This is a short, sweet, and feel-good holiday treat for Sawyer and Chloe fans! And I thought Sawyer was the most perfectly swoonalicious, protective hero before (in Head Over Heels)?!!! *Content, dreamy sigh*
I just wish it had been longer and that we’d find out their (view spoiler)[baby girl’s name (hide spoiler)]. I really hope this isn’t the last we’ve seen of this endearing couple. I’d love another novella about their life together (as a family) a little further down the road!["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>...more
Loved this!!!! Everything about it was just fabulous! David was such a perfect, swoonalicious, husband5 stars – Contemporary/Rock Star Romance Novella
Loved this!!!! Everything about it was just fabulous! David was such a perfect, swoonalicious, husband-worthy hero, the memos were clever, saucy, witty, and sexy, the romance was sigh-inducing, sweet, and steamy, and it had just the right amount of sensual, hot sex scenes.
Introduction : In which I, David Rivera, set out the reasons why you, Thea Arsana, should make an honest man out of me.
First and foremost, I am insanely, deeply, forever in love with you. Since you admit to feeling the same, roadblock number one ceases to exist.
Second, your mother likes me. She kissed me on the cheek this morning and told me to hurry things along, start working on grandbabies for her. Your father, meanwhile, no longer gives me the stinkeye (most of the time). I think he’s resigned to my existence.
You know my parents adore you and both my brothers are in love with you. Your sweet little sisters, meanwhile, seem to find me giggle- worthy, and Molly thinks we’re perfect for one another. Ergo (I looked that up in the dictionary), there are no viable family reasons why we can’t get married.
Third, all our close friends love that we’re together. We don’t want to break their hearts by not going all the way, do we?
Finally, and most importantly, I want you to be mine in every way. I want every single man on the planet to know you belong to me, and every single woman to know I belong to you. Playing with you, arguing with you over silly, everyday things, making love with you, growing grumpy and wrinkly together with you (while continuing to have mind- blowing sex at least three times a day), that’s my idea of heaven.

Loved it! This was my favorite of the series! It felt less NA than the previous two books, particularly since the hero, Rome, is a mature 28 and a battle hardened ex-soldier. He’s a big, gruff, sexy, wounded, badass teddy bear, and I loved him! I really liked Cora, too, but I got frustrated with her continual fear and reluctance because of her douchebag ex. Still, Rome and Cora were perfectly imperfect together!
A couple of minor quibbles and possible spoilers:
(view spoiler)[The biker retribution plotline was a tad bit too predictable. The tattoo Cora got to show Rome her love and commitment was sweet, but I didn’t like that she did it while pregnant. (hide spoiler)]["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>...more
Nina Lane’s Spiral of Bliss series was one of my favorites of last year. So I was ecstatic about this spin-off4 ½ stars – Contemporary/Erotic Romance
Nina Lane’s Spiral of Bliss series was one of my favorites of last year. So I was ecstatic about this spin-off standalone novel featuring Dean’s best friend, Kelsey, and brother, Archer. Break the Sky is an emotional, passionate erotic contemporary that I highly enjoyed, and it mostly satisfied my sky high expectations. I did have some quibbles though, mainly with the heroine and how much the story seemed to focus on her.
If I was rating this for the hero, it would get a big, gooey, decadent 5++ stars. I loved Archer! He’s such a complex, captivating, sexy romantic lead. I loved his enigmatic, bad boy persona, rough edges, boyish humor, sweet, caring, gentle side, vulnerability, and strength, and he is one seriously hot, yummy dirty talker and dominate lover! Whew!Yowza! But it seemed like he was always the one pursuing, challenging, giving, and accepting and also constantly taking all of Kelsey’s sh*t.
I really liked Kelsey in the previous Spiral of Bliss books, but she grated on my nerves in this. She spent way too much time in her head. Everything was always about her. (view spoiler)[She often lashed out at Archer and seemed ashamed of him and the way he made her feel. I expected Kelsey to want to know more about him and his artistic side, stand up for him with Dean and others, and fight harder for him and their relationship. (hide spoiler)] I felt like Archer got somewhat shortchanged, and I wanted more and better for him, I guess. I just needed MORE ARCHER!!!!
Still, Break the Sky is one of the best erotic romances I’ve read so far this year with sensual, memorable, scorching hot love scenes and an unforgettable, totally swoon-worthy hero. 4 ½ stars!
Oh Holy Yowza! Cover Hotness Alert! Come to Momma!
I really enjoyed this one! I’ve read every single KH book and despite their more chick-lit feel and the no/very low4-4 ½ stars – Contemporary Romance
I really enjoyed this one! I’ve read every single KH book and despite their more chick-lit feel and the no/very low steam, fade to black love scenes, I always somehow find myself engaged, charmed, and entertained by her witty writing, fun, quirky characters, and sweet, humorous stories.
KH created another genuine, flawed, cute, funny, strong, insecure, loveable, lonely, relatable heroine in Emmaline and made me feel every emotion right along with her. Jack was a perfect, imperfect, romantic hero and exactly what she needed. I just wish there had been a lot more page time spent on Em and Jack together and much less on detailing their past relationships with their uber annoying exes. The ending felt slightly rushed, and I wanted a teensy bit more of an apology and groveling on Jack’s part. And of course, I keep hoping/wishing that KH will turn up the heat in her books by about 200 degrees! But it’s still a great read that made me feel, smile, laugh, and cry, so 4-4 ½ highly enjoyable stars!...more

I really enjoyed this and loved that the H/h were real, engaging characters in their mid-40’s. I just wish it had been longer with an epilogue to round things out, but still a very satisfying, entertaining, sexy read. Oh, and it’s free right now, so even better!...more
I really enjoyed this collection of sexy holiday romances, especially the fabulous stories by Emma C4.5 stars – Contemporary/Holiday Romance Anthology
I really enjoyed this collection of sexy holiday romances, especially the fabulous stories by Emma Chase and Kristen Proby. A great way to warm up on a chilly winter’s day!
Searching for You by Jennifer Probst – 3 stars
It’s a Wonderful Tangled Christmas Carol by Emma Chase – Loved it! Drew gets Scrooged!!!! He made me laugh (of course!), but it’s also a touching tale that brought tears to my eyes. A wonderful indeed 5+ stars!
Saving Grace by Kristen Proby – Loved this one, too! It’s a sweet, fun, charming, and steamy story with an amusing, klutzy heroine and a swoonalicious ski instructor (with a twist) hero melting the slopes and heating up the lodge together! 5 stars!
Safe in His Arms by Melody Anne – 2 ½ ‘it was just okay’ stars
Rekindle the Flame by Kate Meader is an enjoyable second chance/reunited lovers story and a great introduction to her new Hot in Chicago Firefighters series. 4 stars!

This quote from Augustus Waters in The Fault in Our Stars perfectly expresses my feelings about this book.
“My thoughts are stars I can’t fathom into constellations.”
I’m just incapable of coherently and intelligently expressing my myriad, jumbled mix of thoughts and emotions about this astoundingly beautiful, resonant, insightful, heartbreaking, funny, existential, quirky, charming, poignant, and unforgettable love story.
The Fault in Our Stars eloquently emphasizes the inherent and indomitable privilege and gift in simply loving someone. It’s a book that left me emotionally gutted, inspired and uplifted, and reverently awed over the transformative power of the written word. Hazel and Gus will stay with me, forever....more
Bold Tricks ended up being the best of the series, IMO, other than On Every Street, which is still my favorite. I didn’t hate Ellie nearly as much this time around as in the previous books, which was quite refreshing. And even more shocking...I actually liked her in certain moments, albeit grudgingly.

I was somewhat underwhelmed by the first book in this series, Come Away With Me, but I’m soooo glad5 stars – Contemporary Erotic Romance
I loved this!
I was somewhat underwhelmed by the first book in this series, Come Away With Me, but I’m soooo glad I kept reading because the rest have been some of my favorite reads of this year; not to mention having some of the most memorable, swoonalicious heroes. (Nate McKenna from Fight With Me is one of my all-time favorite husband harem worthy heroes!)
I had high expectations for this one from all the circling and tension that’s built between Caleb and Brynna in past books, and it definitely delivered. Caleb is a hot/cold, growly, sexy alpha SEAL hero with a sensitive, caring, protective nature who’s also vulnerable and tormented by inner demons and PTSD. Brynna is a strong and loyal heroine and she was perfect for him. I loved them together! I also adored Caleb’s relationship with Brynna’s inquisitive, vivacious twin six-year-old girls, Maddie and Josie. There were some very precious and poignant moments between them. And the ending and epilogue was satisfying and brought on some waterworks.
I love the close-knit Montgomery family and all their extended clan. One of the best things about this series is the relationships and interactions between all the characters and how much involvement there is in each book. The sexual teasing and hilarity that often results when the men and women get together provide some of the best and most highly entertaining moments. (The scene I posted below is one such instance.)
I can’t wait for hot, protective cop with a kinky side Matt’s book, Tied With Me, to come out! And I really hope she writes Dom’s story!
I loved this scene when the gang’s all together playing a dirty board game and Caleb is still trying to deny and resist his strong attraction and feelings for Brynna.
I drop my face to my hands and scrub hard.
"I wish I had your boobs," I hear Sam announce and raise my head to see who she's talking to. Of course, she's talking to Bryn.
"Right," she smirks and takes another bite of brownie.
"Dude, I do!" And just like that, Sam saunters across the room and cups Brynna's tit in her palm. "See? You have the perfect boobs. Stace, have you felt her boobs?"
Just kill me. Put a bullet in my head and end the agony.
"Oh yeah," Stacy waves her off. "She has great tits."
She has amazing tits.
"I wanna feel!" Jules bounces over and joins in.
"Give me more chocolate and you can touch all you want." Brynna laughs and then glances over at me. "This is the most action I've had in months."
"Motherfuckingsonofawhore." I grumble.
"Is Brynna single?" Mark asks Will.
"Keep your fucking hands off her," I growl at him before I know what's coming out of my mouth.
"Hey," he holds his hands up in surrender and laughs. "It was just an innocent question."
There’s been insta-love in this series before that worked for me, but this time around it felt ridiculously fast and jus3 stars – Contemporary Romance
There’s been insta-love in this series before that worked for me, but this time around it felt ridiculously fast and just too unbelievable. The story dragged and seemed repetitive at times and the suspense aspect was minimal. There are some moving, sentimental moments with lots of Kelly clan closeness, including the great epilogue, and I came close to tearing up at one point. But I felt like there was too much filler and that it could have been a novella.
