 4 stars instead of 5 was the fact that she killed off such a lovable character. That almost killed it for me.(less)
