We recently put our 10 year old boxer down and it was heart warming to read a book from the perspective of a dog. My husband was clearly the alpha to our dog and I chuckled when Enzo commented on his relationship with his master's wife. Great book about staying true to your values and giving a hand to others :)(less)

As difficult as it was to read about some of the cases, it gave me a lot of hope for these children. It also further enforced the importance of connecting with your kids. Children need as many positive relationships in their lives as possible (Just like us adults!)(less)

By changing what you put into your body you can change how your body feels. The standard concept; "You are what you eat" rings true in this book.
I do not have celiac disease, but I recently drastically changed what I eat based on guidance from a naturopath. This book really resonated with me and has inspired me to try foods I normally wouldn't eat.(less)

I'd like to think I could make everything from scratch like the author does, but that is just not realistic for me. (less)

We were looking for ways to discuss this with our son. I initially searched for a story book to read to him. I was very disappointed with what I came across. Nothing seemed appropriate.
A local bookstore recommended this book and I found it to be very helpful. The book clearly explains how children react to death from birth to 18 years of age. It gives very specific advice on the language that should be used when discussing this topic. I would recommend it to anyone who has to talk to a child about death. (less)

I really enjoyed the author's writing style. Throughout the book I found myself smiling at her various encounters. It wasn't laugh out loud funny, as much as soul searching and interesting. I mean, who wouldn't want to take a year off and spend it equally in Italy, India and Indonesia?
I have always loved to travel and I really enjoyed tagging along through her year of discovery. It's hard not to think about how you view your life after reading a book like this. I found all three 'sections' of the book to be equally entertaining. I was actually surprised by how much I enjoyed the section on India where she details her spiritual journey. (less)
