It isn't just that he feels that it is a waste of time, but the assignment is pulling him off an important case that he is working on. He takes is anger out of his unsuspecting protectee, Juliet Rose. But over the next few days and weeks he can't fight the attraction that he feels for her and they start a hot affair.
Juliet Rose Astor Lowell is in New Orleans to open a new hotel in the family chain. She is form Boston where manners and society are very important. When her assigned protector takes her all over NO showing her things that she has never seen before, she is intrigued by the new side of life that he is showing her. But after they start their affair, she finds that Beau has other ideas than a commitment. He wants to play the field and isn't ready to settle down.

Jason de Sanges is a cop that isn't happy to have to be pulled fromm what he feels are important cases to look into something for some silly women that had an in with the mayor. When he is later called to sit in on a meeting of local buisness people who have had a problem with some local graffiti tagers, he is disgusted to find the beautiful women that he had met before is on the committee and not only doesn't want the buisiness people to press charges, she wants them to let her help the children clean up their mess and then allow them to create a mural on the side of one of the buildings. Are you kidding?
Poppy Calloway isn't exactly happy to see the stern detective that she and her friends had met a sew weeks before. She has secret imaginings about him and she and her friends call him the "Sheik", but he is way to uptight for her. Being brought up for part of her life in a commune she isn't exactly main stream. But now that he is assigned to help her with the kids and their clean up she isn't sure how well this is going to go. But Jason surprises her with his insight into the kids and how he interacts with them.
When one of the kids is identified by a man robbing a jewelry store, and is in danger, Poppy and Jason try to protect the girl, but also find that their attraction for each other is too strong to ignore. But can Jason allow himself to fall for Poppy? Or will he let his family and their past get into the way?

Brittany is a single mother of an adopted son that is in school working to get her Nurse Practicioner's Licence. She is set up on a blind date with a friend of her brother-in-law. She isn't expecting much because she had been burned before. Her ex was a liar and cheater and she isn't thinking that there is another man for her. But she is willing to have a date to enjoy her night with someone, knowing that it won't be going anywhere.
Wes Skelly is a Navy Seal and a man biding his time, waiting for the woman that he loves to finally wake up and see that her husband is cheating on her. He has been in love with one of the other Seal's wife for years, but hasn't acted on his feelings. But he hasn't told her what is going on either. So, to help out a friend he is set up on a date with the sister of another Seal's wife. He has met her before, but there wasn't much to that first meeting, but what the heck, he'll give it a try and spend some time with a pretty woman.
Wes finds that Brittany is a careing and supportive Mother. That is something that he didn't get a lot of at home when he was her son's age. She is also funny and fun. They spend a nice evening together and he ends up spending the night at her apartment after a Credit Card problem. As he gets to know her more and gets to know her son he has a lot of respect for her. And as the story progress's she becomes more and more attractive to him.
Wes is not what Brittany thought he would be. He is much shorter and smaller than she thought he would be. But he is a lot of fun and they get along really well. She likes the way that he interacts with her son Andy, and Andy seems to like and trust him right away.
As the progress's Britttany and Wes become close friends and find themselves growing more and more attracted to each other. When Andy goes off on a trip with his team they find they can't fight the attraction any longer and start a romantic fling. Both of them feel that the relationship will have to end eventually, but though they won't admit it to each other they are finding it harder and harder to not fall in love. When Brittany is held by a crazed stalker Wes will do anything he needs to to save her and in the end admits his feelings to himself and to her.
This is a sweet and fun story that is an easy read. I give this one 4 out of 5 stars. ...more

While Macy and Gabe try to find their way to each other, Gabe must find out who is setting fires around town. And Macy needs to put the past behind her and find peace within her self.

What he doesn't expect is a beautiful ex model and her yappy little mutt to make things difficult for him. He also doesn't expect to be so attracted to her. But somehow he can't seem to help himself.

Joe Shannahan is a Boise cop that is tracking an art theft. While watching a suspect he is taken off guard when the subject turns on him, attacking him with hair spray and a quick knee to his jewels. though he finds that his possible thief is really hot to look at, and has a nice butt, he thinks that she has been smelling a little too much of those oils that she sells in her antique shop. She isn't just quirky, she is flat out nuts.
Gabrielle is a tall redhead that is in touch with her spiritual self and is looking for a man to be the other half of her ying. She wants someone in touch with their higher self, a man that can support her in her karmic goals. But when she sees a man stalking her and takes action to stop him, she finds herself arrested, and forced to become an informant for the police so they can watch her business partner and catch him fencing stolen art and antiques.
Gabrielle and Joe are thrown together in this situation, neither is happy about. But they find that they do agree on one thing, their attraction to each other. They can't help themselves from reaching for each other, but can't do anything about it until someone is caught in relation to the thefts. But even when things are put to rest when it comes to the art thefts, they can't face their feelings for each other and Joe especially can't commit. After a couple of months of misery apart, they realize that they love each other and need to be together.

I loved this book! I had been looking for this book for quite a while when I heard they were going to reprint Prince Joe and Forever Blue together in I loved this book! I had been looking for this book for quite a while when I heard they were going to reprint Prince Joe and Forever Blue together in one addition. I just had to wait until release date. Man that was a long wait! But totally worth it. I fell for both of these hot characters. Joe is ballsy and brash, yet a definate Hero. Blue is a little more brooding, but hot, hot, hot! You can't help but fall for them. I found both stories good and enjoyed their reads. I can't wait for the next re-release to come out. Tall Dark and Fearless comes out Sept 2010. Whoo Hoo!...more
