FINALLY! A book where the heroine it's not a poor, poor victim that can't do anything but all guys fall misteriously in love with her for no reason whatsoever. Thank you oh almighty god of literature.
I really, really love this book. It has absolutely everything it needs and more to make it an all around amazing read. Romance, action, drama, witty conversations, likeable characters, original elements, interesting religious background, humor, the list goes on and on. IT made my heart beat faster, slower, skip a beat and stop altogether. The writing style of the author is superb. She's obviously growing with her characters.
The first two books of the series now seem just rehearsals. Everything came together in this one. *sighs happily*
I'll stop now before I kill someone from over using hiperbole.
I can't believe I waited so long to star this series but for some reason I thought I had already read the beginning and hadn't liked it. Turns out whaI can't believe I waited so long to star this series but for some reason I thought I had already read the beginning and hadn't liked it. Turns out what I had read and disliked was the beginning of the vampire diaries and somehow got confused.
I'm so glad I gave it another try (or finally tried it). I didn't care too much about the teenage drama. I guess I'm getting too old for that lol. But, the story has potential and it can turn into something truly great maybe if it goes darker like Strange Angels by Lili St. Crow and Richelle Mead doesn't let it sadly loose it's appeal like she did with her georgina kincaid series.
Looking forward for more character growth by both heroines, especially Rose since I want her to be with my new darling... DIMITRI.
Oh, what more can I say about him besides the fact that he's everything I always like my imaginary crushes to be. Strong, dedicated, passionate, the best at what he does, a little antisocial, hard to earn his regard, respected, dangerous, smart, beautiful, and with a little serving of cold and lonely on the side. Just the kind of guy who would make you feel safe and adored, because he'd love you unconditionally and devotedly once he got over the fact that you may be a liability and that you just make him happy. Maybe he wouldn't say it but you'd just know. *SIGH*...more

This is probably without exaggerating the 15th time I've read it. I love the interaction between Heath and Annabelle. The dialogue is witty and entertaining, never too sappy or sugary to make a shot of insulin necessary. I'm not a football fan but it is easy to ignore that aspect of the plot. Annabella is (of course) a not so amazing woman who falls in love with someone who is almost unbearably gorgeous. He is extremely charming and has amazing eyes, the python. Despite my love for this novel I would just once like to find one with a strong female character, not as flawed as all the others. Books are a way to momentarily live in someone else's shoes. I just wish those shoes were more amazing (Naughty Monkey style ;D). I'm already a regular woman, why would I want to be that in Gio's-land as well?...more
