This is a great second installment in the fantastic Brotherhood of the Blood historical romance series with a unique take on vampire mythology, centering on six soldiers who became vampires by drinking from an ancient chalice infused with the essence of Lilith. Night of the Huntress focuses on the warrior vampire Bishop and vampire slayer, half-vampire Marika. Author Smith’s vampire lore is intriguing and Night of the Huntress has an exciting plot, thrilling action, and hot romance. The sexual tension between Bishop and Marika scorches the pages. I love this series!(less)

The fifth and final book in Smith’s Brotherhood of the Blood vampire historical romance series doesn’t disappoint. The series has a unique take on vampire mythology, centering on six soldiers who became vampires by drinking from an ancient chalice infused with the essence of Lilith. Night After Night focuses mainly on vampire leader Temple’s relationship with feisty red-headed heroine Vivian, but it also reunites all the characters from the previous novels. The chemistry and romance between Temple and Vivian is scorching hot. The plot is intriguing, the story had lots of twists and surprises, and all the series’ characters get nicely wrapped HEAs. Although I would have liked a few more scenes with Saint, Ivy, Bishop, and Marika, it’s still a fantastic, satisfying conclusion to the Brotherhood of the Blood series.(less)

This had a good story, a smokin' hot alpha highlander hero, and steamy sex, but I didn't like it quite as much as her MacLeods of Skye trilogy. Still, hot highlanders and hot sex are reasons enough for me to read the rest of the series. :) (less)

It simply doesn’t get any better than Lisa Kleypas. I loved the Wallflowers series, and I’ve been looking forward to Cam’s story, ever since he so completely captivated me in Devil in Winter. Instead of flying through this lightning fast like I did with the Wallflower books, I took my time and savored it, which was well worth it because Cam Rohan is like the finest, rarest dark chocolate.....exotically decadent and sinfully delicious!
Mine Till Midnight is a beautiful read full of magic, mystery, lush sensuality, and enchanting romance with charming characters that you’ll fall in love with, especially the dark, mysterious, devilishly sexy half-Gypsy and prosperous club owner, Cam Rohan. Although Cam longs to return to his tribal roots and yearns for the nomadic, unattached life of a true Roma, he’s irresistibly drawn to strong-willed spinster Amelia Hathaway and her quirky, luckless family. Cam opens Amelia’s eyes to a midnight world of magic and sensuality, and together, they experience an electric attraction, deep, intrinsic emotional connection, and volatile, lush love affair that will change them both, forever.
Cam’s total adoration, relentless wooing, and gentle caring and cherishing of Amelia is profoundly sweet and incredibly romantic. I just loooved him! I think Cam Rohan might even be my favorite ever Lisa Kleypas historical romance hero, which is really saying something considering that all of her heroes are flat-out the swoon-worthiest, very best of the bunch!
Mine Till Midnight is a lovely, engaging romance, and I’m looking forward to Win and Merripen’s story in Seduce Me at Sunrise. Big 5 stars!
Here are a couple of my favorite quotes:
Rohan’s fingertips drifted with stunning delicacy over her throat, behind her ear, pushing into the satiny warmth of her hair. “You are an interesting woman Amelia.” Gooseflesh rose wherever his breath touched. “I can’t f-fathom why you would think so.” His playful mouth traced the wing of her brow. “I find you thoroughly, deeply interesting. I want to open you like a book and read every page.” A smile curved the corners of his lips as he added huskily, “Footnotes included.”
Lord St. Vincent discussing with Cam Rohan about the monotony of bedding any random, willing woman versus the challenge and benefit of taking a wife:
A slow smile had curved St. Vincent’s lips. “Wives are a different case altogether. They require a great deal of effort but the rewards are substantial. I highly recommend wives. Especially one’s own.”

Forever together and yet always apart.....
WOW, just WOW! I absolutely loved this! Seduce Me At Sunrise is a beautiful, evocative, sensual, moving, and lush romance of forbidden love, powerful yearning, and long-denied desire between two star-crossed souls. Although dark, cold, hardened, mysterious gypsy Kev Merripen and sweet, fair, innocent, well-bred Winnifred Hathaway might appear to be opposites, they've shared an intrinsic bond and deep love for each other since childhood. And yet the soul mates seemed destined to be kept forever apart by various twists of fate, including family tragedy, Win's illness, differences in social status, a curse, a persistent, respectable rival suitor after Win's hand, scandal, but mainly because of Kev's stubborn, anguished refusal to allow himself to be with the one and only woman his heart beats for.
It's a powerful, touching, and achingly poignant romance of two lovers yearning for each other who must confront and heal the past, face their fears, and fight destiny to finally be together, forever.
These are my favorite Kev Merripen quotes:
"All the fires of hell could burn for a thousand years and it wouldn't equal what I feel for you in one minute of the day. I love you so much there is no pleasure in it. Nothing but torment. Because if I could dilute what I feel for you to the millionth part, it would still be enough to kill you. And even if it drives me mad, I would rather see you live in the arms of that cold, soulless bastard than die in mine."
I love you, he thought, looking at Win. I love every part of you, every thought and word...the entire complex, fascinating bundle of all the things you are. I want you with ten different kinds of need at once. I love all the seasons of you, the way you are now, the thought of how much more beautiful you'll be in the decades to come. I love you for being the answer to every question my heart could ask.
And it seemed so easy, once he capitulated. It seemed natural and right. Kev wasn't certain if he was surrendering to Win or to his own passion for her. Only that there was no more holding back. He would take her. And he would give her everything he had, every part of his soul, even the broken pieces.
